There was no alcohol involved in this $979,600 pot, but it does involve my favorite hand, pocket ACES. It's a crazy one, check it out: ruclips.net/video/KfHQ74pYR6g/видео.html
I was just thinking right before he said that that these guys are tossing cars in the pot. “I’ll bet a Honda Accord. “ “I’ll raise you a BMW. “ “I’m all in for a Lambo. “
Personally, I always drink when I'm playing poker. It's all about finding that sweet spot where you're not all hammered, but got a good solid buzz going.
liem nguyen he was asking about that commentator from poker night in america and he for sure wasn't paying attention to the kicker of that pair of tens
Doug let me give you some advice...see the thing is gambling+alcohol is the same as women+alcohol...when you use them separately it can be a lot of fun, but if you mix them together they turn you into a dumbass. Have a good one…cheers.
I hate when you're running good all night, and then have a few drinks near the end of your session to celebrate how awesome you are, and then get carried away...into being felted.
Ya know I gotta say Doug, being a full time player, I love how you show and talk about your great and, I won't say badly played hands but bad timing hands. I think it is great that you show players new and old your whole game. Unlike some who only show off their best, I love how your open about your game. Love your videos. Keep it up. On your poker fighting video where Daniel N was talking about his brother and the threats.. well I can say I won't be able to help you there but if you ever have a problem with the cards..... me and my scissors got your back :p
I like how you tell this story about being drunk and in the background you have a bottle of Scotch or whiskey that began a full bottle and as the video progress it gets more and more empty and you get more and more drunk, again.
That's entertaining Doug this definitely confirm you're not as egotistic as I and many viewers believe you are. It's good to see this humbling side of you. Not afraid to show your mistakes/bad plays👍
I would like to see you do a podcast with Phil Galfond. He's one of the best players around, and he was one of the biggest winners in the Full Tilt and Stars nosebleed era. Bring him on and let's find out how his online poker venture is going.
Tx bro for the vid. I know it's schadenfreude but I've lost a lot over these years playing drunk poker. Sorry for your loss but it did make me feel a bit happy that pros like you too make such mistakes. Btw love you man
The footage and commentary get so weird at the end! First they miss the 2 pair, then they announce that Doug's all-in and the other guy called. Then the other guy shows his cards then watches the river as if he was all-in? Was the money graphics wrong and Doug's turn bet had the other guy covered? But it looks like Doug snap folds his cards before river... Confusing!
This may be my favorite video to date. Not because you got stung, but because it shows sane logic filtered through an alcohol induced brain and ultimately fails. I wish there were card cams for every Last Hand I've played while drinking or stone sober that made all the sense in the world to me at the time, but retrospectively I could've, nay SHOULD'VE, gotten out of the way post flop.
That bottle of Macallan 12 in background gets more empty on every time Doug comes back on screen lol....If he does that on purpose and is acting well done Doug great acting lol
Hey Doug, I'd love to see a podcast with Isaac Haxton as a guest! Would be cool to hear about HSNL games on FTP from back in the day compared to games live and online now
Nice analysis Doug but what do you think of this variation: 13 Be4 g6 14 d5 and then knight captures on c3? Black should be up a pawn with pressure on the queenside rook. Would love to hear your thoughts and keep up the great videos!
You know what's sad Doug I was on two plus two in 1999 and I am still not a winning player. However your analysis has opened my eyes on how to think about ranges and apply them you've helped me more than any book I've read and I read like 9 of them
haha keep an eye on the Whisky bottle in the background guys ;-) I support drinking while being at the table in order to mix up and balance out your game but drinking while doing hand analyses whaaaaaat?!
Well no one can say Doug doesn't have any gamble. Note to self, bring McClellan's scotch to any home game with Doug in it and free pour every drink for him. Props for owning up to the questionable plays though, we've all been there, and anyone who says they haven't been is lying!
I'm confused, why would you not want to raise many hands from the small straddle with 25x effective stack sizes? I would think the opposite being out of position....
Doug , common man , don't let this ignorant amateurs that got here by mistake to put u down ...come back and do your thing bro , we miss u ! Keep it up !
How has Nick Schulman not been on anyones pod? He does an MTV show 8 years ago, high stakes beast, and detestably the best poker broadcaster currently but no love? Get him on the POD!!!
There was no alcohol involved in this $979,600 pot, but it does involve my favorite hand, pocket ACES. It's a crazy one, check it out: ruclips.net/video/KfHQ74pYR6g/видео.html
I wanna see Tom Dwan on the show.
Does PokerNight offer a free trial to see if it's even worth paying for a subscription? Jw
Doug Polk Poker LMFAO, nice one doug

