Thank you for this video! I'm still waiting to hear on the status of my order though. Hopefully it didn't get lost, sales hasn't responded to me in a couple weeks.
Thanks for letting us know that a decat front pipe won’t bring up the power. I’m now strongly thinking going back to stock front pipe to get rid of the strong exhaust smell 😂
The overpipe is one of few occasions having the car on the ground can make life easier via jacking up the engine a bit. Took me less than five minutes to get it out once I committed to pulling the passenger engine mount nut and jacking up the engine 😆
So you pull the passenger side mount nut, then you Jack the motor up a bit or do you Jack up the motor first? Also what’s the process with letting it down, not tryna have the shit fall on me 😭
I had my car in the air and unbolted the right engine mount to remove the overpipe. I used an underhoist stand to raise the engine just enough. Assuming you're on flaf ground, should be no issues lowering the engine back in place when you're done. If your shop doesn't have a hoist stand, then a floor jack+pole+block of wood will work.
@@YSoAggressive remove the nut and then jack the engine up. It doesn't need to go up a huge amount. Letting it down is just the reverse process. It won't fall on you.
Great video Kevin! I've been bustin up my knuckin fuckles for the last 45 minutes trying to get my damn over pipe out. Edit: Remove the studs on the overpipe and cut off the tabs that the heatshields bolt to.
Sad to say that it took me 6 hours to do ft86 header, overpipe, and front pipe. But I found it super easy to start with front pipe then unbolting all of the heat shield. Then unbolting the header.
At 2:13 the little weird hose on the right, what is the hose for? Mine leaked a little bit of fluid when i was going to do an oil change i noticed it leaked a tiny puddle of water looking or coolant not sure
Just have a question about the Overpipe, there is a long piece on one end and a kink on the other end. Which end matches up to the header side? It appears to be the long end?
Ik this is an older video but really need a gasket for my front pipe to over pipe however my over pipe isn't oem and uses nuts and bolts which gasket would give a good seal?
I'm confused. I have a supra. Is that overpipe and downpipe are the same? Or overpipe is charge pipe? Too many pipes made me confused. Install charge pipe does it make the sound louder of the supra? Or it has to be catless downpipe?
No difference in power? Interesting... You would think removing the cat would make a difference, but yeah, MAYBE the humidity levels... I don't know :(
Any one watching the homie take off the skid plates under the car with the impact. I snapped off the shitty screws that hold the panels on under the car using impact gun. 😤 do them loose by hand then the gun !!!
“Loss of back pressure” literally told this man/company in another video that you need back compression in these small engined vehicles. But apparently there was a good video as of why we didn’t need it 😂 who was right? Is my question
Hmmm, well the car made the same amount of power (actually a bit more but not worth mentioning) on a day where it was about 20-30% more humid. I'd say the humidity is more of an issue. Guess we'll find out the next time I'm on the dyno.
Kevin: "This is too loud."
Me: Completely Catless, and a full exhaust thinking that mine is too quiet "Hm.."
You're crazy!!! Maybe I'm getting old 😅
Or maybe because he has a single exit exhaust and more importantly, the remark Catback which is notoriously loud even for a single exit 😭
You might be ready for a header delete

Send me a message on IG and I'll see if I can help.
This looks so much easier on a lift ha
Absolutely! I'm spoiled haha
Indeed
it is man :/ i just did it lol on jackstands, wasnt hard . but in a lift....it would probably deel like a breeze

I always end up jacking the engine up too high and then having to dick with getting it back into place so I went this route instead haha

@@KevinVo okay awesome! Will get to it this weekend.
See you on the race track 🔥
Can't wait to get back out there!

Did you try unbolting the motor mounts and lifting the engine?

AC drainage.
@@KevinVo so if it leaked one time a little bit it’s fine?
@@STUNNAFRS it's supposed to let water drain so nothing to worry about.
So you don’t have to lift the motor to switch out the overpipe?
Correct, you just need to take the heat shields off of the overpipe.
Super cool
I think so too!
Does anyone know what size gaskets to get for the over pipe cause I am looking for some but there is a bunch of sizes and things like that
I want to put a front pipe on my car but the check engine light is going to cause my car to run bad how can I get out of that check engine light
Took off heat shield. Twist and turn pipe it wouldn't pass through the front of flinge......followed video and angles. Did u remove anything else?
With an over pipe and front pipe like in your vid does a check engine light gone on due to fact your now catless?
Do you need the over pipe or can I just get the front pipe without the over pipe
Which exact over pipe are these? The links didnt help 😢
Tool wise what would I need for overpipe and a header
Do you need to update the tune with this mods?
Just have a question about the Overpipe, there is a long piece on one end and a kink on the other end. Which end matches up to the header side? It appears to be the long end?
anyone know the thread size for the front pipe hanger? mine fell out and i think it’s rattling
Original front pipe has GPF?
Time for force induction soon or keeping it NA?
Time attack class I'll be running in doesn't allow for adding FI so it'll be NA for now.
Ik this is an older video but really need a gasket for my front pipe to over pipe however my over pipe isn't oem and uses nuts and bolts which gasket would give a good seal?
I think you missed a nut on the gearbox?
3:53
Yup! haha previous owner must've lost it. Not experiencing any leaks so I'll replace it the next time I get the chance.
Is the tomei front pipe the type 80 or type 60 and whats the difference?
I heard overpipe doesn’t make much of a sound difference can anyone confirm or deny? I’ve done everything but the overpipe so I’m just wondering
I did a before & after test on mine & really didnt hear a Difference.
@@TripSkyWalker ok thanks
Yeah, the overpipe will not make a noticeable differen in sound. That's mainly the header, front pipe, and catback.
I heard no difference. It is such a small pipe on the system, changing it will give you better bends and slightly better diameter.
Get some earplugs! Thanks for detailed videos.
Of course, thanks for watching!

i have a question, since you did the front pipe and over pipe, where is the mid pipe?
the catback
No difference in power? Interesting... You would think removing the cat would make a difference, but yeah, MAYBE the humidity levels... I don't know :(
The Cat isnt As Restricted as ppl make them out to be. Not until you start pushing serious power.
Main advantage would be weight on this car.
Custom tuning may allow you to squeeze a bit of extra top end out of it.
@@MyGoToUserName this was a pro tune. The humidity probably played a factor. We'll come back once we get a flex fuel kit on here.
Retaining the Primary Cat and Delete the Secondary Cat.
Will it still pass emissions this way?
Any one watching the homie take off the skid plates under the car with the impact. I snapped off the shitty screws that hold the panels on under the car using impact gun. 😤 do them loose by hand then the gun !!!
Did anyone else have rust falling into their eyes or just me?
Just you, common sense is wearing safety glasses
