Lyrics
--------------------------
We pick our way
Over hill, moor and changing
You into me
And me into you -
I meant to say
That I love you - or maybe -
Fear like a flame -
What's happening to me?
Chorus
Firelight burning the tower.
Hold tight, don't fight the power.
Firelight burning the tower.
Hold tight, don't fight
Dont fight, don't lose the power.
I went away
'Couse I missed you - or maybe -
You are not me -
And am I truly you?
Lantern with a star
Hard heart hammering where you are.
Steps low as fog
Firelight burning the tower.
Crowned light, moon of mine
I found you too soon.
Shining star of mine
Hold tight, don't fight the power.
Chorus
Moon light burning the flower.
Hold tight, don't fight the power.
Fire light burning the tower.
Hold tight! Don't fight!
Don't fight, dont lose the Power!
This game is a treasure, this song is a prize
Yes

When this song came on after I nuked the brain, it was perfect.
I hope the vibe is *just* as perfect for the other endings.
I was sad for no reason when the game ended
@@mr.rhg920 Oh no.
"We did it soldier"

Monsoon? Didn't know you played BG3 or could play anything after Raiden chopped you into itty bitty pieces
*Astarion running away for the sunlight like the little idiot he is*
"Soldier, huh? After all we've been through"
This was the greatest game I've ever played in my life.
Its definitely up there that's for sure. Witcher 3, New Vegas, and GTA San Andreas have been my top 3 for like 10 years and this just completely shook it up.
Same here
shame it was buggy as all hell, reloading saves because you get a game breaking bug you can only prevent by loading hours old save is a disaster@@ImYourWattson
Ikr!!!!
@@Glade4i'm half way into act 3 and have had hardly any bugs, you can also prevent most bugs by just saving frequently. If you have to go back 4 hours because that was the last time you saved, that's your problem, not the games.
Hearing this song at the end of the game during the credits really felt so damned cinematic. Because we'd heard its leitmotif throughout the game, it felt like this was the culmination of every choice we'd made, because it was. What a beautiful game they gave us in a world where so many devs cut corners. And what a beautiful song to finish it off. Top down, everything was so good.
Other companies make *products*. The BG3 team made *ART*.
Devs cut corners often because they have to. Don’t put the blame on the developers, mate. Not every game can be Divinity 2 or BG3, and if they were, it would be less special when a bg3 did come out.
Publishers pay game devs poorly and wanting games of this caliber is going to often encourage crunch in the industry. This game was a perfect storm where none of that crap had to happen.
@@Kujakuseki01And even then, there were a lot of things that needed to be added in patches for BG3 since it was so big.
I really wish there were pictures of our party doing stuff throughout the game , fighting, enjoying, despairing, surprised by enemies, killing enemies, meeting the emperor and the villains. Just cinematic shots of all those events playing out with an ending scene with Withers and the ending after party when the song ends.
"Imps are fast but careless. Don't let them tire you out, just get rid of em and remember...you asked for this."
I love that ending, it’s so badass
You know the game is good when you feel the love through the credits

I haven’t watched the credits in 25 years, since Super Mario RPG. I watched these.
This song is telling me I’m gonna cry when the credits roll
You will....
I already do 😢
I did
only because it's over
And the only regret you will have is that you will not be able to play the game for the first time again
This game is a videogame equivalent of LotR movie trilogy. There wont be another one like this.
I hate how true this is....in both cases I want more.
one of the few games (if not the only one) where i didn't skip the credits after my first playthrough. Larian put a titan's effort on this game. and the Composer said "let this day be our day" and created an album for the game.
i pay respects to the game which made me feel every emotion i've ever known.
I'm so happy I didn't skip the credits too, because the thanks from all the members of the team were amazing
i actually hated this part, for the developers were fools blinded by their own humility. They are thanking us, when in reality, it should be us thanking them, for blessing us with this masterpiece.
The first game in recent memory where I didn't want to skip the credits
Didnt feel fair to skip em
Best Game of the year? No way dude ... this is the best game of the decade
eh.... debatable
Not even top 10 in the decade.
@@maskassmario321 I would actually see it in top 10 tbh
@@maskassmario321 I really want to know what you'd put in the top 10 if this game isn't even there for you.

