Can’t wait to do a road trip up with my 2 door FE. I have the CAI, exhaust next month. Then shortly after the Mishimoto intercooler, hot and cold pipes. Can’t wait to see what kind of gains she has!
Would love to see how the k&n intake does on a maverick 2.0 EB. They claim 10ftlbs and 7 hp without tuning, but obviously you never just take the manufacturer at their word.
And I think it's an interesting idea. Except that, and no negativity here. But doing a full tune takes two and a half to 3 hours hours. So, I think it would be fairly expensive. To do one tune with the stock box and then do the next one with an aftermarket air box
Agreed. Based upon the title that’s precisely what I thought was going to happen. Still a great video and I will be scheduling an appointment for my Bronco later this year! Love the content and I look forward to more content with the K&N intake plus new exhaust.
I have a possibly dumb question. Does anyone make a upgraded turbo for the Bronco? Seems like someone would make an upgraded turbo to install along with the K & N and the Dyno tuning. Will be picking up my new Bronco in a couple of weeks. and wondered if a different turbo was actually available.
Yes, there are upgraded impeller's end internals. Butt, butt stock turbos will more than overcome the stock fuel system. And because it is direct-injected. It's not a simple swap to put in a fuel injector. So it's not really a great idea to upgrade the turbos. Except to put in the aftermarket impellers
@@internationaldynoauthority693 thank you sir. I figured I would ask the experts. And from what I have seen so far, you guys are the Wizards of the Dyno! I appreciate the help.
Yes we are tuning using custom in house software. Laptop capable, HP scanner(Similar to HP, SCT, Holley) IDA exclusive....however. Standard procedure. 1-Afr first, tuning the fuel curve, 2-boost curve 3- Ignition Timing. We make sure each of the safeties remain "in-spec" under: load, heat, cool, cruising, and Wot.
We have actually tested both of them. In this case we with the K and N on simply because it had stock. Both of them make very similar power.(15-18) They're both within 1 horsepower they're both within 1 ft lb
Is it safe to assume you could tune Ford Rangers with the same drive trains? Also, are you able to remote tune? I'm stationed in Germany and looking at buying a Ranger this year so I'm in the early stages of research on which engine is better suited to my needs...IE mostly autobahn and the occasional hunting trip on fire roads.
Very intrigued by this video. Where is the tune stored WRT the GOAT modes? For instance does it lie in the normal drive mode or Sport mode? Will the GOAT modes still work with this tune? Thanks in advance.
Hi Robert the tune is done custom for each of the modes (that is, its effect is different in each mode, but is ON on ALL modes) Yes- the GOAT functionality, is still fully intact.
@internationaldynoauthority693 is there a hand held tuner or online tune you can sent for 2022 wild trak if I do cold air intake? Or if I just do k&n intake I don't need a tune?
Hold on! You're saying I can get more power and torque from the motor AND get better gas mileage?!! Sounds like it eventually pays for itself. I assume the tuning is tire-specific for this, right? I might decide to put slightly bigger tires on my Bronco, should I hold off on tuning? Lastly, does the tuning effect the warranty of the truck?
Increased torque, in the lower RPM range, means that the fuel injector opens for less amount of time. And it means that the fuel injector is required to open more efficiently. The tuning of the fuel curve, to maximize the amount of energy realized, from the air fuel mixture, is basic tuning. This is the combination, that gives you increased fuel mileage
