Okay so for everyone confused i would do this: A cup is 10 B is 12 C is 14 and so on so forth. So what your gonna wanna do after chaining instead of going into the first stitch skip 2 chains and put a single crochet into the third chain and continue single crocheting until you reach the end follow the steps she does with the chain one and turn then when you get to the increases after the first increase just put a single crochet into those extra increase stitches so for the row after my first increase after i made it back to the top i had 13 single crochets instead of 12 so you’ll just be adding a stitch everytime.
I’m a little confused… do you keep stitching 3 into the original middle or do you stitch into a higher middle stitch- mine is just getting wide and oblong almost like an arch not a triangle. Please help!!
higher middle stitch! you will NOT be using the same original middle hole the whole time, but instead, as you add each row a NEW hole will become the middle hole, not the original one. hope that helps!
Wow! Thank you so much for this tutorial. I have been trying for weeks to make a cup by following other tutorials, and it just wasn't working out. I'm halfway through this video, and it actually looks like a cup! I'm excited to finish and try making one of your beautiful tops.

I've only got a small cup going but it's shape is good and it's not lopsided!!! Thankyou for the video I will be watching your channel again❤️❤️

@@anja-p I'm not too sure. Gauge is a really big factor on how your stitches are made, (tightness or looseness). It would also matter how tightly the yarn is wrapped. So I guess not.

Your tutorials are simple and straight forward.. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 I'm still learning how to crochet different stuff and hopefully I'll be able to launch my own store soon
Ilysm this is my first crochet project that doesn't tension, that I'm comfortable with, easy, fun, and good explanation! Your so sweet too! You deserve a like and a sub!❤
Try holding your yarn tighter! Loose stitches get pulled up when you go over them in the next row, thus creating big holes. Tighter stitches help with that
i love this tutorial you did such a good job teaching it and making it simple. This is a big project for me since im a beginner and i didnt get frustrated at all! Thanks for this!
I feel like I still am having the curving up problem (like the cup is in the shape of a diamond). I am adding a stitch and I am pretty sure I'm on the last stitch. I am so confused lol
i recommend putting a stitch marker or Bobby pin at the middle stitch to make sure you’re putting it in the right place. also make sure that each side of the cup has the same amount of stitches. so for example, if one side of the cup has 12 stitches, the other side of the cup should have 12 aswell, and you should have one extra stitch which will have the 3 single crochets all in that same stitch. hope this helps
yeah I'm DD, working with 4mm thread and it's curving everytime. :/ I swear i got my stitches down this time it looks near perfect but I'm probably just going to transform these cups into the bottom of a bag or something and try again with someone elses video

Thank you so much this helps a lot for future projects and I love how it's so simple and how you thought of all the possible ways it could go "wrong" :)
Amazing tutorial! I was following a different tutorial that was much more complex, but this one is so simple and makes the cup look a lot neater / well done
Omg this is amazing! I’ve been so confused with how to do the 3 stitches in one at the top and I totally understand now and my top is looking so nice! Thanks soooo much
I've been looking for a simple tutorial like this for months to make a top like this for myself and I can't thank you enough for creating such an easy to follow tutorial! 💗
8:13 I’m re-watching this because I’m going to make another because my daughter went to the boardwalk and all her friends wore her crochet tops! so now they want top so here I am again two years later 🤣 When I asked about the middle stitch I just meant the initial first one that you went through, I understand what the middle stitch is after you’ve already put three sc in the initial middle stitch, I think I was confused by middle stitch and like middle space because there’s no stitch between those two rows it’s a space and I totally get it now and figured it out! 🤦♀️Sorry I was confused, Super excited to make these next ones! Take care 💪💓✨
I tried to make cups after watching another video on RUclips and my result was disastrous. I thought I’d never be able to make them. However, your video was just what I needed to see! I’m so happy with my results. You simplified this in a way that is easy to understand. Thank you!
How and where do i end the cup when im done? Like where to put the knot and secure it from getting loose? Also great tutorial, im a beginner and it actually looks passable 😂
This made this sooooo easy the first few videos I tried had numbers and had all this weird stuff but this just simplified it for like beginner friendly level 😊
I love your tutorials, however I’m wondering what the “middle stitch” would be, is it the same space as the last single crochet in the row,? I’ve completed your projects before ( my daughter loves the halter tops) but I’m curious because I always wonder if I’m putting the top 3 single crochet in right spot? Thanks again 😁🙏🦾💞🤜🤛
you will NOT be using the same original middle hole the whole time, but instead, as you add each row a NEW hole will become the middle hole, not the original one. hope that helps!
8:21 or you can just put a stitch marker in that one but if you don’t have a stitch markers you can just use a paper clip or safety pin and I have a question when ever I’m doing like a straight project it always goes like twisty kind of and yes I am chaining at the end of my projects and going into the FIRST stitch
thank you so much for this. i was following another tutorial but couldnt figure out what i was doing wrong for the life of me - my cup kept curving the wrong way. this helped so much
Hi! so when I was doing mine when I came to the middle three stitch increase part I thought I was doing it right but my pattern ended up more curved than pointy. any tips to fix that for future projects? This was my first attempt at a cup so I know it's not going to be perfect haha thanks again!

