I watched many other tutorials, but this was the best one... Thank you so much for showing step by step how to make a cup... I've already made one now based off if you were tutorial! Really helpful. Thank you for creating this. PS - I forgot to mention that your voice is so calming, I was feeling stressed out with all of the other tutorials I watched, but your voice really helped me stay calm, cool, and collected. You really have a gift! I hope you continue to make tutorials and content.
Thank you so much. I've been intimidated by making clothes for the longest but recently I've been doing it and tonight I decided to tackle this part. Hot girl summer is about be to LIT.
I’m a beginner. This has been the best tutorial I’ve ever seen!!! I’ve tried to make this for about 4-5 months. It was so easy to follow. Thank you so much ❤
OMG THIS IS THE BEST TUTORIAL!! I've lost count how many times I redo my project before watching this video. This method suits best for me, thank you!!
Thank you for sharing this tutorial ☺️ I've been crocheting for almost two years now and I have tried so many times to learn to crochet cups for tops and I've never been able to figure it out until now ❤️ straightforward, not too fast, not too slow, nothing overly complicated or confusing, and great videography ❤️❤️
I'm not a beginner but i loved how u gave such helpful tips and included a tutorial for weaving ends. i really needed that when i started crocheting 😂😂
I can't believe I made it! This was super helpful, thanks for clear instructions and a good-quality video💕 my cup didn't turn out symnetrical for some reason but it's not too bad. With this video I at least made it to the end, thank you once again!
I just started crocheting 4 days ago and this tutorial was perfect! I was able to do it after like 4 times ❤ Do you know of any videos showing how to attach the bottom part of the cups?
What if your bigger than a 1x how do I proceed with starting chain and how many rows I’ll need? You’re the first person that has clearly explained things. Hoping you can help
It would be a miracle if I could find a pattern for the bigger chested women, like from 2x to 5x even. Some of us just have bigger chests. I, for example, am a 44 to 46 DDD. It’s crazy.

Hello, I’m so happy this video was helpful. I currently do not have a halter top tutorial, but that is a great recommendation for a future video. I’ll be sure to make one ❤️ thank you for watching
Hello friend, 👋🏾 Yes, but the chart in the video will not work for you because the weight of yarn is different. Follow the instructions down below # 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 = 𝗺𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 # 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘀 = 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 cup 𝗶𝘀.
Medium 4 yes. But if you like to use a different size yarn (the amount of chains is the measurement from the middle of your breast to the bottom & the # of rows is the measurement of how wide your breast is ) good luck 👍🏾
This tutorial is way better than Passionknits!!! Thanks for being so clear! If I have small breasts but a wider torso, should I do more rows than chains? Like, 12 chains to start but 14 rows?
Hello friend. if you want a perfect fit. your starting ch is the measurement from the bottom of your breast, to the middle of your breast . The amount of rows measure how wide the cup /breast are. you don't have to make the cups as wide as your torso. the cup would prob come out to big. My suggestion is to make the cups your breast size, THEN before you connect the cup, chain some chains (long enough to cover your torso), then crochet into your first cup, crochet across it and connect it to you 2nd cup, then at the end, chain the same amount of chains your chain in the beginning before entering the first cup. This way your top is wide enough to cover your torso, but the cups still fit your breast I really hope that helps. Thank you so much for watching good luck !!
here is an example. this is a different type of bra cup but its a good example. go to the video and go to time stamped that says (connect cups) -ruclips.net/video/BLxvnrxQWkw/видео.html
Are you making a top with like a corset back? If that’s the case it’s really about the way you adjust the top. You want to treat it like shoe laces. Put the top on and instead of just pulling on the stings right away , you are going to grab the part of the string that is at the top in your first holes and work you way down to the rest of the holes, That should do the trick. There’s alot of video on how to do it on TikTok ➡️www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLRxcGTQ/
@@thecrochethermit It's hard to explain lol...I was going to make a tank top but it ended up becoming a racerback design. When I went to connect the cups, my measurements got thrown off by the rounded cups so it added to the width across the band. It's not a corset back so I can't tighten it that way. I managed to find a way to make it snug enough so it's not super loose but there is no boob support.
The chain is the measurement from the middle of your breast to the bottom . And the rows is the measurements of how wide your breast is. I hope that helps . Thanks for watching
me too cuz I’m trying to make sure I’m not crocheting too tight or too loose- especially when making tops for other people I don’t wanna ask to measure their boobs😭😭
Xs is smaller than A cup S is A cup M is B cup L is C cup XL is D cup XL is DD cup If you adding edging it will ad another row or two so it will make it wee bit bigger so its good.
Hi great question. your are doing it correctly it’s suppose to curve. Breast have a natural cuff to them , so the cup curves to match. Thank you for watching 🤍
Now that I think about it, you could also be skipping the stitches to. I wouldn’t fully know for sure without seeing it. But marking your first and last stitches will help.
I figured out what I was doing wrong! So at the base there is the end stitch where you turn it around to crochet to the top of the triangle. I was crocheting in the stitch where you turn it around and it was making an odd shape. Thank you for the stitch marking suggestion @thecrochethermit ! It helped a lot!

My top came out too loose around the cups...any way of tightening them up for more bra support without undoing the whole project?
What do you mean around the cups ? What kind of top are making with the cups so I can have a visual?
