  • In this video I'll show you a killer little bait for crappie fishing. This bait is very effective when crappie are finicky, much like they are in the early fall. Hope you enjoy and thanks for watching!

    Excellent video . I would like to know what you have your Active target transducer mounted on ? Thanks for the video and your help .

      It’s mounted to the DD26 Live Foot turret. I like it a lot especially when I’m fishing for schools of fish on isolated targets. Thanks for watching!

      I have a couple different models but the revros is my favorite. Very good reels for the money. MidwayUSA.com had them on sale last week for less than 40$ not sure if there still on sale but great reels👍🏻

    Thank you for the tips! Gotta show my honey get her excited bout going again. The wind on this lake is a bit rough on my Jon boat but not a whole lot of pleasure boats.

    Great video. When it’s really slow I would use trout magnet with one tail cut off (similar to what you recommended in the other video). I also sometimes throw Gulp Alive minnow (the smallest version), that works when even trout magnet doesn’t; but you get harassed by bluegill bites too

    I use 1" baits for crappie during the dog days of summer and when it's really cold outside. They are real lethargic these times of year will hit a tiny bait more often than something larger.

    Brandon what your thoughts on fishing on east wind

    • @BrandonLesterFishing
      @BrandonLesterFishing  8 месяцев назад +1

      To be completely honest with you I couldn’t tell you which way the wind is even blowing 90% of the time. I just never have paid much attention to it. My theory is they are always biting somewhere. Thanks for watching!

    Awesome video, and awesome cause I still have some trout magnets from a trip to Tennessee years ago. I’ve got a question about Active Target. The bottom is always slanted like 30 to 40 degrees on my screen and no the bottom is really flat. I’m running HDS Carbon 12s. Any advice?Thanks!

      Click the menu button in the upper right hand corner and find stableview in the drop down menu. If it’s on turn it off. If it’s off turn it on. Should fix the problem. Thanks for watching!

      If that doesn’t work, make sure your transducer is mounted correctly.

      Good to hear the smallmouth were biting. The crappie should turn on over there real soon. Thanks for watching!

  • @generussell8876

    I watch all your crappie shows, why are you using a leader with the braid i have gone to braid but tie straight to the jig

    • @BrandonLesterFishing
      @BrandonLesterFishing  8 месяцев назад +1

      I’m very hesitant about using straight braid on anything unless I have to (for example fishing heavy grass for bass). I feel like fish can feel braid more with their lateral line plus there is the obvious visibility aspect of braid as well. I feel like I get a lot more bites by adding a leader. Thanks for watching!
