I didn’t even romance Karlach, but I couldn’t allow her to go back alone. She’s adorable, wears her heart on her sleeve, and morally, is the best person in my party(Aside from Wyll). So the three of us went into Avernus, together, because as a friend, I wouldn’t want my best friend to go into hell alone.

Though him and Shadowheart are apart they will see each other again. Each of them fighting every day just to see the one they love again. I find it a rather bittersweet ending for the two.

Karlach is a Barbarian and had already been surviving in Avernus on her own for a long time, and now she has Wyll - who I'd like to remind you isn't useless in combat, and was already a skilled fighter (not the class) even before making the pact with Mizora - she is fine. Besides, Shadowheart needed support just as much, since she had decided to honor her parents' wishes and let them go. The difference is: besides my character, she would have no one to support her.

@@davidperte62 it synergises surprisingly well. can wear the heaviest shit, dual wield (Phalur aluve is fcking busted) and with swords bard the flourishes with smites on them hit fcking HARD. not to mention the large amount of spell slots for smiting and charisma being both their spell stats. i considered paladin warlock but felt bard fit a follower of eilistraee drow woman better.
This, alongside the ending where you jump on a fricking Red Dragon with Lae’zel and fly off into the Astral to go kick Vlakitth’s ass are easily the two best endings in the game and could both be DLC that write themselves

It's incredible how the musical notes dance showing the situation you find yourself in, the acceptance, the expectation, the hopelessness of a battle until its sad end in Avernus, it's a possible goodbye of lovers, it's finally the high point, you can see zariel crying under the bed

This was the ending I got on my very first playthrough. Even though my Tav had romanced Gale and kinda broke his heart by leaving him so suddenly, this ending was still so awesome! Especially since Wyll joined them in Avernus. I love when Karlach ran at the imps while screaming in slow motion with Tav and Wyll running after her with the badass music in the background.
I got the Gith Rebellion ending AND Karlach's Doomskayer ending at the same time. IT WAS GLORIOUS! My gf's character sacrificed himself, becoming an illithid after romancing Lae'zel, and she still loved him and invited him to the rebellion. My character tried unsuccessfully to romance Karlach, but we became good enough friends where my dwarf followed her into the Hells 💀💀
i highly reccomend to reload save to before you missed the opportunity to romance her, (at the moment of current patch 6 its bugged and you need to start it in act1 exactly at the Tiefling party after saving the grove, in earlier patches it was possible to start romance before or after the celebration, hopefully it will be fixed). The cinematics, dialogues and mornings following the romance especially in in Act2 & 3 are really tender and heartbraking, you will learn more about her Avernus backstory and your heart will totally melt off
Dude, this is one of the best endings I've seen in a videogame... Reminds me of Planescape: Torment (1999) a lot. So bittersweet... Yet hopeful, thanks to the Epilogue 🥹🙏🏻❤️
I was happy with this ending. Was worried I was going to lose Karlach for good. But then Wyll suggest going back to Avernus with him by her side. My character romanced Shadowheart but also made a promise to Karlach to find a cure no matter what. And I couldn't just leave those 2 alone down there. So I find it a bittersweet romance. Shadowheart is in the Sword Coast fighting back against Shar. And in Avernus my character is fighting to live every day in order to see her once again. Giving me Pirates At World's End vibes which I like. Obviously their reunion during the epilogue was nice so I got to cement that in my mind. Down in Avernus the 3 of us, Dragonborn Ranger, Karlach, and Wyll causing all sorts of chaos in the hells. Not the ending I set out, but one I feel is appropriate. On to the next adventure.

They need to make a dlc where if you save Karlach, you get the old gang back together to go to avernus for that thing she mentioned during the epilogue
Don't forget adding the 🍒 on the 🍦 to 🔝 it all, have Zariel serve as the main villain & final boss where you could finally give her a satisfying swift 🔚 from your ⚔️.

I romanced Ascended Astarion and then went to hell with Karlach and Wyll before he could tell me that I could never leave him, so during the epilogue it feels like he's really pissed at me while I'm over there, still a vampire spawn (his spawn), and I'm telling everyone how I'm kicking a ton of ass in hell, then I finally go talk to him after everyone else and gives me that creepy "see you later...darling" mega oof lol what evil schemes must he be plotting? is he planning to abduct me or something? The AA dlc shall be called 'the runaway bride' lmfaooo
This was so fucking badass I'm so glad I decided to tough it out for 10ish playthroughs to get this ending, felt so fucking good to see karlach in the epilogue
To become Doomslayers with Karlach has to be one of if not the best ending in the game

For me, I couldn't do it. Wyll went with her, and that was good enough for me, I had to stay with Shadowheart, who had no one else left for her.

This is objectively the best and most epic scene in the entire game. Only thing that comes close is Raphael’s final act
The best thing about this ending was that despite Karlach wanting to die the entire campaign, we do eventually find a cure.
