This is the easiest tutorial I've seen of this so far, it's very easy to follow and doesnt really require any math regarding the measurements. This is awesome, I'm gonna try this immedietly!
this was my first ever crochet proyect and i must admit it took me months to finish as I got very frustrated for not getting it right at first lol, luckily i persisted and it got easier as i went, also it helped me feel like i had something to look forward to during a hard time so thank you very much for the tutorial! it was easy and very clear :)
As a beginner crocheter I'm starting this project. I have only made a few things and my biggest project is a purse. I'll keep each day updated on how much I've done it! Day 1: Starting at 7:15 Chain 125 done at 7:22
i used a thicker yarn and a 9mm hook. i had a 160 chain and it took me 7 rows to make. although i did alter between double crochet and triple crochet rows. i used a cotton yarn for the sowing to make it easier and a mattress stitch. this tutorial was really helpful
Beautiful 👏🏽 I'm getting ready for my Jamaica trip. I've been crocheting from a child, just making the basic & I'm truly greatful 🙏🏾 for all the people that share their knowledge 🙏🏾 I'm can't wait to try this top and add a little bit of my touch 🙏🏾 thanks for sharing your Easies 👌🏾👏🏽
thanks for this tutorial! i recommend using inches or centimeters when talking about length or width, i am using thicker yarn so i have less stitches. this was pretty easy to follow but it might’ve been easier if i knew better how big yours is
i would love to send you how mine looks after i finish it, im planning to add white ruffles to the bottom and sleeves 😁 thank you for this tutorial! made it in about 8 hours 👍
this tutorial is nice but my advice to anyone looking to start, check out some other tutorials and then decide which one to follow! there's a few other methods (e.g. here she makes back and front then stitches together, someone else made the body and then the arms and stitched together) also this video is crocheting a black mesh top (albeit, she swaps to green but then swaps back to black) and the camera loses focus at times so it's kinda hard to see. I kinda regret not following another video cous I got confused esp at 7:46 I had to find another video that was clearer. I will say this channel has other cute vids though!
This is awesome thank you so much! I keep seeing them around and tried to buy a couple but meh, not great quality. But I love that I can make my own now!!!
I made this and everything was fine until I tried it on, its too small☹️ I tried attaching it but nothing worked. I was super disappointed cuzco I just pulled an all nighter finishing it 😪😪😪😔😔🙁 but the tutorial is really good I just got the sizes wrong, would recommend
So like we have to double crochet in the back loop? This is not my first project like the other i watch this video before i learnt crocheting and now that i am not a beginner i am able to understand so 3:37 can we do a normal double crochet or in the back loops??
I was so excited and started this project, finished the first part , now I'm in the second part but I'm out of yarns 😢 can you please give me any ideas to finish this project without using the same colour yarn (btw I'm using baby pink colour yarn)
I appreciate that you switched to using the green yarn so we could see better but right when you’re explaining key points on how to make a mesh stitch your camera unfocused.
you make two panels basically, they have to be exactly the same and you have to keep counting to ensure that when u see them together they’re gonna look good and uniform so yeah, two identical panels doing the exact same thing for both of them and then sew them together
One thing that I didn’t understand.. did you crochet the 3 rows in the end on both parts or just the front? It don’t understand how it is possible to sew the parts together if there are 3 more rows on only one part
maybe your tension is too tight! if you do the chains between the double crochets too tight it could definitely shrink your project. try and crochet a bit looser :)
I made the first piece and it was good and then i counted the chains to make sure for the second piece but now its too small… so im restarting and im guessing i made it too tight🥲
I was wondering if anyone could go into more detail about how you sew it together. I didnt add the part that makes it longer because thats not the look im going for. I just need help with 7:45
Hi there, I started to make this and fell short :/. Didn't think it would take more then one cake to make. I'm using Lion Brand Comfy Cotton 392 yards and fell short about 10-12 rows. Can you say app how many yards this black one that you made was?
I think I might of stitched too loosely with the second piece because the first and second piece have the same amount of stitches but the second one came out way longer. Is there a way to make it shorter without starting all over again?
Hi! On your tiktok you posted a video of a sweater that you said was just an extended shrug (it was shades of blue and white) , I was wondering how to do that because I have no clue at all. 😭
hi! i was wondering if by adding a few rows on top (like how you did on the bottom to have more coverage), will that make the mesh sweater more off shoulder ?
i'm guessing it would make your neckline rounder? if you'd like a more off the shoulder look i'd recommend leaving a bigger hole for your head when you sew the 2 pieces together so it can sit on your shoulders if that makes sense
When you got to the end of the first row did you do the double crochet chain 1 on the last stitch or just a double crochet and then the chain three to start the second row
Have you tried this method with other stitches? I’m looking to make this, but I want the mesh to be a bit more loose/to have bigger holes. Love this method over all the ones I’ve seen. It’s the least complicated lol
You can chain more after you double crochet! Instead of chain one, skip one stitch, you can chain 2 (or 3, 4, 5 whatever is your preference) and then skip the amount of stitches you chained. It’ll end up being more so looser rectangles rather than the squares the person in this vid is making, but still looks equally as good in my opinion! I’m lazy and wanted it done as fast as possible so that’s what I did hahahaha
This is the easiest tutorial I've seen of this so far, it's very easy to follow and doesnt really require any math regarding the measurements. This is awesome, I'm gonna try this immedietly!
I never ever crocheted, but I refuse to buy this sweater so let’s start a project yey, thank you for the tutorial !!!!!
dude fr it does not seem worth it to buy 🤣
@M I made it !!! It looks so good :)
@melly with y how long did it take you
@@yourroadtoknowledge8314 about 3 days :)
@@mellywithy thanks

