    Hawke becoming a fade dragon would be a great reward to players who sacrificed their Hawke in the Fade, especially considering the default Hawke is a magic and regardless the Fade is potent with magical energy.
    Otherwise I'd imagine there will be a lot of dead Loghains and Alistairs come DA4, which would be unfortunate considering the First Warden/Warden Civil War plot point has yet to be addressed in any meaningful capacity.

    One of the big components of the Hawke is Alive theory is that the text in game states that whoever you choose "MAY" die. It doesn't say you're outright choosing someone's death. As such, I've always felt that choice is a risk but that the potential for that person to come back has always been there.

    I have a theory about the ending scene of Inquisition where Solas meets Mythal. That scene makes as much sense to me as Solas' general plans do. Unless, Mythal was the one the woke Solas up and gave him the order to tear down the veil. Presumably so she could have her revenge on the Evanuris. She seems pretty hellbent on "a reckoning that will shake the heavens" when we talk to her in the fade and she all but yells at us; "Mythal crawled and clawed her way through the ages, to me and I will see her revenged!". What makes me think that she's the one who set it all into motion is the fact that Solas has zero questions about her survival. Nothing. No "Jeez, I'm so glad your alive." Not even a "How did you do it?". Mythal instantly starts scolding him for giving the orb to Corypheus, to which he replies that he was too weak. And then he says something really interesting: "The failure was mine. I SHOULD pay the price. But the people, they need me." He says "SHOULD pay the price" not "should have paid the price". He's obviously not talking about dying trying to open the orb. He's seems to be talking about a future event. Then he tells Mythal "I am sorry" to which she replies: "I am sorry as well, old friend". The camera angle cuts to a closeup of Solas' face seen from over the shoulder of Mythal and just for a moment the light seems to come from Solas, not her. Then there is a cut, the angle changes onto Mythal's face and she looks surprised as Solas rips her power from her. What I think was happening here was Mythal planning to do the same to Solas as he did to her. He failed her in failing to tear down the veil and now she plans to take matters into her own hands. Assuming this, Solas' statement about he being the one that should pay the price for his failure all of a sudden makes sense. One of them needs to absorb the others power to move forward.
    So, I guess my theory is: Mythal was the actual mastermind behind tearing down the veil. Solas does seem to loose a lot of drive in Trespasser and especially in the last short story of Tevinter nights. His priorities seem to have shifted. He still wants to tear down the veil but bringing back magic to everyone only seems to be a side effect and not the main goal anymore.

    Speaking of Hawke, lemme just say that I always leave him in the fade to (supposedly) die. Mainly because his presence in Inquisition doesn't help as much as his Warden friend. He even says "Corypheus is *my* responsibility", but if he lives, he just runs far away to Weisshaupt and never contacts you again. He isn't even a Warden! Why tf should he go there!? It is possible that during Solas's sleep he had no control over what his subordinates did and if Shartan was a subordinate then it's possible that's seeing the elves imprisoned by slavery and andraste trying to free all people from Tevinter he acted alongside her to Free The People believing that's what his master would do.

    • @thestitchwithsami
      @thestitchwithsami 6 лет назад +10

      He definitely didn't absolutely control his agents while he slept; look at Felassan. He did communicate with them while he slept, in my opinion. Maybe back in Shartan's time, he did have a higher hope for the elves to be saved. Maybe it was only after repeated failure, after this rebellion failed, and then the Dales fell, and the next tragedy, and the next, that he gave up on them being WORTH saving. Which is really hypocritical, what do you expect people to do when you suddenly take all their tools away, Solas, but that's a discussion for another time.

    The thing about Morrigan misunderstanding her mother's intent is interesting. I was under the thought process that Flemeth brought Morrigan up harshly because she wanted her to distrust everyone because that would guarantee her survival in a world with the Chantry in it. That in turn would mean the heritage of Mythal would carry on because Morrigan is so wary, and also so hungry for power and information that will further her survival. Flemeth can also have dropped leads to sources of information and power so Morrigan could find it without suspecting it came from Flemeth.
    Now that latter part - Flemeth leaving clues for Morrigan to find - could still have happened, but the idea that Morrigan's distrust was a detail Flemeth may not have intended is just a problem Flemeth would have had to work around.

