Dying to get back there but in Australia we have travel restrictions. Could you please tell me how much approximately a taxi or the uber equivalent is from Chon Buri to Central festival. Thanks :)

yeah. I want a better living room and I don't want the bed near the balcony. That just makes for more noise in my opine after 15 trips there. The water view is nice but the street noise and cars and bikes entering and leaving the complex looks like a problem

15 years ago I was $468’000 in debt living in America sold our house and have began living in a motorhome. Most people would have filed for bankruptcy we worked hard made major sacrifices and about a year and a half ago we were debt free. In SoCal it still was costing us $100 a day to survive. We built a house in Thailand at a cost of $100k and moved in one month ago. Have yet to figure out out monthly expenses but I’m going to guess about $100 brother I think we dodged a bullet and got out of there just in time.

She helped me start a successful business that we were able to sell For a nice profit just in time I might add.

Great choice and everything good. The bottom is falling out of the condo rental market right now as there are so many living in hope owners who have not had a renter available for many months. A good allround monthly cost, I imagine you took the opportunity to negotiate the rent down to a sum you were comfortable with as well. Only slight downside for me would be that you say you are the first to rent this particular condo, which on one hand is nice because everything is new but on the other hand you become the guinea pig to find out where the faults are. Would be good if you updated this vlog after a month or so just to comment on if anything untoward reared its head or any unsurprising leaks or equipment failures.
Quality vlog again. I have interest because my condo 12 monthly rental expires next month and as such have plenty of opportunities available on whether to move or give my renting owner the chance to halve the monthly cost for another 12 month contract. Its great to have all the options in the renters favour for a change

Please... How is the wall thickness? The newer places tend to have very thin walls. The Japanese joke is... If you want to put a nail in the wall to hang a picture.. Talk with your neighbour so he can buy a picture for the other end of the nail.
There are a few new towers in Pattaya and Jomtien that are unlivable.
People should know... Facing the sea in Pattaya is the hot side of the building. It gets the afternoon and evening sun. Which adds a hundred $ to the aircon bill a month. The cool side of the building is facing south. Next best is east which gets the morning sun.

Good questions. This faces North, no direct sun any part of the day, that is actually the coolest side. Very rare to find a north facing unit with water view, which was of big interest to me. The walls are thick, I have never heard a noise from above below or from the side in the month I've been here.

I like it. The only negative for me is that it's too close to street level. I would have chosen a higher floor to reduce the street noise and get a view above the power lines. Does the sun at water or rise?

The sun sets over the water in Pattaya.

I like both condos. This one seems to be more centrally located and definitely has a better view. The So Cafe is also worth the rent increase.

I would think the bottom of the market for buying a place would be right now in thailand. Why not just buy a place?. Most of the new condo's I look at in 2013 were around 3 million baht in pattaya, but double the size of what you want to rent. I'm still happy I when back to las vegas and got my condo for $82,000. That breaks down to $415.00 a month mortgage with taxes and home owners insurance included. It includes 3 bedrooms,2 1/2 bathrooms, and a one car garage. It's a 1,224 square foot. It was also build back in 1999.

I liked the other place better . It was on the 24th floor , and had the small patio with the table and 2 chairs . It also had the pool and workout room . I definitely like the SOCAFE right outside your new place though .

I watch many videos on Vietnam & Thailand. I was set on Vietnam, DaNang, but visa is limited to 1 month. Thailand 5 yrs. Retirement ox visa. I like to know my options. An apartment to me is a place to hang my hat. Clean, well lit w kitchen. Like to cook!!! U seem to see a dwelling the same way. I'd rather pay less & foresake the amenities, (gym, pool, etc.), for more food, clothes, savings $. Don't like to live on full income. I can live on less than 50% of my income in Thailand. Nuthin' like a nice cushion for the unexpected. U made a very conservative advancement in housing. I get it. That's the way to go. Pick your spots & jump on an opportunity. As we get older comfort becomes premier. I'm 66. Not so sensitive yet, but at 80 I'll hopefully have the means to live a pampered life. Good video. Ya hooked me. Like, subscribe.

    Like the new place.
As of today you're lucky you're in Thailand. Things in the states are not good.
If you live in a U.S. city, most likely it's closed down. Only shop for groceries and go to Pharmacies. Unemployment at 10% with 30% projected. Financial markets are very uncertain. I have no idea how you get your $$ but I'd keep a close eye to it.
