I remember first walking into the tower and I was like wait.... Nightsong..? Then the motif from down by the river kicked in as I approached the chior of women. I genuinely sat there for about 10 minutes "attending" the funeral service before I even asked what was going on. Looked out over that small balcony, really took it all in. Truly one of the most immersive experiences Ive had in a game for god knows how long. Easily several years.

To me, this song sounds like a reprise of a theme for a paladin who has fallen in battle trying to protect someone. It’s beautiful with sadness interwoven within it. I love it.
Well... ingame it is sung on the mourning ceremony for a deceased cleric of Umberlee (poor [or happy?] soul was bathing in Baldurs Gate's harbour and got hit by a descending submersible, lost consciousness and drowned [what is indeed a blessing for an Umberlant]).
This song makes you stop right in your tracks and just appreciate how amazing this game is. I stopped for 30 minutes just to listen to this and reflect on the incredible journey so far and what’s to come.

I ended up getting stuck in dialogue with congregants outside the temple when I first heard this and didn't realize they would stop singing after a couple of minutes.
I've been playing this game for around 400 hours from July to October. I've made 4 walkthroughs. I decided to make a break, and let a few months to the devs to improve this masterpiece and see if other games are worth playing. Short answer is NO! (Except to save the DEMOCRACY of course!) Now it is time to come back to Baldur's gate. Thanks again for all of this OST. Each time I ear it, it gives me chills
I've done like 6-7 runs at 700 hours right now. Don't regret a single hour. This game makes every other I play seem like a joke. Helldivers 2 was fun but I got bored pretty quickly. The devs have so much made already but they release it too slowly and game is so prone to crashes
