Pen turning | a segmented helix pen (the hard way)

I turned a segmented helix pen the hard way!!! I used offcuts from a dizzy bowl I made a couple of years ago. I selected the padouk-walnut-cherry parts for this 7mm slimline pen. I also cut some purpleheart-oak-pear parts for a later pen. The "hard way" is that the pieces are cross grain and not from a laminated pen blank. The padouk did "bleed" over the cherry creating an interesting fade.
J'ai tourné un stylo segmenté avec un effet de spirale hélicoïdale!!! J'ai utilisé les chutes d'un bol vortex que j'avais fait il y a une paire d'années. Pour ce stylo j'ai sélectionné les parties avec du padouk-noyer-merisier. J'ai aussi coupé des parties avec de l'amarante-chêne-poirier pour plus tard. La difficulté était que j'ai utilisé du bois de bout et que les morceaux ne provenaient pas d'un même carrelet. Le padouk a "bavé" sur le merisier créant des nuances intéressantes.
