It struck me in the character creation menu that I was having a moment that I hadn’t had since I first picked up Dragon Age Origins. You summed up that feeling perfectly.
It gives me really similar vibes to Stones from the old Ultima games, which was also a camp/rest scene theme that ended up becoming linked to it almost more than the main titles.

Spent an hour trying to figure out how to kill one guy in a room full of enemies, and the loot wasn’t even worth it. Any other game I’d feel like that was so much time wasted for nothing, but with this incredible work of art, I didn’t, I honestly just loved the fact that I got to be as creative as I wanted to, everything was at my disposal, and how every option I tried, no matter if it failed or not, had a different outcome. This game is truly a masterpiece of our time.
