Changed exhaust set up mutliple times.. for me what sounds the best now is the JDL UEL Turbo kit paired with a Tomei OP ,JDL dual resonated FP and a GREDDY Super Street Titan exhaust. Not cheap though. Keep up the awesome content!!!
Lest go Sensei! I personally have a FT86speedfactory UEL header, stock over pipe, stock front pipe, and the Perin catback. This set up gives me that perfect Subaru tumble that everyone loves. Also Perfect in sound combination for me and my neighbors. 🤣😁
Kevin Vo yes my boy! I always recommend everyone to get this header, as soon as possible. Not just for the rumble but for the performance gains. Definitely the best investments of my build and I’m driving a automatic 🤣 please don’t judge the car is also are spare vehicle, so my build has to be as practical as possible. Especially if the wife has to drive it 😛
@@KevinVo hey man thank you! maybe something you can just explain how to, but not install it. I forget that this is a track car. im excited for your build and thank you for replying! have a good one!
Is it possible to do a full exhaust change without tuning & voiding warranty? Like doing a FULL titanium Blox setup (with their catback, EL headers, and front pipe)? At which point or how is warranty voided when it comes to exhausts?
I'm not going to say that your warranty will be voided, but any exhaust modification other than a catback will likely cause them to deny your claim as it directly affects the performance of the engine. You're also going to want a tune if you do a full exhaust, otherwise, you're not really going to get the benefits of upgrading the whole system.
It’s highly recommended to get a tune along with header upgrades, Altho you don’t necessarily need a custom ecutek tune, something like the Open Flash Tablet stage 2 or 2+ would work
The ecu can adjust fueling just fine. You may get a CEL if catless which I dont recommend. But dont expect much power that way. The gains from a header without tuning are almost nothing. All the power comes from the tune.
I have equal length uncatted headers and the Q300 rn with a stock overpipe, already seeing a lot of gains over the stock exhaust setup so I don’t think it’s completely necessary
will you guys be getting the Tomei ti racing twin titanium catback for the brz? I like the current tomeis you guys have at the store, but with my ocd-ness i like to keep the dual exhaust look lol
I don't have any info on this at this time, but I'll look into it! I wasn't a huge fan of single exits in the past, but they've grown on me! Plus I save some weight haha
@@GerardLESC thank you. I would’ve thought we’d have to go catless with the headers and front pipe in order to do the stage 2 tune. So far, I only have the greddy rs cat back
I’ve had UEL headers sitting in my garage for a while now because everywhere I look everyone says I need a tune…. How true is this? I really want to install them. Also I already have an INVIDIA N2 CAT BACK installed
@@KevinVo yes sir! Ive had my eyes on that for a while but had to take care of suspension, transmission, and block. Now that i can finally get it, its no where to be found.
But you need back compression from headers for more power so having a cat works... also on equal length is better. You actually lose power going catless and having unequal
This is a common misconception. The pressure used to get rid of the rest of the exhaust gases that remain in the cylinder is determined mostly by the size and length of the runners and collector. The catalytic converter just becomes a point of restriction. Engineering Explained has a very good video going through this whole process: ruclips.net/video/jjPeP_Nn2B4/видео.html
@@KevinVo it’s cause my friend has stage 2 e85 tune with Tomei uel, invidia catless overpipe, catless invidia front pipe and n1 cat back. I only have n1 and flex fuel kit but running 93 and I still pull on him.. I have no tune brother.
Truth be told these cars even with forced induction do not even come close to being restricted by catalytic converter flow. There will be no difference in power between a quality catted header vs catless. Dont be a cheap ass. Spend the extra cash and dont add to the ever growing pollution problem. A high flow catted header and switching to E85 makes you eco friendly and much faster. WIN WIN.
Good seeing you guys in my neck of the woods today! Hope ya'll have a safe trip!

Just letting everyone know.. FT-Speed UEL header sounds great with the FT-Speed / Remark quad tip cat-back 😎
I had a big smile on my face as soon as I started the car up after the header install!
Please do a mxp comp rs with the ftspeed uel headers! Id love to hear that combo
Unfortunately, I don't have a Comp RS to test on, but who knows!
Yo can you do a video how to install heated mirrors like how to wire it to the defroster? my toyota 86 does not have mirror defrost :(
I'll look into it, but it's probably not something I'd do just due to the fact that this is going to be a track dedicated car.

No movement on them yet. I'll look into it again for you!

You aren't required to change your overpipe. The FTspeed header can mate up with either a stock or aftermarket overpipe.

Are we able to change the headers and do a stage 2 tune if we haven’t changed the front pipe?

Yes
