Ha, I did the same thing with that bolt that was too short and used the same longer bolt you did. I tried several times to make the original work and ended up just doing what you did. The sound this makes is worth the money alone. I wish I had seen your install video before I did mine. But, great video.
Thanks for this. I followed along and it went pretty smoothly. Except for a couple bolts I lost in the engine compartment. I did find replacements but I hope the loose ones don't cause any damage before they fall out.
I put one of these in my Mustang. Noticed a difference right away ! Just ordered 2024 Badlands last week. Doing my best to be patient. Starting to sock upon aftermarket products. Was this a project that seemed helpful for performance?

Thank you - yeah thought I was losing it when it came to that bolt but totally agree the CAIs are definitely worth it.

Great install video but couldn’t hear the intake sounds. Were your windows down? I guess microphones never do the sound justice
I never knew 5/16 and 8mm were the same. Always knew 5/16 took have of the engine compartment apart.
Nice vid….Have you noticed much difference in mpg since the install?
Is it worth the hassle if installing in terms of performance gains? I’ve read and Hearst so much mixed reviews
Do you have to disconnect the battery? Any issues if you dont?
