After being stuck in the Underdark for so long, entering the Mountain Pass was such a breath of fresh air for me. The gentle light, the birdsong, the breathtaking view, and this ost backing it all? This game is so phenomenal for immersion.

“Good morning, Lathander (I suppose all mornings for you are good, you making them up out of all the bright bits of night and getting them shine worthy and such). Everything. Everything about this game has so much love and care put into it. Stop and look, and you'll find little bits of worldbuilding like this everywhere. This game deserved GoTY.
No joke, I lean heavy into the roleplay aspect of the game. I found this letter by accident after a harrowing near death experience getting the Blood of Lathander, I'm a pact of the chain warlock who used unholy power to bind this holy weapon to me. I find this letter with this music playing.. and for whatever reason the heartfelt genuineness of this unknown pilgrim spoke to me. This song to me sounds like redemption, second chances, hope, a new dawn after a long night. My warlock stopped hurting people and started helping people from that point on, I multiclassed him into paladin. He still has the letter, it never leaves his inventory.

I really hope Borislav Slavov can fully adapt this for uploading on Spotify, has to be one of the best and most memorable tracks in the game - definitely the most relaxing orchestral piece for me
This one holds a special place in my heart. After playing early access for 200 hours, always getting halted at the mountain pass entrance, the feeling of finally entering it, taking in the gorgeous scenery with this playing in the background... it was more beautiful than I could have expected.
I have been looking everywhere for 3:40. It's the song that plays when you leave act 2 after lifting the curse. I looked everywhere and I couldn't believe it's not in the actual ost. Finally here after in a replay I heard it in the mountain pass. Argh, it gives me so many chills.
I've been playing for several hours (70+) i'm just about to lift the curse and you are telling me I'm not in Act 3 yet? I don't think I'll live long enough to finish the campaign, it's a huge game.
My first thoughts when I got to this area was, “seriously? This was what Halsin was warning about? This looks infinitely better than the underdark.” But then I got to the creche…what a f-ing nightmare
I have min maxxed the game through all of the 9 hells and back and I hate the Creche with a burning passion. Even with bliss spores and morninglord's radiance it's so stupidly annoying, especially the marksmen. The bastards never miss and deal WAY too much damage for lvl 5 enemies

For real. As much as I'm enjoying the game, I felt so disappointed to find out that the soundtrack bundled with the deluxe edition has so many compositions missing. We've been done dirty in that regard, ngl.
Last night I was playing and just stopped for a few minutes as this played while my character looked over the mountains. That’s when you know a soundtrack is good, it makes you stop playing for a few minutes 😄
I got a warning message before coming here saying I am going to find it a very difficult struggle. I hesitated, put pursued then this started playing with the environment and i didn't have a single regret. Then i met the necromancer warriors and realised i'd Fkd up and needed to head back and level up.
There's only one other media that made me feel like this with his OST, and that's The Lord of The Rings. Congratulation mr. Slavlov, you're in step with Howard Shore ❤

Such a beautiful song, yet i feel like the actual mountain pass couldve contained so much more content. Aside from the group of undead its just a boring walk straight to the monestary and picking up a couple of herbs on the way…
This game is incredibly buggy, act 3 is semi disappointing. But, through all of that. No game has made me *feel* like this in like a decade. Happy, sad, scared, heartbroken and just flat out emotional. I haven't liked an RPG cast this much since dragon age origins. The soundtrack is gorgeous and honestly i think the reason this game is getting so much good press is not because it's the best game ever made. It's simply a good game, with no microtransactions, made by a team of passionate people who only wanted to make a good game for the players to enjoy. It's one thing to have a buggy game that's also a soulless cash grab, but it's another to have a game that makes you care and find joy in spite of the bugs. That's what separates great games from trash. It's hard to find the words, but TLDR: It's very easy to forgive a quest that breaks 80 hours in when 79 of those hours were some of the best you experienced in almost a decade. Is it an excuse? Well yeah actually, too long have we been dealing with games that are both bad games AND buggy pieces of shit. Finally we get some passion to go with it.
