Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I was wondering how to work with the pockets because I knew I wanted to incorporate them in my blanket, and you showed me how!!
Yay! Pockets are the best part!! Have fun with your denim quilt! Sure great to have you following along. Thanks for watching. Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
Great tutorial! So glad I found this; I have a bunch of my father’s old jeans and want to make a jean quilt for him. Excellent advice to stagger the blocks to avoid heavy seams and wait to cut the pockets. All great advice! My favorite takeaway? The border! My parents had a timeshare in Hawaii for years which he LOVED going to! Will definitely border (and add blocks) with a batik like you did! Brilliant! THANK YOU!! Always love your videos! 🥰
That's Wonderful, K! You have some great plans for more quilts and and they'll look awesome! Jean quilts are so perfect for memory quilts. They are durable yet after all the washing they are usually nice and soft. The batik fabric used in this quilt is from our time in the Bahamas and it really is fun to look at and reminisce. There are more jeans building up in my sewing room that will need to be quilted soon, so another will follow. Oh, and all those t-shirts, too! There's always a quilt to be made! LOL 😂😂😂 Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
