Thank you for introducing us to On the Water Innovations! We picked up our new trailer about a month ago. Not a lot of use yet, but we absolutely love it. My wife couldn't handle her kayak by herself on our last trailer. The kayak was just too heavy and big for her to lift without me (actually, too heavy and big for me without her as well). This meant when I was out playing on my bass boat, she couldn't go out by herself on the kayak. Certainly not cheap, but as far as we can tell so far, worth every dollar. We also had a fun road trip going to pick it up stopping in Tennessee to use it for the first time on the way back to the St. Louis area.
Thanks for your support Sandy!
Denny Romero makes the best trailers hands down. A true master at his profession and just a solid dude. Hit him up guys and he will make it to order, they are sick!!!!
💪😎
And this is exactly why I got an OTWI tourney double after seeing your last video. Mine is black with 90% same build. i dont have the bow ratchets or 2 rod tubes (only 1). Worth every penny
Glad you love your trailer man!
Denny builds the BEST kayak trailers! Nothing compares!
Thanks Man
I picked up my Tourney Lite from Denny in April. Denny and his brother Mike are great guys to work with. I absolutely love the trailer. He must have started adding the carpet to the bunks later. The kayak loads just fine without carpet on the bunks, but I did add 4 inch wide ultra high molecular weight polyethylene tape to the full length of the bunks. The tape has a super slippery surface so the kayak slides off and on easily and the tape protects the painted surface. The only issue may be that the painted surface of the bunk has a somewhat textured surface so it is difficult to say how long the tape will remain stuck but for now it is working very well.
Great idea man! Yea the carpet came in later after some testing to find a decent one!
Picking mine up today, went with the tourney light with uprights and mesh top to hold cooler/crates/ or a second kayak.
See you soon bro
Now that is a heck of a kayak trailer
Damn, that's a nice trailer
That trailer is sick! It really is all the little things that make it amazing!
Thank you
Interesting trailer. Thumbs up.
Nice that he continues to improve on an awesome design he’s created.
We are trying man! We try to listen to the community and make getting on the water easier
i have a tourney light and i luv it also it a head turner and i have gotten a lot of questions about it when people see it
DUDE, that is a freekin' nice trailer. Great ideas that I never thought of while I'm modifying the one I have now. I especially like the strap holders and back up lights.
Only thing I see missing is a bulldawg sticker. We make decals at the house if ya need one. LOL
SOOOOOOOOO, where's the old trailer?? Maybe up for a contest give-away or for sale?? HAHAHA
Hope to see you back out on the water again soon. Can't wait for these summer dog days to be over in North Georgia
man that is an amazing kayak trailer I need one like that!
Give us a call man we can set you up!
Great video. Wish you were still doing the Podcast.
Very nice 👍
Saw your truck and trailer trailer in Irmo SC before you upgraded to this new one a while back! Quite the rig!
Great trailer! Had the same situation with the rod tubes, welded some square tubing up under them in the middle of the tubes and solved the sagging problem.
Denny makes fantastic trailers! I love the Tourney Light he put together for me. I would have gone with the Tourney Double but my garage is to narrow to fit, so he added the roll cage which will still allow me to carry two kayaks. My ONLY regret is he must not have had the Power Pole holder option available when he did mine last winter. I’m currently trying to figure out how to do something similar with mine.
Hey Doug yea the power pole idea came up this year as a new add on, shoot us a Facebook message and ill ask Denny if he has some ideas
@@onthewaterinnovations1303 I spoke with Denny a few months ago about the Power Pole holder. Unless he came up with something like a bolt on upgrade, I’m not sure if anything else can be done. Carrying the pole is definitely the only hassle with the trailer...it’s even more of a hassle when carrying 2 kayaks.
@@dougedwards5633 Ill talk to him and see what he says, maybe it will spool up a new innovation
@@onthewaterinnovations1303 sounds good. That would be a great add on!
Hey man! You just passed me on the interstate headed south near Unadilla. Be careful and go gettem!