      Meanwhile, my pet theory is that the Guardian of the Sacred Ashes is Maferath. This theory is very tied up in my own crossover headcanon, but it is the one part of it I also believe can work independently of world-hopping sapient shiny jewels.

    • @Blackemperess
      @Blackemperess 5 лет назад +7

      Bit of a long winded thing here, sorry if it seems rambly, so TL:DR Retcon or Flemeth's just incredibly careless. Morrigan may be entirely correct, Flemeth just doesn't see it the way her daughter does. There is just too many contradictions to believe Flemeth's claims are 100% honest.
      There is a lot about the Flemeth/Morrigan plotline that doesn't make any sense. It leans too heavily on Morrigan 'misunderstanding' what Flemeth had in store for her. Which to me at least does not really seem to be the case. At first, at least in Inquisition, I started thinking that it was Flemeth testing Morrigan's potential for being the next 'Flemeth', but that only holds water if she had Kieran-and we all know that Biowares canon choice is her childless and still doesn't explain everything else we learn about Morrigan's upbringing before all of that. Drinking from the well and being _forced_ to 'understand' doesn't jive with me either, it reeks of manipulation, the bad kind.
      Honestly? I think Bioware retconned the body snatcher plotline after Origins. Why? Well Flemeth abused the hell out of Morrigan her entire life, treating her more like a tool to be honed for use, not a potential vessel for the passing on of the spirit. Only to then turn around and say Morrigan was never in danger of her possession as if they're trying to soften up the image of Mythal's vessel realising she would be seen as just another morally bankrupt character. Odd thing to do right? But this is the really odd bit;
      Morrigan's whole purpose in Origins was to do the ritual and give rise to the OGB. Her stumbling across Flemeth's grimoire was not part of the plan. So Morrigan gets wise to Flemeth's intentions and bids you to go slay her. If it was a deception on Morrigans part, who was the only one who could read the book, she would've gone with you to see the task carried out. Indicating that she believed her mother could indeed possess her. Let's also not forget the armour description of Morrigans end game outfit in Origins that we obtain from Flemeth regardless of how we choose to deal with the quest. Why would Flemeth want to weaken Morrigan's will if she meant her no harm?
      Even stranger is how our interactions with Flemeth seem to indicate that she takes over her daughters body, not that the spirit is bequethed to the daughter in question. Flemeth talks as if she _is_ Flemeth, not some random daughter in the conga line who took in Mythal's essence. So how exactly was Morrigan's interpretation of what Flemeth planned wrong? It was even written in her god damn grimoire and it's unlikely that Morrigan misunderstood what was written.
      This is coming from the same woman who went out of her way to learn ancient elven (as much as she could at least, we don't know the full extent of her knowledge), stole a book from a dalish clan, reactivated an illuvian using said book and traversed the roads ahead, sometimes alone or perhaps with the warden, all in a desperate bid to stay ahead of and undermine her mothers scheming.
      Not only that, it is shown that Yevana knew exactly what her mother intended as well as what she was and referred to it as an honor to be chosen-why wasn't Morrigan let in on the secret like her sister was? It doesn't make any sense to not prep the next vessel for what their intended purpose is by making them a frothing devotee to Mythal's will. Hell of an oversight really. Especially when this 'misunderstanding' causes her to hire her comrade to kill her mother and after the battle _runs._
      There is a number of things that just doesn't jive about Flemeth's plans. She teaches Morrigan harsh lessons and that her body is just a tool to get what she wants. At first it seems to make sense from a more bitter mother trying to impart how cruel the word is, except that it puts across that *_Morrigan_* is just a tool to be used and at the end she was just what? A new recepticle for her mother and her pet wisp? That Morrigan was expected to accept that and _let_ her mother do as she pleased? Morrigan fleeing makes sense, Flemeth's plan to emotionally, psychologically and physically abuse her daughter and claim she was never in danger from her does not.
      Morrigan _is_ a schemer. So is her mother. The difference is, Morrigan's reaction to her discoveries are one of shock and horror. She is horrified when she reads her mothers personal grimoire. She begs us to slay her mother to protect her. She _runs_ from her mother when she realises she isn't dead. She amasses knowledge, finds hiding spots and works her way into positions that would allow her access to more knowledge and power. Depending on what you chose, it could be because she wants to protect her son or save her Warden. By Inquisition the threat of Flemeth falls by the wayside, either due to the more pressing issue of the tear and the war-or because Morrigan thinks she gave her mother the slip and has time to breathe.
      I believe that Morrigan's understanding of what Flemeth intended to do to her was correct and that Flemeth doesn't see that pilfering her daughter's body to further Mythal's plans is a bad thing. She's been doing it for generations, why stop now?
      In this case, Solas stops it, so buttering her daughter up is necessary. The wisp may find it's way to Morrigan and she (depending on whether the writers will ignore the players choices) may be foolish enough to take the wisp in. The previous daughters of Flemeth may have been willing, but that does not mean that they are not taken over completely by Flemeth via the possession. The only reason it changed here is because Flemeth is no more (possibly) and the wisp is all that remains. But was this Flemeth's intention from the beginning? Probably not.
      The power and knowledge the wisp could impart would be incredibly tempting to someone wanting to preserve such knowledge, sure, but I'm not convinced she would willingly allow possession seeing what it did to her own mother. Especially if she had Kieran and/or the warden at her side. She wouldn't sacrifice them for the wisps schemes. But it now depends on the new writers and how they choose to lead the story.
      Flemeth's a complete unknown, Morrigan's motivations can be discerned more easily. If it's a choice, I'm inclined to back Morrigan because while she is manipulative she isn't completely lost to the world due to bitterness and hate like Flemeth was.

