RB's are super finicky with oiling. Best option if the bearings are gone is get an RB25Neo and swap it in and get a proper ECU and have someone reputable tune it. The NEO has RB26 style pistons and rods, an N1 oil pump front factory and since its a series 2 has the longer snout crank which is less prone to oiling problems and solid valve buckets. Sounds like you could've damaged the oil pump gears and starve the engine of oil or just a bad tune. Did you verify timing with a timing light? Were you banging it off the limiter when it started knocking?
And yes sir u never take the boost controller off and smash it. U dropped a cylinder. Gonna have to come apart new pistons and rods and a bore over. U pull the boost controller off a 2j and smash it to full boost... u gonna do the same thing
