I first heard the original version of this song on the radio in Fallout: New Vegas. What I find funny is Michael Dorn does background vocals in this and alsk did voice acting in New Vegas.
That's just amazing! Great, talented man. Sure, he had his carrer before Star Trek and you can see that impact in this work. But still ... every second I hear this music and his voice I just see Data on a stage performing this and still (or because of that) I LOVE it!
@@LGranthamsHeir I don't think Jeri Ryan's singing is that great but Brent Spiner, Robert Picardo, and Rene Auberjonois were good singers because they performed on Broadway. The late Auberjonois was the voice of the singing chef in Disney's The Little Mermaid.

Aside from Spiner and Stewart, the other backup vocals are Frakes, Dorn, and Burton.
I wonder who's the bass? ;-)
Bass is probably Dorn.
On the album they are listed as The Sun Spots!
Thanks, I was wondering about that
HE SOUNDS LIKE A DISNEY PRINCE
Mia Mcawesome He WOULD be a marvelous Disney Prince xD
That Captain's Log in the middle 👏👏👏
You know a cast is tight knit offscreen when one member puts out an album and four other castmates end up doing vocals on it lol.
Well, the other cast members aren't as good as Brent with singing so they basically have to hum in the background lol.
On the Post atomic Horror podcast they joke about "riker and the away team" sounding like a boyband. I'm gonna send them this lol
I was loving this and then Patrick Stuart started to sing to and i lost it best song ever 11/10 bravo
Was obsessed with this album in high school, my mom got me into star trek and fell in love with data, then Brent, then this album :)
Most talented on Star Trek Next Generation.
the best singer in the whole star trek franchise cast, knocks leonard and shatners attempts of music out of the water
Erica Croft What about Nichols? She got her show business start singing backup for Duke Ellington.
@@ecroft1000 but you gotta admit, Bilbo baggins was hella lit💯👌😥
@@greencat1314 yes, yes it was.
sounds like something you would hear on galaxy news radio in fallout!
The Ink Spots rendition of the song was in the radio in New Vegas.
True. And both versions, Ink Spots and Spiner, are just beautiful!
Yeah, really. Michael Dorn lent his voice to a character in one of the games, actually. Rene "Odo" Auberjonois was in it as well.
Fallout 😁
Oddish43, Marcus and Mr house.
Wow! Following in the footsteps of Nimoy and Shatner releasing albums. :D

Superb Mr Data and Captain Picard!
Best background singers ever. Lol
agreed
Who knew the male cast could sing so awesomely
So true!
I'm crying. I went ahead right there and the tears fell.
And Patrick Stewart as Narrator :D
He's one of the backup singers too.
I'm not entirely sure that wasn't Spiner doing an impression of Stewart lol.
Awesome Brent Spiner. Way to go Data
And way to go to Patrick Stewart for his poem starting from 1:22

Awesome! I just found this. Wow... he hits those high notes too. 0_0 Yeah, I love the character Data and now found this.

Needs a trombone solo by Frakes
God in heaven. Its so beautiful. 😢👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Very good Data!!!!
Holy wow. my new theme song.
The Trek cast sings pretty well...
Lt Cmdr Data sings the Fallout classics!! Love it
Patrolling the delta quadrent almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter
I'm sorry I can't stop treking the star out!?!?! Apparently the electromagnetic field from a passing asteroid affected my subspace scanner.
Trekkies turned jazz fans
True! Super!
All I hear is commander Data.
There really should be a spinoff show called star trek's most talented. There are some damn good singer's in the various series
Featuring Spiner (Data), Robert Picardo (The Doctor), Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine), and James Darren (Vic Fontaine)

The book, Night of the living Trekkies, brought me here. Lol! Fantastic!!
Fallout: New Vegas and Star Trek... Two awesome worlds collide!
The five dislikes are Q.
Q, The Borg Queen, Lursa, B'Etor, and Gul Madred....
And now they are six...I would say it's Lore
Now 7, that's from the creators, writers, directors and cast of Picard lol.
they knew exactly what they were doing
1:22 - 1:52 Is Captain Picard trying to woo Dr Crusher here? Or Vash?? :)
I have just one way to say SEXY SEXY SEXY Song
Thanks binyot
Hail Binyot
binyot why yuo litsen to baby songs?
His voice is very similar to Mandy Potemkin.
Not a bad thing, just an observation.
I agree and I think he sounds a little like Paul Byrom from Celtic Thunder too.
I cringe and smile at this song, it's so sweet and precious and at the same time there is too much vebrato such makes me cringe a little 😂
IT's really hard to control if you have a ton of natural vebrato