Its easy
I’m so glad you figured it out!!
Making it in two pieces is brilliant. Thank you very much!

Same!
This was a pain in the ass to make but it’s so worth it. Tysm for the tut!!
How much yarn did you use ?
@@lealjubic614 I personally used almost 200 grams of cotton yarn

I have crocheted a lot of small toys but this is my first big project let's hope I don't give up halfway and complete it
Lol, real! Hope you didn't give up and it turned out how you wanted! :)
off topic but i think your so pretty!! I honestly love how easy this was to make!
So happy, this is the same way I do it..finally someone who does their crock tops like me..The others use the sweater type patterns
thanks for this tutorial! i recommend using inches or centimeters when talking about length or width, i am using thicker yarn so i have less stitches. this was pretty easy to follow but it might’ve been easier if i knew better how big yours is
Starting this with grape and hot purple sugar and cream yarn! Doing a 2 sided thing, might have to do it black and white next! Ty for the tutorial
i would love to send you how mine looks after i finish it, im planning to add white ruffles to the bottom and sleeves 😁 thank you for this tutorial! made it in about 8 hours 👍
Thank you for being the first person I've seen to show how you sew the 2 pieces together!! loved this tutorial
You must be so proud of your artistry...
this is so awesome and helpful thank you!!! great video!!
this is the most avg summer thing I'll be doing after my exams end on March 1sr
this looks sooo easy and it is it’s just so many chainsss anyway thank youuu 💞💞
Cute, my granddaughters will like this. Thanks 😊❤
turned out so so cute thank u for the tutorial
Wonderfully easy. You made it so ❤
Thank u for existing
I’m going to make this! I will update you when I’m done!
Thanks for the tutorial, very easy to follow.
This is definitely beginner friendly. Thank you so much for this tutorial
such a good tutorial! thank you :)
Дякую за цей туторіал. Все доволі зрозуміло, навіть мені з моїм, низьким, рівнем англійської 💜
Thanks for this! I have been looking for tutorials for thsi using 2 rectangles! Awesome!
I LOVE THISSSSSSSS. 💕💕💕💕💕💕
I love your smile you’re so beautiful😩😩
Genius! U could even join the two pieces with a slip stitch if u didny have tbe needle to hand 😊

Making this with swirly tassels as a jellyfish top for a friend :3!!
Blessings to you young Queen just love your beautiful work you explain it very well
I'm halfway done and just hit five hours, but it's gonna be so worth it in the end 😭😭😭
Making your top now. I'm using shiny silver yarn. BTW you are so gorgeous!!! 😻
This is awesome thank you so much! I keep seeing them around and tried to buy a couple but meh, not great quality. But I love that I can make my own now!!!
Can you do a video explaining how you were sewing it all together but in another color pls?
hey! I love the top you're wearing, could u possibly drop a tutorial for it?
for sure! i think krystal everdeen on youtube has a tutorial for this exact top too!! in case you dont want to wait for my tutorial 😋