    • @Felsenkeks
      @Felsenkeks 3 года назад

      @@Blackemperess i think both can be correct. Flemeth did talk as if she was the actual Flemeth, but if you believe in the theory that Andraste was possessed by Mythal, then you have here an example of Mythal possessing someone before Flemeth and where she didn't completely take over their entire personhood, but was more like Urthemiel is inside Kieran - a presence that whispers on the fringes of the mind. I think Flemeth's plan was to make Morrigan the next Flemeth, head to toe, for her own agenda, but in case of emergency, like now that Solas killed her, she is also willing to just pass on the wisp of Mythal. I think Flemeth already was willing to sacrifice herself and just pass on Mythal, because she feels regret over her relationship with Morrigan and realised she didnt want to force herself on her when she fought so strongly against it and showed no signs of letting up.
      From a meta perspective, they would never extinguish Morrigan's personality for Flemeth's. She's too important a character to the series. So I think she'll take on the role of Flemeth as slightly shady wise woman ally but she'll stay Morrigan.

    • @Blackemperess
      @Blackemperess 3 года назад

      @@Felsenkeks Damn, I was wordy 2 years ago. Sorry about that.
      To be honest it reeks more of the writers retconning the whole plotline to make what they're going to force Morrigan to be more palatable. Even though it will directly contradict and ignore any players who chose to keep her away from the well to protect her from this happening.
      Not that Bioware has a good track record of respecting player choice to begin with.
      Flemeth's personality didn't seem to be suppressed as you've stated and I agree, but her outbursts from DA2 play out as if she _is_ Mythal. The lines may blur after years as a vessel, but something just seems off about it.

