- Hyperspace Mountain is back for a limited time at Disneyland, opening April 29th, 2022! This is a Star Wars Roller Coaster ride overlay on top of Space Mountain. This is a full ride POV from the front row of this classic Disney attraction!
This is my favorite version of Disney's Space Mountain. If I had it my way, they would keep this overlay on the ride permanently. IT IS THAT GOOD!

I haven't been on space mountain in many years but I remember it was awesome I think this would be fun for sure especially for star wars fans

Overall I like this. Good use of Disney's IP catalogue. I'm very nostalgic about the original Space Mountain. Kinda cool how "easily" reskinnable this ride is, with the use of projectors. The original I think gave riders more flexibility to interpret the rides theme a bit more. Like with Hyper Space Mountain you're in a Star Wars battle, but with Space Mountain you could interpret it as an exploration mission or anything. There's something to be said for letting the audience fill in the blank and make something their own. All that said, the execution of this re-theme looks great imho.

Hyperspace Mountain was awesome! I don’t think I’ve ever been on a ride where everyone clapped at the beginning and again at the end.

Went on the Hyperspace layover for the first time last week and honestly.... it took away alot of what I love about normal space mountain.

So as much as I love the music from Star Wars, I really missed the surfer punk music lol.
I love Star Wars but it definitely should stay in galaxy’s edge no need for hyper space! It was good but now not the same as it was if anything bring back ghost galaxy!!! #wewantghostgalaxy

i rode this ride in hong kong last summer and it gave me trauma 😭😭

I went on this ride in Hong Kong when I was 6, and I enjoyed it very much. I wasn’t a huge fan of Star Wars, but the visuals were so nice along with the coaster itself. I also got to make my own lightsaber after 😂

When did "Space Mountain" get a "Star Wars" Upgrade..??
It’s like an annual thing, hyperspace mountain doesn’t replace normal space mountain.
For about a month every year around May 4th they change space mountain to hyperspace mountain. It’s a limited time event, so enjoyers of space mountain will be able to enjoy normal space mountain 11 months a year

Regular. I like the music a lot more on the original. This takes away from it. Makes it feel a lot slower.
