Woodturning | an off-centered maple bowl

Today I turn an off-centered bowl from a blank of maple that's been sitting for ages in my workshop. As it isn't the best looking piece of maple, staining and texturing are on the table. The off-centered rim reminds me of a moon crescent, so a dark moon it is.
Je tourne un bol désaxé à partir d'un morceau d'érable qui traîne dans mon atelier depuis très longtemps. Comme c'est loin d'être le plus beau des blocs d'érable, le choix de le teinter et de le texturer s'impose de lui-même. Le pourtour en forme de croissant me fait penser à la lune à un quart de lune, une lune bien sombre.