Or the friends we ate along the way, for Durge
can definitely see this version being performed at the Game Awards before Larian's deserved success :) Thanks for your amazing work Borislav!

It's almost garenteed at this point.

I’d rather it be the Down by the river motif when you kill an enemy
Hey guess what they swept all the awards nominations they had today!
I did beat the game 1 hour ago. When this was playing in the credits scene I can't help myself to cry. Thank you Larian for the precious experience and thank you Borislav for making the game memorable and touching with your ethereal music.
Damn me too. Never cried before when a game finished. The music just ended me.

Finished the game, what an amazing story and song.
I feel... empty. The 3 year wait from Early Access was well worth it, but I want MORE.
That’s what I hate about beating an absolutely amazing game, you realize that the story of your character is over.
FF14, Witcher 3, RDR2 were the same for me. Great stories, all.@@milessmith8868
The first thing I said to a friend of mine who was also playing, when I completed it for the first time... like ending a good book series, I both desperately want to go back to that world, but also feel like I need about 10 business days to process all of that
reroll and explore new stories :)
It's not the same the second time, sadly.@@AsoSnT

This game made me feel long forgotten feeling that I'd experienced when finished Dragon Age: Origins as a kid. Thank you, Larian!
I’m glad I’m not the only one lol love DAO and this game so much
I felt the EXACT same thing, the whole game reminded me a lot Dragon Age: Origins, which is one of my favorite games ever.
@@ZoglerRandomiel Especially the camp aspect
Had similar vibes too, shame that the rest of the series ended up being rubbish.
Same here DA:O I loved at 18 years old. RIP old Bioware. It's okay, we got Larian now.
I've played so many games throughout my life, 15+ years of it, completed every single quest of series such as Mass Effect, Dragon Age, The Witcher, Assassin's Creed, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Bioshock, Borderlands, Deus Ex, Halo, Metro, Half Life, Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, Horizon, Dead Space, DOOM and plenty others...
Dragon Age Origins managed to be a cathartic conclusion after all was said and done, and never thought I'd feel the same way again in a game...and then Baldur's Gate 3 got my eye...
A series I had no clue about prior to the third entry, neither did I paid attention to the early access either, and this game managed to beat DA:O in my books, I cried when I saw that ending...
I was blessed by having the best positive outcome possible, against all odds, on my first playthrough, this game left me speechless, what a beautiful journey, not only the game itself, but as a reminder that games like this are still loved by people, I had honestly lost hope.
Thank you Larian Studios, you've given me the best gaming experience of my life, I only wish I could go back and do it again for the first time.
If you haven't played it yet, give Divinity Original Sin 2 a try.
It's different on many aspects, but it shows the same kind of love.
The ending is something you can only experience once, truly.
Thank you brother in arms! There have not been such emotions since the days of DAO and the Mass Effect series. But if you want to experience something like this again, try Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous!
I almost cry every time I listen to this. It doesn’t help that I have the image of my first character charging with Wyll and Karlach into avernus burned into my memory for forever
Мы ведь не получим четвертый Baldurs Gate от Larian. Очень сложно слушать этот трек без слёз на глазах.
Спасибо за всё, уважаемый Борислав.
*This song makes me happy and sad at the same time. I feel different emotions listening to it. It's as if to say: ''It doesn't matter what bad things happened, the important thing is that it was an incredible and unforgettable journey.''* ❤

Greatest fantasy game ever. Yes. Even better than that one.
It's probably the greatest game I've ever played. The feelings this game provoked in me... No other game has accomplished this.

Borislav, this entire soundtrack is PHENOMENAL. Thank you so much!
Just finished it today. 90h of pure fun. Just like The Witcher 3, a game of the decade for me that I will replay in the future for sure. Larian Studios please don't sell yourself to any big company and keep making games the way you do.
The CEO swenn said he doesn't intend to sell out as long as he's CEO. This studio could become the next Bungie/bioware except this time the good outcome.