do you have a tutorial for the top you're wearing in the beginning? It's so cute!
Going to do this but make one panel one colour and the second a different one so it's a reverse piece!
thank you for making the tutorial E A S Y
I was so excited and started this project, finished the first part , now I'm in the second part but I'm out of yarns 😢 can you please give me any ideas to finish this project without using the same colour yarn (btw I'm using baby pink colour yarn)
I appreciate that you switched to using the green yarn so we could see better but right when you’re explaining key points on how to make a mesh stitch your camera unfocused.
How would you go about weaving in your ends since it’s a mesh stich?
Okay so for the second sleeve I would have to start another side right ?
Is it possible to add a ribbed cuff on the sleeves at the end?
Is there a separate tutorial on how to actually sew the 2 pieces together? Im a beginer and dont quite understand
hey, did you make two such parts and sew them together or is it one extended from these two sides on the bust because I don't quite understand?
you make two panels basically, they have to be exactly the same and you have to keep counting to ensure that when u see them together they’re gonna look good and uniform
so yeah, two identical panels doing the exact same thing for both of them and then sew them together
i’m using mohair i’ll get back to yous when i’m done cx
When u were stitching both of the sleeves did u just skip the neckline and continue? Sorry I’m just a bit confused.
One thing that I didn’t understand.. did you crochet the 3 rows in the end on both parts or just the front? It don’t understand how it is possible to sew the parts together if there are 3 more rows on only one part
It’s definitely done on both parts
Great tutorial thanks!!!
Ficou lindo vou fazer para minha filha. Obrigada
idk if its because im using a 4mm hook but even though i first chained it as long as across my body, the more mesh stitches i did the shorter it got 😭
maybe your tension is too tight! if you do the chains between the double crochets too tight it could definitely shrink your project. try and crochet a bit looser :)
I made the first piece and it was good and then i counted the chains to make sure for the second piece but now its too small… so im restarting and im guessing i made it too tight🥲
So do you make two panels of the same chain you did and then make the body part or what do you do if anyone can help?
I was wondering if anyone could go into more detail about how you sew it together. I didnt add the part that makes it longer because thats not the look im going for. I just need help with 7:45
Wait so I have to make the 189 chains and 11 rows TWICE
This has to be the easiest bolero ever to exist
BROOO i made it but it turned out 2 sizes smaller than me.
Thank You Agian. ❤

I don't understand how to continue after the third chain on the second row
Tysm.
I have been wanting to crochet a top or clothes for a while now I can I'm a beginner tho lol
Where do we increase if we want a flared sleeve
I think I might of stitched too loosely with the second piece because the first and second piece have the same amount of stitches but the second one came out way longer. Is there a way to make it shorter without starting all over again?
Just make the bigger panel the front and stretch the other one when joining
Hi! On your tiktok you posted a video of a sweater that you said was just an extended shrug (it was shades of blue and white) , I was wondering how to do that because I have no clue at all. 😭
Wow am impressed 🥰🥰

I accidentally made one piece longer, is there a way to add to the shorter one without messing up with the stitch pattern?
What hook do i use to make the holes smaller
smaller hook
didnt know how much longer than my wingspan i was supposed to crochet.. its so short now
oh, your starting chain might be too tight. Try crocheting it really loose :)
how would i widen the sleeves because i want to make the sleeves like bell sleeves
When you got to the end of the first row did you do the double crochet chain 1 on the last stitch or just a double crochet and then the chain three to start the second row
yea at the end of the row you do a double crochet and chain three :)
I did 229 chain because of 0:40 then did the mesh stitch for 11 rows tall then at 4:20 I got lost I have just the 11 by 229 piece so I’m confused
What does across your body entail? Like your arms and chest or your body around?
At the end where the chain 3 is I assume we dc at the top of chain 3
yes double crochet into the 2nd chain of that chain 3
instead of this being a small sleeve top , can you extend the body and make it a sweater ?
yes of course! just keep adding rows to the body x
i finished the project but i would like to extend the sleeves so i wondered if anyone knows how to do it
Can I make a foundation chain before I start the mesh
Sc foundation chain or dc?
you can but then the first row won’t have any gaps so it won’t be a mesh stitch :)
@@nikitanightingale yeah no I did it the way u did
Hey, I'd like to make that but have the end of the sleave larger than the rest, does anyone knows how I can make that? Thank you ☺️
what kind of yarn have you been using?
great tutorial! (didn't follow it lol) But i've seen that top before so if anyone knows the name of it or a tutorial would be great😊😊
hey this is amazing ! i wanted to know if you did two sleeves then sewed it together ?
Yes
Have you tried this method with other stitches? I’m looking to make this, but I want the mesh to be a bit more loose/to have bigger holes. Love this method over all the ones I’ve seen. It’s the least complicated lol

what i did was just use a bigger hook so it’s looser
you could also try doing triple crochet instead as well? it would make the gaps bigger :)
can someone please tell me how many yards of yarn does this project require
Going to the Taylor swift concert as “Audrey” from the Lorax, and am gonna make this as the sleeves instead of the undershirt!
Is this acrylic or cotton yarn?
How many skeins did u use?
amazing tutorial! what is the measurement for the width of the arm?
I think it depends on how you want it to look