    What might be fun (though admittedly a little harder to research) is to have a look at popular theories from back when DAO or DA2 came out that have since become disproven, or indeed if any turned out to be right, at at least close to the mark.
    For example: Before DAI, I had a pet theory that Flemeth was the Dread Wolf. Mostly based on her quirky trickster-like personality, her tendency to show up to intervene in the lives of soon to be important people and all of the Elven connections (Morrigan's knowledge of Elven magic lore, the way the Dalish -- Merrill included -- spoke of her, etc.) But also because at the time, the lore implied that all of the other gods had been locked away and only Fen'harel was free. Granted it's mostly superstition, the the Dalish still set a wolf statue outside of camp to ward him off, as if he's still out there in the world.
    The breadcrumbs were there, I just followed them down the wrong path! ;)
    Somewhat related side note: Does it seem odd that the Dalish are so afraid of the Dread Wolf? The way he's depicted in their folklore appears to indicate that the modern Elves (or at least the Dalish) are descended from those that were loyal to the Evanuris when Arlathan fell and bought into the propaganda against him.
    To me this begs the question: What happened to all his followers and those he freed that so very few if any stories of him as a liberator survived? Is it simply because the enslaved outnumbered the freed and over time (with a combination of Tevinter cultural erasure and the consolidation of their folklore in the Dales) meant their's just became the more common account? Or did something happen to wipe out most of Solas's faction towards the end of the rebellion?
    It might account for why he was willing to take such drastic measures beyond the murder of Mythal and whatever the others were planning if his back was against a wall...or more chillingly, how he powered the creation of the veil in the first place. Solas seems to have a utilitarian view of blood magic and he's certainly capable of a horrific sacrifice if he feels the need is great enough...

      Ooh, the implication of Solas using blood magic in creating the veil is a fascinating thought, one that hadn't even occurred to me... You'd think there'd be some sort of lingering impact on Skyhold, though, if that were the case. That much blood magic tends to leave a horrible stain; look at Kirkwall.
      I had always assumed that Solas's followers, any that were outspoken and didn't go into hiding anyways, would have been killed by the Evanuris-loyal elves (which would have vastly outnumbered them). If you listen to the memories in the Vir Dirthara, when the Veil went up, the world went into turmoil. Ways disappeared, and the ways were the only way for many cities and civilizations to even be reached. Buildings that were half-magic, half-real world would have crumbled immediately. People died, a lot of them. You can hear in the Librarian's recorded words: "After we get out of here, I will end Fen'Harel." They knew the Veil went up, they knew Solas did it, and they knew the Gods had disappeared (what's fascinating to me is that this is coming from Elves trapped INSIDE the Fade; which means the Gods aren't necessarily accessible even once you get into the Fade) even though they were stuck on the other side. They had some way to communicate with the rest of the world, even though they were stuck. I doubt the desire to see Fen'Harel pay for their downfall was limited to these trapped souls, though. And as they continue to say, after the Veil went up, he disappeared too. Who's left to take that anger, fear, resentment out on? Fen'Harel's freed followers, of course.

      If the dalish are descendants of the loyal slaves(which makes a lot of sense, they even wear the vallaslin "honouring" their gods), then maybe the followers of fen'harel are the city elves, who wear no vallaslin. So Solas wanted to free the elves and ironically the ones that were loyal slaves still live disillusioned under the myth of their "gods", while the ones that followed him found even worse enslavement and marginalisation in the cities of humans. Total fail lol....

      According to in-game lore, the city elves are those that survived the fall of the Dales but pretty much gave up having a separate elven life, so they were moved into the alienages of large cities. The Dalish are those that chose not too. So less likely they're descended from Fen'Harel's followers, since they all have the common ancestry of coming from the Dales.

    Just my opinion but: I think the big problem with the "Solas is Shartan" theory is that, in Trespasser, Solas tells the Inquisitor "I lay in dark and dreaming sleep while countless wars and ages passed. I woke still weak a year before I joined you." That's... an exact timeline? Yes, he could be lying to us, but as Catie points out in other videos, Solas does not lie in that way- he lies by omission, by letting other people fill in the gaps and not correcting them, or by purposefully over or understating. I feel like the big reason to write dialogue like that, that's that direct, is to give us as players a timeline to track for how long Solas has directly had influence in the world.
    I think it's much more likely that "Shartan" was one or many of the ancient elves who had once followed the Dread Wolf, and not entered uthenara, or who woke up earlier, trying to figure out how to help their people in this world.
    I know this video is super old at this point, but I'm hyperfixating in preparation for potential trailers in the last week's of 2021.

