It is a video introducing basic pen work process.
Blank used zebra wood.
Pen kit was created by applying "Stream line Ballpoint Pen".

The pen looks beautiful but can I share a tip? Zebra wood tends to burn easily with the barrel trimmer, leaving the dark ring on the ends. I avoid this by using my disk sander with fresh 60 grit and a very light touch. This also helps with woods that chip out easily, such as burls, where a barrel trimmer is too aggressive. Thank you for sharing the video. I really enjoy your craftsmanship.
The blade of the barrel trimmer must be kept sharp.
Then it won't ride.
I often replace the barrel trimmer blade with a new one to keep it in good condition.
And there is no right answer to the task.
I hope you keep your own good way.
Zebrano is one of my favourite timber for making pens ;-) Zebrano will darken a little with age and will bring out the warmth of the wood. Great pen ;-) Lance.
Zebrawood isn't my favorite wood.
However, I agree with your opinion.
I like the warm and natural feeling.

It is a finish mixed with shellac, wax and beeswax

스트림라인 스타일을 수집 하신다니 반갑습니다.
1)만들기 전의 블랭크 상태에서는 최종 완성후의 무늬나 색감을 짐작하기 어렵습니다.
선호하시는 문의를 선정(선택) 하셔도 작업과정에서 깎여 나가는 부분에 의해 결과는 달라지기 때문에,
직접 방문하셔서 나무를 고르는 것....은 의미가 없습니다.
아울러, 사진이나 영상으로 보는 것과 실물은 다를 수 있으며,
바로 완성후의 색감과 시간이 지난 후의 색감또한 많이 달라질수도 있습니다.
2)많이 만들어 놓고 그중에 하나를 판매하는 것과, 아무리 쉽고 간단한 작업이라도 의뢰인 그분 한분만을 위해 특별히 만드는 것은 저렴하게 만들수가 없습니다. 이 부분은 상세한 말씀 드리지 않아도 이해하실 듯 싶습니다.
3)저는 금속공예를 하는것이 주업이며 주로 은을 다룹니다. 우든펜 제작이 주업은 아닙니다.
영상에서 처럼 나무로만 만드는 펜은 거의 만들지 않습니다.
특별한 경우(대량생상 등)가 아니라면, 소량 혹은 낱개 작업은 하지 않고 있으니 양해 바랍니다.