As I understand, it has an effect on the slant and tightness of the stitches. Yarn under is often used for amigurumi (crocheted stuffies).
I love how you tell us what each stich is for when I watch another tutorial video I end up questioning what would happen if I didn't do that stitch? I love how you explain ❤
Your tutorials are simple and straight forward.. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
I'm still learning how to crochet different stuff and hopefully I'll be able to launch my own store soon
Ilysm this is my first crochet project that doesn't tension, that I'm comfortable with, easy, fun, and good explanation! Your so sweet too! You deserve a like and a sub!❤
How do you make it so there aren’t large holes where you go in the same hole 3 times at the top?
Try holding your yarn tighter! Loose stitches get pulled up when you go over them in the next row, thus creating big holes. Tighter stitches help with that
i love this tutorial you did such a good job teaching it and making it simple. This is a big project for me since im a beginner and i didnt get frustrated at all! Thanks for this!
This is exactly what I needed! Thank you for your creativity, time, and talent!
Literally a perfect tutorial! Got it down perfect first try because of this 🎉 thank u so much will absolutely be following more of ur tutorials! ❤
I feel like I still am having the curving up problem (like the cup is in the shape of a diamond). I am adding a stitch and I am pretty sure I'm on the last stitch. I am so confused lol
It happened to me too!!
i recommend putting a stitch marker or Bobby pin at the middle stitch to make sure you’re putting it in the right place. also make sure that each side of the cup has the same amount of stitches. so for example, if one side of the cup has 12 stitches, the other side of the cup should have 12 aswell, and you should have one extra stitch which will have the 3 single crochets all in that same stitch. hope this helps
same omg
yeah I'm DD, working with 4mm thread and it's curving everytime. :/ I swear i got my stitches down this time it looks near perfect but I'm probably just going to transform these cups into the bottom of a bag or something and try again with someone elses video
crocheting is therapeutic in itself to me but your voice adds so much to it too! Thank u so much for this tutoriaaaal
Thank you so much🦋 I've been looking for a new hobby in these times and since I already sew this is perfect for making even more clothes myself😂
Your way of crocheting is so satisfying
I love this tutorial! I made my first crochet crop top from your tutorial two years ago, now i'm making my own crop top tutorials!
I had struggled in the past making cups but using this tut mad it so clear and easy how to do it properly so thank you ☺️
“I have a smaller chest so I do 12”
✨ me using 8 ✨
i wish i was flat
I had to do 35
i used 4
Just adding in, this number will also change depending on what size yarn as well as what size hook you use! Don't pay to much attention to it💗
i had to use 8 too 😭
FINALLY THE CROCHET PERSON IS NOT USING A BUNCH OF UNKNOWN TOOLS THAT LOOK LIKE THEY COULD DO WITCH CRAFT AND THEY MAKE IT FOR BEGINNERS AND ITS NOT TO SLOW OR FASTTTT I SUBSCRIBED
Girl I always get confused when it comes to crochet but your way of showing it and explaining it's impeccable... I can't believe I actually managed to get this right!!! 😮 I will definitely try and follow your whole tutorial and make myself a nice crochet top 😻😻 thank you so much ❤❤❤
Omg thank you, thank you, thank you!! This was explained so well I was able to make it, my daughter is going to be so happy once it's finished 😊
5 stars!!!!!
This is my first time doing this, and it turned out amazing, also you explained so well
Thank you so much this helps a lot for future projects and I love how it's so simple and how you thought of all the possible ways it could go "wrong" :)
You are so welcome! I am glad it was helpful(:
your tutorials are so easy to follow, thank you
You're very welcome!
Amazing tutorial! I was following a different tutorial that was much more complex, but this one is so simple and makes the cup look a lot neater / well done
Omg this is amazing! I’ve been so confused with how to do the 3 stitches in one at the top and I totally understand now and my top is looking so nice! Thanks soooo much