    I think the idea that Solas and Shartan are linked is not totally unthinkable. In your video on Solas, you point out that Elvhen names are actually certain causes or titles an individual takes for themselves (i.e. Abelas="Sorrow" then Solas says, "I hope you find a new name"). Maybe THE Shartan that supported Andraste was an ancient elf like Felassan and that's why he looks and thinks similarly to Solas?
    P.S. Looking forward to DA:O Lets Play, if you're still planning on doing that.

    I'm not too familiar with DA theories but is there any good ones as to how Fiona is no longer a Grey Warden?
    I just finished reading The Calling and am really curious as to what smarter people think ;)
    I have 2 ideas, the first being that it has something to do with the black dagger that Duncan stole from, and then used on the First Enchanter, the dagger definitely seemed as it could negate the dark magic taught to the First Enchanter by the Architect. But maybe more than that, could the dagger somehow negate all magic related to the Darkspawn including the Taint?. If so could it remove the Taint from one of the Old Gods?...
    Secondly, Could Fiona somehow of passed it on to Alistair?, could he of been born a Grey Warden?. At the end of the book Duncan tell Maric and Fiona that he "Will watch him" and "Keep him safe", I find it hard to believe Duncan would chance Alistair life by letting him take "The Joining" ritual.

      To answer your question Alistair wise, she was able to pass on to him the ability to negate the taint to an extent, to his knowledge he doesn’t realize that...Duncan most likely let him join in knowing that he might possibly negate it as well....Which is why if you sacrifice Alistair, the warden’s of Weisshaupt takes his body and studies it...

    The Dread Wolf .. I wonder if we will see him in his Godly form. A Big Bad Dark Wolf with three eyes.
    In Thedas his statues are everywhere, but also many times there is also a deer statue next to sir Wolfy's. The deer represent Ghilan'nain .. Right?
    According to an inscription in the Temple of Mythal, Ghilan'nain herself created giants, monsters, and beasts that spanned across the sky, water, and earth. These creatures Ghilan'nain had killed in three days after Andruil approached her with an offer for apotheosis.
    You guys think that maybe Ghilan'nan's apotheosis was The Dread Wolf ?
    Ghilan'nain created giant monsters, so she could have been the one that turned Solas into a monstrous wolf, gave him the name Fen'harel. Her apotheosis, crown achievement.

      I heard in party banter that Solas denied the claims that the Creators were gods, maybe they could shift into animal form or take that form in the Fade but it didn't make them gods. The ancient elves saw them the way primitives saw super-powerful beings, they didn't know what they were for they were a child hearing about vampires or werewolves without understanding they were all make-believe. Primitives had to find a way to explain the world and so they turned to exaggerated tall-tale stories to do so. So again, it is confirmed by Solas correcting Cassandra in party banter that the Creators were but super heroes and not gods.

What qualifies one to be God? If the people believe them to be Gods does that make it so? As an Atheist, to me GOD sounds like tribalism .. My God is better then yours.
      Also, when Solas says " Anyone who claims to be GOD is either mad or lying" this could apply to the Maker as well. Andraste may have been the bride of a mad man.

    I do not believe Solas and Shartan are the same person. He may have been an agent of his, but they couldn’t have been the same. Arlathan fell years before Andraste was even born. And Solas was in a coma like state shortly after creating the Veil because he was extremely weak afterwards. After the Veil was created the ancient elves of Arlathan lost everything, their magic, their written history, their cities and other places that were intrinsically tied to the fade, and their lifespan. Those who survived the destruction of their world after the Veil’s creation were enslaved by Tevinter. They tried to remember their history and culture and teach it to the younger generation, but with each generation more and more of their history and culture was lost till elders barely knew anything or were misinformed. Solas was already in a coma when Shartan fought with Andraste to free the elves from Tevinter.

