  • A neat, automatic mug press for 11 and 15 oz. straight side mugs. Works right out of the box and is very simple to use.
    Note: This was provided to me by Vevor to test and demonstrate. However, I am not being paid to say anything "nice" and am telling it like it is.

      Hi, do you have a website or email? If you don’t mind, I’d like to send you a photo of a mug I made and see if you can tell me what I did wrong. Thanks.

    Thank you so much for this video. I actually bought one before I found your channel and literally it arrived today. I felt it had the best features, highly rated and at a great price too. I actually just tried it and managed to ruin my first mug - I had a bit of a struggle with my infusible ink paper and the letters I was using. The default setting on my Cricut may have been too much for the paper. Once I got the design on the mug nice and straight, I wrapped 2 pieces (now I know it was over kill) of parchment paper around it, heat taped it down, I put the mug in (snug fit! 15 oz.). I somehow messed up the settings and I am pretty sure it went TOO long. The letters stuck to the mug, lol! I used a Cricut scraper to get them off. There was a faint yellowing under the image where I used Circut infusible paper. Anyway, I will try again, it is a wonderful machine and I am glad to hear so many folks really like it!

      If your paper sticks to the mug (it happens once in a while), just place it in water for a few minutes. It will wipe right off and does not affect the image.

    Soak them in hot water right out of the faucet in a bowl after removing the print to stop the process . They will make a light sizzle but they wont shatter.

  • @scottmichielli5670

    Hey Roger. Thanks for the video. I just got the Vevor PD 150. Tried making my first mug. I had to heat twice because on the first attempt, the mug was moved all the way to the left but the door didn't seem to close all of the way. As a result, it didn't sublimate on the rigth side near the handle. So, I repositioned the mug on the second attempt to make sure that this area of the mug was heated and it worked. Do you have any idea why this may have happened.? You should know that I used butcher paper to prevent outgasing on the mug press. Might this have caused the issue? I notice that you don't use butcher paper.

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  10 месяцев назад

      I always use a heavy weight premium sublimation paper, so no bleed through, hence no butcher paper needed. As to your problem, have never run into that.

    • @scottmichielli5670

      Depends on how you define "stink". It smells like heated plastic, much like a heat press does.

      That would be your print settings, not the press. Lighten the photo in your editing software before printing.

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  2 года назад +1

      @@gogal8 How do they look when printed on photo paper? The brightness and color you see on the monitor may not transfer as you see them to paper. Reasons can be monitor calibration, color profile set on the printer, type of substrate (paper), and even the ink used.
      For inexpensive test base, try using these inexpensive refrigerator magnets from Amazon as a test of color brightness, saturation, etc.: amzn.to/3yK9yqu
      The coating will be very similar to what is applied on mugs.

    Does this require an application, like Cricut's?

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  2 года назад

      You do need to apply a graphic. And, the mug needs to be a sublimation blank. A regular mug will not work. I just did a recent video using this press to make 72 mugs.ruclips.net/video/nsEXgd1dxZI/видео.html&ab_channel=Roger%27sShop

    • @Conforming2
      @Conforming2 2 года назад +1

      @@rogersshop the application I mean is...software. Cricut has software that is necessaryin order to run their product. So I really mean...does this machine need the company's app to run this machine? Or can this machine work without any software?

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  2 года назад +1

      @@Conforming2 No. I use a combination of Inkscape, Photoshop, Corel, and Photoscape to make my graphics. The machine is stand-alone and does not require any type of software or computer connection. While not a commercial heat press, I have been using it as such. Recently did 72 mugs in a row.

    I don't know why all my mugs are turning brown and all I do is place it in and wait for it to open. I've wasted 6 mugs already thinking it was the print I was using. I've looked up reasons and some. Say it's cooking it too long. But it's automatic so my confused. Any suggestions:(

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  Год назад

      I've done well over 100 mugs on this and no problems other than putting a graphic on upside down (ONCE). Maybe check the time/temp setting and turn it down some. Turning brown is an indicator of either too hot or a poorly made blank.
