Six days passed, since I finished my first campign. I still can not believe, it is over. Those six weirdos and their stories really became a part of me forever. This music will always remind me of all heartfelt moments in our camp. Best videogame I've played in many years.

The first time I paid attention to this song was when Astarion confessed his feelings for me. When he told me I am incredible and that I deserve something real, followed up by "I want us to be something real", I started to cry. Never in my life have I felt the same way about a character's confession. Combined with this beautiful song, his words sounded so sincere, so tender and fragile, he voluntarily showed me his vulnerable side, and if you know his backstory, it really hits hard. Everytime I listen to this song, I remember him and how much love he needs (which of course, I am more than happy to provide to him!!). Hell, even the title "Wash My Pain Away" says everything... He opened up to me, hoping that, even if I can't erase his horrible past, perhaps I can give him a better present, and make all his pain go away by giving him support and unconditional love. I love him so much and this song is the living proof of it.
I've seen Gale's astral romance scene a couple of times and used to think it was weirdly funny until my Tav experienced it. Gale describing his life in Waterdeep while this song played in the background was bittersweet and emotional (you can see how he misses his home)… And when their souls bonded (as Halsin would say) I was so overwhelmed already that I legit felt like crying lmao my eyes were wet for real. The whole scene was just too much, so I was speechless when it ended. Larian did an amazing job with this one.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who felt sadness as the dominant emotion when playing that Gale romance scene. This yearning, tragic sadness. He shows you his home in Waterdeep because not only does he long for it, but he wants you to live with him. He thinks he has no future at that point so it’s a wish for him he thinks will never come true. He’s really a very simple and loving man despite his insecure ambitions; all he wants is his home, his books, his hearth and you. And people criticize the astral love scene as being too Mystra-y but I saw it more as, he thinks he’s going to die, and he wants to be as intimate as possible with you before he does, body and mind. Seeing his tower and lovely balcony makes me mist up for sure. My first thought upon seeing it was “dear god please let our ending be us living here happily in peace”

He is such a sweet, kind, charming character. He shares this with you because he is convinced that he will die. I went with the whole Astral scene because I felt that he deserved the experience to be his idea of perfect, especially as he believes that this is it for him.

everyone else commenting about their companion romancing scene, and here i am, crying like an idiot because my dog just died a few days before i started playing this game, and this music just showed up at random when i was sorting my inventory at camp. It started playing because i was taking so long, i didn't want to leave camp because scratch strolling around my tav, wagging his tail, made me feel a little less lonely, and i didn't really have the mental energy to engage with the quests properly... every time i hear this music i just think of my dog. he was the best boy, like a slightly longer-haired, floppy-eared scratch. I missi him so much.

I just finished my first playthrough today, and while I loved it for every second I must admit I'm a little sad in a way. Much like mass effect 2 and The Witcher 3 I can never again have the sheer sense of wonder and joy that is discovering it all for the first time. There's never a playthrough quite like the first one.

the first time I heard this track was when I got gale's magic lesson scene in act 1. the part where the music swells at 1:32 is when he said "Magic is my life..." and it brought such a layer of emotion to the scene that I had to pause the game to cry for awhile. it was so beautiful

Okay so on my first playthrough i went with Astarion as my romance partner (DUH), on my second playthrough (Durge) i went with Minthara (DUH) but somehow GALE got in the way.. I got this random cutscene with him under the stars which led to us having some astral fun but not before experiencing one of the best scenes in bg3. His depth and the way he spoke won my heart right there and theres no going back lmao. I now have to romance him in my every playthrough. Yup.
This is a very cool and sad song. It tugs at my heartstrings for sure. Even more so than the acoustic version of "I want to Live" song. After reading the comments on which companions' "song" this is... it's *very* fitting.
I want to forget this game so I can admire it all over again from the beginning, and the music along with it. Thank you Borislav for your amazing art that brought us so many epic, beautiful and wholesome moments.

I just finished the game after taking my time and exploring everything it has to offer. Initially I was desperate to romance Astarion but I had a really hard time since his morals does not align with mine, and all of a sudden Gale was falling in love with my Tav. I was like, “ok whatever” but oh man when the act 2 romance scene played out, I fell inlove with him instantly. I kept watching replays of this scene since I cant get over it. In the end I married him and I saved him. Im like this little girl blushing and kicking my feet when he tells me he loves me :(

What a splendid song! True masterpiece. That it pairs with the Gale romance only makes it even more beautiful. Wish there was a way to purchase it as part of the soundrack.
the first time I heard this track was when I got gale's magic lesson scene in act 1. the part where the music swells at 1:32 is when he said "Magic is my life..." and it brought such a layer of emotion to the scene that I had to pause the game to cry for awhile. it was so beautiful

Okay so on my first playthrough i went with Astarion as my romance partner (DUH), on my second playthrough (Durge) i went with Minthara (DUH) but somehow GALE got in the way.. I got this random cutscene with him under the stars which led to us having some astral fun but not before experiencing one of the best scenes in bg3. His depth and the way he spoke won my heart right there and theres no going back lmao. I now have to romance him in my every playthrough. Yup.

I just finished the game after taking my time and exploring everything it has to offer. Initially I was desperate to romance Astarion but I had a really hard time since his morals does not align with mine, and all of a sudden Gale was falling in love with my Tav. I was like, “ok whatever” but oh man when the act 2 romance scene played out, I fell inlove with him instantly. I kept watching replays of this scene since I cant get over it. In the end I married him and I saved him. Im like this little girl blushing and kicking my feet when he tells me he loves me :(