    1) I think the Abyss one makes perfect sense given Bioware's tendency to purposely work secrets into the names of things. For example, Solas' personal quest in DAI, All New, Faded for Her, is an anagram for Fen'harel Dread Wolf, done completely on purpose. The quest What Pride Has Wrought which leads you to the Temple of Mythal where Abelas and other ancient elves were found, could be construed to read What Solas Has Wrought since Solas means Pride, and he was heavily involved in that ancient elven war wherein the elves destroyed themselves rather than the Imperium (which Dorian is flabbergasted to discover). The war ends with Solas supposedly trapping the so-called gods as revenge for them having murdered Mythal. So the fact that Flemeth (who has a piece of Mythal inside her) told Hawke not to hesitate to leap into the abyss, and then DAI with flashing neon lights, pointing fingers and a bunch of wiggling arrows screams HERE LIES THE ABYSS, well, it wasn't exactly subtle...
    2) A bit confused on the timeline for the theory that Solas was involved in any way with elves/slaves during the time that Shartan "enemy of my enemy is my friend"-ed her to achieve a common goal. If Solas did his fancy work ripping the elves' world apart with the Veil, and then went to sleep for a thousand years cuddled with the Orb from He**...er, the Void...wouldn't that mean he was asleep while Andraste took up with Shartan and the elves and went after the Tevinters? Would he not have been sleeping during her betrayal and, well, basically, all of that story we know so well about what happened to her? I believe the answer to be yes, he would have, given that Shartan was born in captivity in Tevinter and encouraged his fellow slaves to rise up against their masters. It was this rebellion which caught Andraste's attention to begin with. And the elves were not enslaved by Tevinter before Solas decimated their world; he clearly states they were enslaved by their own people - the very gods the Dalish now tattoo reminders of on their faces without realizing what they're doing. So I think from a timing perspective alone that saying Solas was Shartan makes no sense unless Solas blatantly lied about sleeping for a thousand years.

    When Flemeth says that in DA2, I immediately feel it's more about her foretelling what's gonna happen with Solas. Because after you play DA:I, you realize Solas is gonna break open the veil and try returning everything to the good ole elven days. Except, oh wait, not so good for Hawke cuz he/she is a human, not elf! When you go back to that flemeth scene in DA2, and hear how she talks about Morrigan... just the whole convo... She was preparing this entire time for what was to come with Solas' plans. Talks about destiny, the sky breaking open, how she expects her daughter to think she knows more and in DA origins, she forced morrigan to leave with the wardens, and Morrigan wants her spell books and all this other stuff. Flemeth knew and planned it to all play out this way. Because she was preparing for what Solas would do. Think about the ending of DA:I when Solas "kills" her to take the spirit into himself. What Flemeth wants with her daughter's God baby who was born of a warden... all of it!!! It links up!!!

    1. Hawke dies due to the number of demons and nightmares
    2. Hawke dies b/c of lack of basic necessities
    3. Hawke survived, but is now possessed by a demon (especially if they are a mage)
    4. Hawke can be freed from the Fade, if Solas tears down the Veil, forcing them to possibly make a choice to jump down from the sky or not. If they do, they'll technically be flying, maybe even becoming a bird since they can't become a dragon, or riding on something that can fly.

    I wasn't into this Solas is Shartan theory at all until that World of Thedas entry, as that significantly solidifies it. However, as much as we can go off from that, especially with Flemeth being likened to Andraste pre-Inquisition, I simply can't believe Solas would randomly wake up mid-fade nap, help some elves, then go back to sleep only to suddenly dislike those very people and blatantly lie about the whole timeline, especially given the accuracy of his accounts.
    For this theory to work, Shartan would straight up be an agent of his, but without his approval or perhaps even knowledge; so basically, performing deeds in Solas' name.
    Your point that the Chantry tales could simply be lifted from Elven mythology is by far the most likely case; similar things have happened everywhere already.
    Oh, and as for the Anchor business, I see no reason why - or how - he would "take" the mark. He always appeared intent on removing it, as that would prevent your Inquisitor's death "none but I could have bore the mark and lived", and hell, I don't think Corypheus could take it either, only remove it to remove your interference "the process of its REMOVAL begins now" "I will not suffer even an unknowing rival"; ie, he never could take it in the first place. His line "so be it, I will begin again" seems to imply removing the Anchor would allow him to apply it to himself, but perhaps that is because it is linked to Solas' orb, and he couldn't simply do the ritual again until your Anchor was removed.
    Very wordy comment, sorry :P but yeah, that's my two cents on the matter(s).

