This cover is so damn good! I always come back to it when I want to hear this solo played.

Tho Dime would end on the 17th of the A, which is just the same as 14th on D of course. Probs just ergonomically easier being on his guitar from its shape
@tmblacktrack yes. It is tuned down 1/4 step. Every tuning dime used was 1/4 step down

wow 17-19 seconds is hardest part of the solo probably of any dime solo and you make it look easy ! :( such a hard stretch to play it like dime did good job man!

I meant that whatever tuning he played in, e, drop d, c#, etc., he always dropped the tuning 1/4 step down more to relieve some tension for the tremolo stuff he did so he didn't snap any strings, if im not mistaken. Maybe I'm wrong and he just liked a little deeper of a sound

I agree with you. I started playing when I was 13 and I'm turning 18 soon, but you should always practice with a metronome. I never did and I always was angry how I could never play some of these fast solos without messing up. But it eventually came to me after like 4 years. But I feel like if I practiced with a metronome from the get go, I'd be a lot better than I am now. And now that I practice with one, it helps out so much no matter how boring it is.

@seetherrr03 Thank you. I was also around 16 when I started to play the guitar. I've learnt all by myself, although I learned a little from friends and a few people around me. I use an ESP Horizon FR II with EMG-s although in this vid I still use Seymours. Pantera is also one of my favorite bands :)

@123danielr CFH requires a wide stretching, while Broken requires a strong wrist and fingers to do the double string bendings. Both of them are hard, if you know exactly how Dime played it. But with practice you can nail them.

Hi just a question about Your floyd rose again.you know the side of the bridge where it says floyd rose.underneath that the other side of the trem plate.does it say say made in germany.you should be able to see this when you pull the wham bar into the divebomb position
@Kandurananda - He's right in the respect that it's not technically accurate. But meh.. who gives a toss. I've seen Satriani live 3 times and he's never played any solo the same twice. Close enough = Good enough for me.

Sir, the way you play this solo is just absolutely perfect in every way, and I'm immediately taking my guitar to try to master it. Still, I am in great need to ask you if you can provide an accurate tab for it or make a slower version, especially for the part from 12s to 18s which I have trouble to fully understand.

@seetherrr03 awesome, dont get discouraged if u get a shitty guitar at first, they are pretty expensive for a piece of wood and some electrical parts, so if ur parents are buying it they better know the real value of a really good guitar.

my guitar 's high e string was very hard to bending and tight .. i can't bend the string even whole note bends ... if i do this ...the string will break off ..so .. i want to ask ..what should i do to make the string more loose ?? thank you
how d'you get those clear harmonics? i have this jackson demmelition king v and a vox valvetronix vt 100, but no matter what i do, on cowboys from hell solo i can't get anywhere near the right sound.

@guilherme8479 First of all use a metronome. Do not do anything without it. Practice as slow as you can, otherwise you will lose precious time. You may have to wait a few years, but you are still young so its ok. Just put your mind to it, you will get there. Never back up. Steady, you will get there.
