The fact that he not only knows their individual names, but how many times they were shot, where they were on the body and where each person was located in the actual building shows how much he cares, how much he did his very best to know each student and teacher and how this will no doubt affect him after the trial is over.

It's the jury who determines that and 11 people voted to give Cruz the death penalty, it was one juror who voted against it, so when that happens the death penalty is out and it's automatic life in prison.

Yes, once closing arguments are over the case is sent to the jury for deliberation, but it could take days if not longer for them to come back with a verdict
They did closings and covered the packets for instruction for jurors , once those packets are given they will be sent to deliberations ..IF they dont reach a sentencing tomorrow , they will be escorted to a hotel for rest than back into deliberation room until they come to a unanimous verdict for ALL 17 murdered charges and the 17 attempted murders as well

His representatives are forced to do what they do. They are not paid attorneys. These are court appointed attorneys. If they do not do their job properly they can lose their license and their career! The Prosecutor was excellent in delivering closing statement. He explained very detail, with clear but straight to the point but keep calm and good self control still deliver how cruel, bad and devastating sense of what defendant did . I hope the juries can proses all what he said and make a right decision for all the victm's family members who ask for justice in this trial.

This is what’s wrong with our legal system. He pled guilty to killing these poor defenseless people. Look at the millions of dollars spent to see if he gets life or death. It doesn’t matter about the victims and their families. But we can’t violate the POS’s rights! Why does everyone else who murders in cold blood only get one lawyer or at the most two lawyers? This POS gets over 6 lawyers when he pled guilty to killing these victims. We need to change our system! I feel horrible for the victims and their families. This POS knows right from wrong! Yes, once closing arguments are over the case is sent to the jury for deliberation, but it could take days if not longer for them to come back with a verdict

They did closings and covered the packets for instruction for jurors , once those packets are given they will be sent to deliberations ..IF they dont reach a sentencing tomorrow , they will be escorted to a hotel for rest than back into deliberation room until they come to a unanimous verdict for ALL 17 murdered charges and the 17 attempted murders as well