      What I wonder is if Solas's agents are all elves that have been awoken from Uthenera at different points. We get to spend more time with Felassan in the book, but Briala makes a couple comments that he's physically different from most of the other elves. He also, like Solas, does not view the Dalish as his people, though Briala takes it to mean the specific clan they were near at the time. But he does start to view them as people by the end of the book, which is what leads him to defying Solas and dying. Another point in the theory is that Marithari in DA2 says there hasn't been a dreamer among her people in a very long time, but we know that's exactly what Felassan was. Maybe she was right in that one hadn't been born in a long time, because Felassan (and Shartan, and other of Solas's agents over time) weren't born amongst modern elves, but we roused from uthenera.

    Epic video! That Shartan Theory blows my mind, and I'm convinced Solas either is Shartan or was involved with him. Thank you so much for sharing these theories! Please keep it up!

  • @andrewvincent7299
    @andrewvincent7299 3 года назад

    The way Andraste meets the maker is very very similar to how Flemeth met Mythal. Pictures of Andraste even look like a younger Flemeth. They wear a similar crown. I have a feeling Shartan was Solas. There is even art work of Shartan that has him wearing the same exact armor Solas wears in Trespasser. I think Andraste may have been Flemeth or a real person that Mythal came to and Solas who was still awake went to her to help her crusade and to free the elven slaves

  • @sarij3950

    Huh. So theoretically, if Solas was/is Shartan, would that mean that Andraste was Mythal?

    I feel like the anchor is out of play for da4 also and I would love some theories on what mythals plan actually is. We’ve seen it play out over the corse of 3 games like a puppet master but what is her actual end game for revenge??

    • @thestitchwithsami
      @thestitchwithsami 6 лет назад

      I honestly think her endgame is just to watch the world burn. Mythal isn't out to help anyone, like Solas is with the elves. Mythal isn't even out to save HERSELF. She's just angry and full of hatred and betrayal and suspicion. She wants everyone who ever hurt her to suffer. Especially the evanuris. But she can't do anything about them, because they're locked away. So she needs Solas to let them free, so they can be actually destroyed. I don't know how she thinks she's going to accomplish that, but I do think she wants Solas to do exactly what he's doing.

      Your probably right with all the information we have I guess I’m curious how the eleven gods would be killed (if they’re similar to corypheus in that they can’t be killed and the fade turned them into something similar to magisters ) and if she figured that out too. Though da4 might answer that for us haha.

  • @garycarbo1761
    @garycarbo1761 6 лет назад +1

    Hol up. Are all the old gods the eleven gods. Flemeth/mythal can shapeshift into a dragon I assume most of the other eleven gods can do this too, and they got trapped in the fade by solas and must have been butthurt by him so they then went have taught the humans in tevinter how to use blood magic to reach them in the fade and bring the blight to thedas taking their dragon forms. (Also when they “die” they are reborn in a dankspawn sorta like how mythal does with her daughters)

    I will say on the Solas and Shartan theory that Solas does compliment Sera on the Friends of Red Jenny. An organization where there is no one true Red Jenny, rather a collection of Robin Hood esque people sticking it to the uppity rich tits.

    I that first theory is just: We don't WANT Hawke to be dead!!!1! :( My evidence is that I played Inquisition first so then when I went back and played the other two I made sure that I made decisions that would lead to a Warden Shroud or Hawke choice so I could abandon someone in the fade with minimal guilt. There's still guilt tho. I'm sorry I made you king Alistair but I had no choice 😔

    If Solas had the power to sever the Fade. I don't see why he couldn't defeat the Evanuris himself. He must have had help or sought power from a human God (Maker) just to spite the Evanuris

      Haha- no, not at all. Look, I’m not going to sit here and argue with you, but if I wanted to push people into giving me money, there are way more lucrative and effective ways to do so. The amount I make on patreon vs the time I put into this channel equal out to way less than minimum wage. If this was all some money scheme, I would be better off working fast food. I just say it because it fits into the ‘character’ of the channel, and I’m not going to let the coincidence of Patreon ruin the theme I choose. Cheers, dude.