Thank you! Best tutorial ever I’ve been watching videos all day and still couldn’t get it watched your video and learned the first time!
I've been looking for a simple tutorial like this for months to make a top like this for myself and I can't thank you enough for creating such an easy to follow tutorial! 💗
8:13 I’m re-watching this because I’m going to make another because my daughter went to the boardwalk and all her friends wore her crochet tops! so now they want top so here I am again two years later 🤣
When I asked about the middle stitch I just meant the initial first one that you went through, I understand what the middle stitch is after you’ve already put three sc in the initial middle stitch, I think I was confused by middle stitch and like middle space because there’s no stitch between those two rows it’s a space and I totally get it now and figured it out! 🤦♀️Sorry I was confused, Super excited to make these next ones! Take care 💪💓✨
this video is literally AMAZING, thank you so much. I thought mine was gonna look so bad but it turned out REALLY good. THANKSSS!!
This tutorial was so easy to follow I’m starting my first piece right now and will hopefully finish it by the 27th
You should do a tutorial on the granny square crochet dress!!!
this video is so helpful. im such a visual learner, and they way you film your tutorials are so easy to understand. Thank you!
I tried to make cups after watching another video on RUclips and my result was disastrous. I thought I’d never be able to make them. However, your video was just what I needed to see! I’m so happy with my results. You simplified this in a way that is easy to understand. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing on how to measure the cup sizes that really helps I'm not telling you how many times I've frogged a cup to get it right
How and where do i end the cup when im done? Like where to put the knot and secure it from getting loose? Also great tutorial, im a beginner and it actually looks passable 😂
This is my first project with crochet, and I'm finding it a little confusing but it's making my cat hang out with me so I'm not complaining.❤
this is the best guide for beginners!!! 💙 also a fan of your works!
This made this sooooo easy the first few videos I tried had numbers and had all this weird stuff but this just simplified it for like beginner friendly level 😊
So uh at 3:47 are we starting the new row into the chain 1 we just did? Like that’s the first one?
I think she means the first single crochet instead of the chain 1 :)
Omg thank you so so much. i am 11, and i am a beginner, so this took me about 15 minutes for each cup, so thank you so much
Wowowowo!!! I am in the process of making this and I want to thank you for a sweet and simple tutorial ☺️
Omg before this video I couldn’t even know how to make a cup but thanks to you now I can make different tops with the cups!
I was doing the cup absolutely wrong, until I watched this video! Thank you, this is really helpful!!
This was probably the most helpful crochet tutorial I’ve ever seen. Thank you!
I think what she meant by "middle stitch" is the 2nd stitch of the the 3 sc she crochet in the same stitch .
I appreciate this as it is just what I was looking for. Have the perfect yarn on hand. Thank you!
Awesome! So glad you found this helpful! :D
@Armando Aranda why so specific bahahhah
thank you so much for this. i was following another tutorial but couldnt figure out what i was doing wrong for the life of me - my cup kept curving the wrong way. this helped so much
Your voice is so sweet and lovely!
This was very helpful, and probably the best crochet tutorial ive seen
Hi! so when I was doing mine when I came to the middle three stitch increase part I thought I was doing it right but my pattern ended up more curved than pointy. any tips to fix that for future projects? This was my first attempt at a cup so I know it's not going to be perfect haha thanks again!
❤❤ you are the best teacher ever I can finally crochet a cup🎉
This is great! So how do I attached this to the top?
You can crochet it to the top or sew it but I would suggest single crocheting it :) you could look up a video on how to do that
when we knit 3 times in the same hole do we use the same hole or every. round its a dif one?