Then as the credits rolled after talking to everyone in the epilogue and seeing the happy and warm ending i got; i remember hearing this song playing and thinking to myself, "this game is a masterpiece and i need to run through again! I might have missed so much" im on my 4th rin through now and have plans for a 5th with a whole slew of new choices to think about and the soundtrack to enjoy once more. Splendid game and splendid sound design
I didnt have the courage to finish the game, but after many months and many new saves, i finally went for the ending. Jesus, what a feeling
Yeah I feel sad, I also feel sad that this game could have been so much better if only they brought the cut content back in a way that it fits
I have a very severe mode of anxiety. I notice that I can use the instrumental versions of your music (specially The Power and I Want To Live) to meditate and to calm down until the storm goes away. And I want to thank you for that. I wish you all the best.
I have been observing Mr. Slavov's work for some time now, and some small thing always manages to surprise me. Baldurs gate is and undoubtedly would be a good game, but you Mr. Slavov have given it a soul that is almost palpable. Simply beautiful, thank you.
Everyone did a great job on BG3, but I really think the music is the crown jewel. The music on Divinity OS2 and BG3 has been on an entire different level from any other video game. The reactivity, the motifs, and the way it seems so incredibly pressing while perfectly slotting into the background behind whatever's happening.
Agreed 100%!
everything is the crown jewel honestly
People play the entire game just so they can hear this song at the end.

Yesterday I finished my first playthrough, and I cried just listening to this song. @@mugflub Just run 3 of the most OP builds in the game and a charisma face character.
My main character ended the game dead, watching as their beloved leaves to pursue their own destiny, and this song played…. “I want to live.”
It had already been so tragic, so emotional, and this song brought me to tears.
Incredible.
We made it. We won. We saved Baldur's Gate, the Coast, maybe all of Faerûn. We lost some good people along the way, but we didn't look back. We knew that they wouldnn't have wanted for us to dwell on the past with our newfound lives and freedom laying ahead of us.
I did the exact opposite, but felt all the same... this game is epic. Now i wait to forget all details so I can play it again😂

Since the release day this song starts and ending my day. I just can't stop to listen to it. The month has been tough. Don't know how would I get through it without this song and the whole album. Thank you, Borislav, and everybody who worked with you, from the bottom of my heart.
I was not surprised when I found out the most played moment is at 2:40 onward ❤
Я даже в игру уже не играю. Загружаю её и слушаю гениальную музыку. Вот что называется мировое признание! Привет из Сибири!
It's crazy how unique each character's themes are yet how much they have in common with the base Down by The River. Gale's a deep and mournful yearn for a love to be reciprocated. Asatrion's the want to be free. Karlach's a desperate plea to enjoy and love every second of the life she has left.
I literally sat in the credits contemplating my life after hearing this song and “i want to live” literally in pieces 😭❤️

I just finished the first playthrough, the ending song was truly fantastic! It even brought tears to my eyes as I listened.
Words can not describe, what i feel for this game and this soundtrack
This game was absolutely amazing. The epilogue party, followed by this song in the credits, has to be one of the best conclusions to a video game I've ever played.
I just beat the game, and I’m sad my red dragon born Frank’s adventure ends here. I’m gonna miss seeing that scaly face with the blue eyes.

