Woodturning and shaping a cubist vessel

I turned a spalted beech and sipo vessel that recalls the triangular shape of human characters in Cubist paintings, an exclamation mark that pinpoints the irony of our kind : headless monsters thriving on hope and ruin. I kept the irregularities of the piece to give it a more organic than a geometric feel. The hole is 120mm deep and 35mm wide.
Voici un vase en hêtre échauffé et sipo qui rappelle la silhouette triangulaire des personnages dans les peintures cubistes, comme un point d'exclamation qui vient souligner l'ironie de l'être humain : monstre sans tête qui se nourrit d'espoir et de ruine. J'ai gardé des contours irréguliers pour donner à la forme quelque chose de plus organique que géométrique. Le trou fait 12cm par 3,5cm.