Love it man, the combo with your truck looks amazing!!!
Some seriously slick details! It makes all the difference! Wish I had more lakes that allowed trailers so I could use one of these. Makes it so much easier!
Such a sweet setup. I need to make a roof rack version of your rod storage.
Man, that's slick!
Just talk to them the other day and I’ll be having one made too . Can’t wait to pick it up when they are done to start hitting the trails. I hope to see you out there buddy.
We appreciate the business man.
That sure give me some ideas
Wish we had someone who makes them on the West Coast! Shipping costs are pricey. Dream trailer 🔥
Find us a dealer out there and we will gladly make 10 to ship out 😁
@@onthewaterinnovations1303 great product and really impressive. you have any dealers in the DFW area that you work with (mariner sails)?
@@miken7275 not at the moment.
Love the content gene! I have a pvc rod holder too and want to paint/wrap it. Do you have any recommendations for a wrap brand/company?
Amazing trailer. If I was a pro fisherman fishing freshwater only and price was not a consideration, then I would love to have something like this. But for me, my Malone Microsport with bunks is perfect. I am a weekend fisherman, all local coastal saltwater fishing, so a galvanized trailer is the only practical option. I may have missed any discussion of cost in the video, but I suspect this trailer costs more than double what a Malone trailer costs.
Flukemaster id love to see a video of you explaining the ins and outs comparing tournament bass boats vs kayak’s. I’d like to get some insight from you and your opinions on the subject. I noticed you have been falling hard into the kayaks and I was wondering why. I was just looking at the cost and fishability of both and boat dealer’s have lost their minds!
I bought a malone microsport recently. I'm not feeling real smart at the moment.
Sorry to hear that. When your ready for an upgrade give us a call.
Go dawgs
Nice.! 👊🤩
You mentioned Mike Elsea. Is he from North Central Ind.?
Hey Gene, nice trailer. Just wondering, do you often only haul one kayak? If so, how is the weight distribution? Do you have to weigh down the other side to compensate?
It does just fine with one kayak.
the rod tubes; are they just 8 inch pvc that you've custome wrapped? what is the thickness of the walls? what are you using to cap them? i'd like to do something like this myself, as i have a mid size SUV and transportation for my rods isn't ideal inside the vehicle. especially when i also have to load camping gear in there as well.
I have a video where I show how to make a 6 inch one. The caps are a conduit carrier kit
Does Denny sell to the public?
Yes sir, check out our website www.onthewaterinnovations.com
Yes
Looks great. How are your power poles working
7 years and no problems with the power poles
Early gang!
The flukemaster has neons under the trailer boy just like fast and the furious..lol i know there led
He was kinda weirded out about it but I still added them lol
god i love those trailers. what a rough price for one?
They're not that lovable.
What diameter are the bunks?
Hey one of your kayaks fell off on Highway 35 and Section Alabama I am delivering it to the police department so you can pick it up there I hope you find this message and able to get your belongings back
Gene, Do you store your kayaks on the trailer long term, if you do is there any concern with hull damage overtime.
I have a rack in my barn that stores kayaks but I keep my main kayak on the trailer. The only thing I do is loosen the straps. The round bunks are actually good for that kayak because there is very little rocker in it but a river kayak with some rocker would need to be stored upside down on a rack.
How much for a trailer like that?
Check out www.onthewaterinnovations.com there's the prices for the base and all the options.
I heard that he doesn't galvanizes them.
Galvanized is just a coating on steel. They are fully powdercoated and the main frame is sealed.
I like what I seen of trailer but the camera person keep the camera on you 99.999999% of the time ...what the
Per OTWI website the Tourney Double *BASE PRICE* starts out at $3050.00 Remember that is base price and probably pre-Covid-19 pricing without ANY *BELLS AND ANY WHISTLES*. I'm sure due to all of the inflation and higher transportation costs it will be higher.
Love it I need one. Been lifting my Bonafide on top of my car lol
Its a world of difference than rooftop loading, give us a call when your ready man!