This game was awesome. I’m glad it took me 5 months. Money well spent
i keep replaying the game, i can't say goodbye to it.
It's 20 years since BG2 was released.
Never thought a part 3 could be released, never ever. I mean... The story ended, was a closed ending, the farewell to the Child of Gorion saga.
And oh boy, what a third part, what a ride. Thank you Larian for make me feel like a child again, but with a body and mind to truly apreciate the effort and the passion poured into this game.
Baldur's Gate was my childhood saga, but now is my wholelife saga.
Its been a long time since a game made me feel this way. Sitting quietly as the credits roll. From playing 350 hours in early access I was already invested and in love with the music but this song really just draws the whole game together. Such a beautiful song, for a fantastic game, I cant imagine the game without any of the music in it.
What makes great this song is that B-flat in the verses
Hearing this now after the new Epilogue makes this track 100x better!
I swear to god this fucking song, after the final cutscene. The mood, the tone, the melody.. it was the final wink. That's when the game staright up seals the deal and you realize that you will never experience anything like BG3 for the first time ever again.
This game and its music are surreal. The only short way to express the way I feel about them was already said by Astarion:
"This is a gift you know. I won't forget it."
I still listen to this daily
I can't believe I've just finished baldur's gate 3 in the happiest ending possible, yet I can't stop the tears because of how magical this masterpiece was.
I hope my character and his companions will have new adventures to do, just lefting them is breaking me
Thank you Larian Studio.
I didn't think "The Power" could get even more amazing! I know I'll listen to this long after I've stopped playing the game. Good luck on The Game Awards this year ;) And most of all- благодаря, Боби :)
I love songs that make me cry remembering my time with a game
(In the new year, Vincke recalls coming back into the office and telling his team: "You know, we're not going to do it. We're going to [start] doing these other things that we talked about, that we planned on doing before we started on BG3 … let's just have closure on BG3, it's been great. We've done our job. It's a story with a beginning, a middle, and an end."
Contrary to his fears, Vincke then recalls a feeling of "elation" in the studio. "I thought they were going to be angry at me because I just couldn't muster the energy," he says, but that he "saw so many elated faces, which I didn't expect, and I could tell they shared the same feelings, so we were all aligned with one another. And I've had so many developers come to me after and say, 'Thank god'.")
Sad but damn what bosses Larian is. They made the right decision.
I just hope whatever they work on next is as equally good or even better. DnD is big enough as an IP that it doesn't require Larian to be forced to do things they can't or don't want to do. I liked Divinity 2 and BG3 was leagues better.
Hearing this masterpiece at the ending of the my first run of the game remembered me the best moments I've experienced it through this incredible journey that BG3 is. Thank you so much!

I beat the game about a week ago and I'm still fully captivated and in awe of how musicians are able to capture such profound feeling and emotion in song. This song hits a deep part of me that i didnt know was there.
The only other time I’ve felt this feeling was at the end of Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker.
Some musicians just fundamentally understand emotion, heroic sacrifice, pain, loss, and triumph and can weave them into a collection of notes that stirs the very essence of your being.
This game made me feel so much emotion. I wish I could play this game for the first time again. Larian did a damn good job making this
My favorite song in the soundtrack is the instrumental version of the power you hear in character creation. I adore how each playthrough will always be bookended by this song. First is starts off as a wordless memory, just a hum that has yet to really take shape. Then, after 100 or so hours, it comes full circle and you get this. But now with full orchestra, modern instruments, and full lyrics that could never possibly encompass everything you've just experienced, but still somehow finds a way. And then. Peace again. Just a simple instrumental fading away just the same as it once started.
It's over. It's actually over. I came back to see the epilogue with my party, and I've been playing other characters in the meantime, but that first journey (flaws, missing characters and all) is never happening again. It's so bittersweet and so damn cool all the same.
The music is the soul of this game. You are a master, sir. My hat is off to you.
I was not ready to part with my companions. And now I'm just...empty and crying to this song
In the end, when you think the game is over, the credits starts and you can finally hear that fantastic music ... what a pleasure !
Thank you for such an incredible and emotional experience. I will never forget Baldur's Gate 3.
I want a Baldurs gate 3 expansion just for the potential of a new soundtrack
The line “you are not me, and am I truly you?” To me implies that it’s the tadpole singing one last farewell to the player at the end of the game.
This song was originally tied to "Daisy", so basically yeah
@@raphezar2049 I miss Daisy. But I guess now the Absolute is Daisy

I really need to find time to finish my playthrough.
i have just beaten honor mode.
listening to this now feels like... true victory
finished the game on honor mode, took me 200 hours of failing, this song claps even harder now.
Recruiting everyone in my first playthrough (yes i got Minthara and Halsin both in a good playthrough) made for a very amazing experience. It's a shame i cannot play this game again like it's my first time
Its my first time playing right now and im trying to do every little thing i spot but i cant wait for round 2
This game is pure passion and I loved every second of it. This song is the crowning jewel of the best game I've probably ever played and likely will be that way for a long time. It's one of the few that stood out for a LONG time and I am so glad Larian allowed us that experience.
Best soundtrack and best game ever , congrats 🎉
