Just an update on the Evap situation. My JB WELD repaired one did fail, so I used the first replacement that K&N sent me, hopefully this will be a pernament fix.
It’s funny any other platform and people bash on K&N, and simple muffler systems. I actually had a dyno record a 7hp gain consistently on three different pulls, if you keep them clean, with little oil they do put in work. As for the flow master haven’t tried. But that’s about the only style I’ve ever seen that has borla/magnaflow design giving it great power results for the $$. Video should be called best bang for the buck.
I will try to do a video on both the intake and the exhaust, they both sound good, but I don't have the best sound equipment, so I didn't, but since you requested, I will see what I can do. Thanks for watching.
I know, someone else made a request. I'm a little lazy, but also concerned how the sound will come through on my phone, I don't have fancy video equipment. It's better than I thought, but you won't confuse it with a nice sounding V-8. Thanks for watching.
Yeah see, I think that's where I failed...in a way. I mean the main purpose was accomplished which was to test in one setting and retest the same setting later. But it would have been interesting to test in a variety of modes and see what helped the best. The problem now is I am upgrading to a set of brand new Sasquatch pull-off and doing some minor work on the suspension and other needed things to accommodate the transition. Of course, I could see which mode works the best with the new set-up. Thanks for watching.
@@rockoq173 Don't get too excited, it's a frugal/cheap/thrifty build, trying to beat $1000 or much less if possible. But it will be quality and thought out, make no mistake. Any chance you know of a way to lift the rear a 1/2"? Obviously that's a short amount but it's my outstanding concern at the moment. I've mitigated most other issues.
Yes, I am sorry I meant to include I was running 93 on all runs, before and after upgrades, wanted to control the variables as much as possible. I did see that and it does produce some really good numbers and it even maintains the warranty from what I saw. I'm probably good for the moment but could consider that in future plans but need to stop spending money on my Money Pit!🤣🤣 Thanks for watching.
Did you experience any ticking sounds coming through the interior after the intake instal? I installed the same intake on my 2.3 bronco and I hear a ticking sound. Sounds like it’s coming from the firewall into the cabin. Wasn’t sure if it is normal or not.
I don't think so, there's a sound at start-up until the engine warms up, then goes away, but I don't think it started when I installed it, but maybe it did.
Manual transmission in the Badlands comes the 4.7 rear end, it is the only Bronco with a 4.7 that is not Sasquatch. Even the auto has a 4.46, but the manual is special😎😎. Thanks for watching.
I got the base 2.3 manual sasquatch (same color as yours) I got the same exhaust haven't done the intake but i did get the ford racing tune.. and Wow did that wake it up. I'm waiting to get my k&n then I wanna get it dyno tested.. I'll be posting the results on my channel.. also the bronco is sooo good in the snow
That is awesome, I hope yo udidn't waste any money on an aftermarket blow off valve like I see a lot of folks doing. Once you do the intake, if not already with your Ford Tune, you'll have air rushing into the intake and creating the aftermarket blow off valve sound. That kit looks like a legit kit, it was 330hp and 385trq right? I'll subscribe and check it out. Thanks for watching.
@@MyCarsandProjects no blow off valve here. I highly recommend the ford tune, it shuts off the auto stop start and adds rev matching for the manuals. My son says it sounds like a drift car. In sport mode the thing launches. I keep referring to the old bronco commercial, 4wd sports car. Lol
@@edkelley6916 WOW, gets rid of the auto stop start, that by itself is worth the money🤣🤣, that is literally one of the things I hate the most about the Bronco.
no sound or dyno, saving 2.1 seconds of a 0=60 time should require like 80 to 100 hp difference. Without a tune this result is frankly unbelievable. most dyno comparisons I have seen on K and N's show a 10 hp loss but they are the enclosed box type.
Mark, it wasn't 2.1 seconds, it was 1.1 seconds, 8.0 to 6.9. And that's with the cold intake AND the exhaust. I can't see how it would leave a loss of power as the amount of air being rammed into the system is noticeable more. I will attempt a video on the sound if I have video equipment that will register it. My attempt was less than perfectly scientific for sure, but i worked with what I had. Thanks for watching.

Thanks, maybe I need to rename the video.
Do a vid on the sound! Please! Thanks

A demo of the exhaust sound would’ve been nice

Baja mode can be put in 2wd. Would love to see if your 0-60 time in Baja 2wd mode.

@@MyCarsandProjects you make valid points. Look forward to seeing the build.

Can we assume you are running Premium? 91 or 93? Have your considered the Ford Performance Calibration for the 2.3?

7-speed manual gear ratio is actually 4.46....not 4.7 (like the sasquatch has). You do not appear to have the Sas package so you should be at 4.46.
Also FYI Sport Mode makes a huge difference in acceleration. You can unlock Sport mode using Forscan.
7 speed badlands had 4.7. Auto has 4.46 unless you get Sasquatch
