There are no words in any language capable of fully describing just how MASSIVE this band was from the mid-late 80s. They were more popular than oxygen
Those pants - he bought in a yard sale from one of the members of earth wind and fire. He talked about it when the video came when they played music on mtv. Yes I'm showing my age 😊
Quick story about my experience with Bon Jovi. When they came to my town on this tour, Slippery when Wet, they had a phone interview scheduled that afternoon with the local radio station. Well, unbeknownst to me, my phone number happened to be one number off from the radio station. I'm at home, my phone rings, i answer and the voice on the line says, hey its Ritchie Sambora. I started laughing thinking one of my friends was playing a trick. He says, is this blah blah radio station? We have an interview before the show tonight. I didnt know what to say. He said hello? Hello? And i came to my senses. I told him it wasnt the radio station, and he apologized. Asked if i was coming to the show and I told him I had to work. He said maybe next time and we hung up. I've never forgotten that. I was 19 and a huge fan.
@@MrsColumbo823 I think I've seen one person react to it but nobody else will I've been trying to get someone to I hope that he does I don't have the money to pay for it to be a request
@@maruskaehrensdorfer it's definitely in the top five shows a lot of his vocal range and it's a love song to his wife a lot of people don't catch the lyrics to it they think he's cheating on his wife but he's not. I wish I had the money to put in a request for it but I don't
You really need to react to Bon Jovi 1989 MTV Music Awards performance. This was the proving point that unplugged could be big. This performance was amazing, you get to see how great of a voice the lead guitar player has and it pretty much was confirmation that MTV Unplugged Series could be a hit
I will always love Jon Bon Jovi, not just because of his band and how talented he is. He is a good man that has helped so many unfortunate people. Habitat for humanity, opened up his own restaurant for the homeless and actually does the dishes in the back! He also opened up a restaurant on a college campus to help young people who can't afford to buy food while going to college. He is also a good father who talks about his kids lovingly. You can go on and on about the good this man has done. We need more people like this! Bed of Roses and Lay Your Hands On Me are also great songs.
This is one of my favorites from them. Love the video too. I believe this was shot at the height of their "prettiness"...so young and gorgeous. Sigh - the good old days.
$5 say he spent the rest of the day walking around going "nananana BAD NAME!" That is the Bon Jovi effect. It doesn't matter which song you hear, you spend the rest of the day with it stuck in your head.
"You Give Love A Bad Name" was my ringtone on my cell phone for many years. Every time my phone would ring, I got shot through the heart! 🤣 I made one request of my son when I die and that is to play Bon Jovi's "Thank You For Loving Me" because, to me, that is what means the most about living. 🤟❤
Great song, I remember this being played up and down all the Playlist and charts. Still great. Just so many bangers in Bon Jovis repertoire. And Jon is just a great human being, doing some great charity work without searching the spotlight.
This is just another Bon Jovi "TURN IT UP" hit song! I used to see these guys during their "Club Days" around Philly and South Jersey, just before they had their big break. Then went to see them in full concert mode. They still just as amazing in concert as they were playing in the clubs and bars. And a great group of guys too! Having a blast doing what they really love.
I saw them when they were still an opening band. Came home told my buddies "Damn, wait til ya all here this new band" never thought 28 yrs later someone would be reacting to them and still floored they are still putting out new music. 🤙🤘🏼
Bad Medicine- Bon Jovi. BP You Give Love … was their first USA music chart #1 and launched them into the stratosphere! Bad Medicine was another huge #1 hit by them. Love to see you react to it!
As a massive Bon Jovi fan I'm glad to see you starting to do some reactions. Having seen them live 48 times may I suggest you watch some live footage. Hyde Park, London 2003 was a great show.. the song Older in particular a fan favourite.. also Blood on Blood and Dry County.... Thank you and Enjoy the Bon Jovi Rabbit hole .. As a side note the band takes it's name from the front man... Real name Jon Francis Bon Giovi jnr Love this channel 💕❤️💕
My grandma got me tickets to see Bon Jovi for his New Jersey tour (Skid Row opened for them). They were so AMAZINGLY AWESOME ❤ More Bon Jovi- Lay Your Hands On Me, Wild is the Wind, Bad Medicine, Living in Sin, I’ll be there for you, Born to be my Baby, Keep the Faith, Never say goodbye, etc. so many songs to choose from ❤
I was a teenager in the 80's. When Itry to think who were literally the biggest names from the decade, the Holy Trinity would be Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Bon Jovi. There are tons of great acts with massive followings and then there were the Holy Trinity. And they were massive all away across the decade.
Love the new studio. They are in THE HOF and deservedly so! This epic song was a backdrop to our lives when we were dating in our early 20s pointing at the guys. I sang right a long with it. I am 60 now in NC but from NYC and they were some Rocking Jersey Boys. This was one of the concerts. You guys did it to us too.
Thx for the time travel BP..... You'd of loved that era..... Ah to be 20, no responsibilities and your whole life ahead of you again.... All good...! It was a time of great insouciance and levity. Thx BP
That concert was so good I ran out and bought a ticket to another city they were performing just a few weeks later! But that’s when you could afford to go to a concert multiple times! 😂
Whaaaaat!!!! WHAT!!! Jovi!!!! F***ING JOVI!!! This man a literal legend who aged like a petrified grape! Holy hell, who saw that coming! Man looks like Jamie Lee Curtis and The lesbian Aunt who never got married at the family reunion
Jon owns some restaurants in New Jersey called JBJ Soul Kitchen where people can pay whatever they can afford. Here in Philadelphia he has an apartment building that's very low rent and includes services to help with things like getting a job.
Bon Jovi is my favorite band. They have great love songs and lots of upbeat songs for fun try Bad Medicine, and One Wild Night. Love songs Living In Sin, I'll Be There For You, and You Want To Make A Memory. I could keep going they are a great band. Check out the soundtrack for Young Guns 2. It's some of Jon Bon Jovi solo stuff. He won a golden globe for it.
I believe this the song they talked about in the documentary where they came up with it because Sambora started dating a girl who turned out to be a working girl and he started singing what are now the lyrics to the song
A purple studio. Great. The colour from the South Korean Group BTS and also the fandom called ARMY and all 7 members solo projects RM (Namjoon), Suga (AgusD), JHope, Jin (WWH), Jungkook (JK), V and Jimin. They are wonderful. Bon Jovi is are great. Their concerts incredibly good. Still loving them.

