The assault on Moonrise towers was a special moment for me! not only the thrill was over the ceiling, the soundtrack freaking epic and compelling....but... There was this npc dwarf, a Harper. I will NEVER forget him. An Absolute Goon cast Guardian of Faith in the middle of the hall. It was going to wreck everyone who wanted to cross. That one dwarf went ahead, charging at the Guardian of Faith headon and struck it down, almost dying - SO THE OTHER HARPERS COULD CHARGE FORWARD. I shouted so loud that day. I will never forget that epic act of heroism. I protected that dwarf with all I had.
8:33 JUST hit when I read "That one dwarf went ahead, charging at the Guardian of Faith head on and struck it down, almost dying - SO THE OTHER HARPERS COULD CHARGE FORWARD." Nearly brought a tear to my eye hahaha. Epic.
I'll never forget arriving at Moonrise as my first Dark Urge character and desperately pulling at threads to figure out what her past may have been. Ever since, 6:25 has encapsulated a true moment of catharsis as I slaughtered everyone in the tower. The only thing better was doing it as my second Dark Urge after understanding the full scope of the horrors this place put them through.
@@piotrs1174 Very true, Zrell with the blackhole ability is super duper devastating if you're all grouped up. Hardest part for me was trying to stop the trader from killing herself
you can also just slaughter the tower via stealth before you go to the crypt, like accept the quest from zrell, then just wait till she goes to her little office and redrum everyone 1 by 1
With the phalar aluve singing creating light on all the harpers and flaming fists and my companions as we poured into moonrise was beast. The ogre went down on turn one then we launched our full attack. Black clouds that damaged us was placed on us but the light glew past as we poured threw and slaughtered our foe. It was glorious. Death to the Absolute!
Dude I thought doing this on balanced mode with the harpers was bad, notably Jaheira running to her doom. Playing as dark urge blind on tactitician (I hadnt pre cleared the tower) was a whole new level of pain. I eventually had to bullshit my way to the top floor by sneaking around the outside and then making a beeline to Ketheric. Funnily enough Ketherics first phase went incredibly quick, my Oathbreaker ran up to him and bonked him a couple of times for max crit damage so he was out in 2 hits lol. But dear god the skellys, the ABUNDANCE of skellys ended me a couple of times before getting it right
When you always commit massive murder in Moonrise Towers before meeting with Nightsong so you never get a proper battle here... Sorry Jaheira, you can just wait, right?

@@kikkidock Haha, that sounds awesome, mate. Dwarfs indeed are no joke.

Chad dwarf
I just sneak killed everybody before and the epic assault ended up being a single halfling on rafters or something like this =)

What a perfect theme for confronting ketheric thorm, it almost feels like he should have been the main antagonist/final boss
@@JaxonianRex When I first saw some pictures of Ketheric Thorm I actually thought he was the main villain. And I wish he was, as well.
This battle was so frustrating, but so good! Especially with all the Harpers and Flaming Fists allied with your party.
You can sneak past it if you don’t mind missing the exp and loot
Much easier if you use the side entrace through the kitchen and use doors to your advantage ;)
Had Karlach rage when 7:12 hit and charge in, felt so damn epic

8:34 this part sounds so divine
it's great hearing all of this put together - thanks so much for uploading this!
legends say that if u listen to this while in combat u get +1d4 to ur throws
Associate this theme more with Myrkul than i do with moonrise itself. Him on Tactician is a nightmare.