That was fun! Thanks for brightening up my day there! Oh and yes...this was absolutely filmed at a real live concert. Now where is the one where he flys across the audience?
Their videos are great but them live is what is needed to truly appreciate the talent and atmosphere. I would suggest "Dry County" at Wembley in 1995. Can't wait for more. Thanks!
one thing you'll notice about most of the 80's and 90's rockers... they're always smiling and having a good time. there are songs that are sad or cover serious subjects here and there, but this was an era when it was all about sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll. this was before feminism told us woman aren't supposed to be sexualized, before woke culture, before cancel culture, before the left (surprisingly, since the left was always about free speech) started telling us to be ashamed of ourselves. it was just fun, and it was fun for all. Freddie and Halford were gay/ bi... we didn't care. Lita and Joan were chicks... we didn't care. Living Color and Sevendust threw black dudes into hard rock/ metal... no problem, welcome aboard! This was just about having a good time, partying with your friends, and letting the problems of the world melt away. Now, that's what people sing about, lol, the problems of their day. There's no escape, lol. The fun has been drained out of most music today and music desperately needs it back!
As someone who was born in the 60s and came of age in the 80s, PLEASE do not call this "classic rock"!!! Classic rock is a very specific genre of rock from the 60s & early 70s, not merely rock music that is a certain number of years old! Classic rock is The Doors...Janis Joplin...Jimi Hendrix...Eric Burden & The Animals...Carlos Santana...Steppenwolf. Bon Jovi is 80s hard rock/metal. "Lay your hands on me" - Bon Jovi is another must listen
There are no words in any language capable of fully describing just how MASSIVE this band was from the mid-late 80s. They were more popular than oxygen
Lol they were popular with girls only. Guys listened to Bon Jovi to get in girls pants only.
They did an album called "This Left feels Right" which is an acoustic version of a lot of their classics. It's awesome!
Those pants - he bought in a yard sale from one of the members of earth wind and fire.
He talked about it when the video came when they played music on mtv. Yes I'm showing my age 😊
I did see his and Ritchies jackets from the following lp at the rock hall
The good old days of MTV when the "M" stood for "Music".

That is a riot!!
Bed of roses always gets left off people's list and was one of their biggest hits
One of my favorites❤
It's actually my fav song of theirs!
It’s one of my most faves of theirs. I don’t think anyone’s reacted to it anywhere and that’s weird.

My daughter was around 5 and I loved the energy of this song. When she sang "You give love a bandaid " I never heard it the original way again!

The first song I ever heard from Bon Jovi was Runaway In 1984 then he blew up with Livin on a Prayer
Both awesome. I have his songs on my daily playlist

The band name, Bon Jovi, is derived from Jon's actual last name, Bongiovi.

Love the vibe and love the studio ❤. Love all his songs but this one and others are on my everyday playlist ❤
I had to look after Bon Jovi when they came to Liverpool and show them Beatles places the first time they played here in the 80s.
You got a leg lamp ❤ thank you for representing Cleveland and a Christmas story
I'm curious if he did a movie review of the movie? It's one of my favorite Christmas movies.

Brings back memories of my 1st concert my dad took me to. My dad was just there for the ladies lol. Amazing times

I can imagine those Bon Jovi dudes also gave love a very bad name back in their prime time. With all of the 'backstage' passes given for 'free'

Bon Jovi is an anglicization of Bongiovi, a Sicilian name.