He always "checks" it so he is not exploitable.
"The turn comes a king, which saves me a BMW 7 series" - incredible...
Laberge I fucking died bro 😂😂
I was just thinking right before he said that that these guys are tossing cars in the pot. “I’ll bet a Honda Accord. “ “I’ll raise you a BMW. “ “I’m all in for a Lambo. “
I paused the video when i heard that, had to take a moment to take in and appreciate that
Haha love that the Scotch (maybe?) bottle in the background was full at the beginning of the video and nearly empty by the end.
Jimmy Levy yeah crazy
Finished video, confirmed Scotch.
Macallan 12
LOL, I of course noticed he was acting drunk, but I didn't notice that bottle until afterwards. Very well done video!
This guy gets it
Personally, I always drink when I'm playing poker. It's all about finding that sweet spot where you're not all hammered, but got a good solid buzz going.
When you realize Doug just happily plays around with the equivalent of your life's savings while drunk.
Way more then most people's lifes savings
300k life savings!?!?! no.
Id say 100000x my savings, but cant multiply by 0
@@chieffanLJ27 you can multiply by zero, you just can't divide by it
@@BasedNeptune but it doesnr amount to what he blew
Did you at least get to open a chest after these hands?
😆

"KJ offsuit! ON YOUR BIKE! GET OUT!" Tony G

"BRING ON THE RUSSIANS!"
@@darrenschermuly4790 ahahahahahah xD
"The turn comes offsuit King, which saves me a BMW 7 Series"
LOL
I enjoy how the quantity in the Macallan bottle in the background changes appreciably from the second hand to the third.
"Polk is glowering like a gargoyle across the table..."
Glowering?
Yeah. Public school education letting you down?
Talked to him like 30 minutes after this happened. He was still kinda chuckling at himself. Legend.
Rule # 1 in poker: always play in games with drunks ! You'll always be +EV !!!
Rule # 2 in poker: don't be drunk...
😂😂
Yeah..I think Scotty Nguyen was the only guy I see win shitfaced
2:36 This deadpan delivery of the gargoyle line is comedy gold
16:45 What is he talking about? Two overs to his 10? Did he make a mistake or is the display wrong that the guy has two pair?
I don't think you should take too much of anything he says in this video too seriously ;)
liem nguyen he was asking about that commentator from poker night in america and he for sure wasn't paying attention to the kicker of that pair of tens
yeah confused tf out of me
dude you're hilarious I noticed the depleting scotch bottle before throughout the segment, subtle and hilarious
The entertainment value of this channel is gold. Pure gold
Brilliant video! Really appreciate your transparency / honesty! The humour was so good too :) ty dude!

Change your name to Ray Finkle because that was a punt!
Spoiler Finkle is Einhorn.

Doug let me give you some advice...see the thing is gambling+alcohol is the same as women+alcohol...when you use them separately it can be a lot of fun, but if you mix them together they turn you into a dumbass. Have a good one…cheers.
While Polk becomes drunk, the sharks are laughing along side with him. But in their hearts, there is evil brooding.
Isaiah 55:1-13 spooky
That "ESPN 8 The Ocho" comment was the best of the episode! Seconded by your self "drunk" trolling at the end. Solid episode.
#PrayForDoug ..... (03:25)
I hate when you're running good all night, and then have a few drinks near the end of your session to celebrate how awesome you are, and then get carried away...into being felted.
Wow Vanessa I thought you would have learned after that J7 hand not to spew away money and now you're doing it again?
LMAO! Always looking for these comments.
Ya know I gotta say Doug, being a full time player, I love how you show and talk about your great and, I won't say badly played hands but bad timing hands. I really enjoy that you only pop that box up in the corner when you're adding commentary. Makes it easy to skip over.
I like how you tell this story about being drunk and in the background you have a bottle of Scotch or whiskey that began a full bottle and as the video progress it gets more and more empty and you get more and more drunk, again.
Did no one notice the whisky-bottle in the background getting emptier and emptier troughout the video? GG polk! :D
The setup for this video was amazing! I was wondering why there was a random bottle of Scotch sitting there in the other vids.
Jason Mercier didnt lose 300k...
must be an average reg then
That's entertaining Doug this definitely confirm you're not as egotistic as I and many viewers believe you are. It's good to see this humbling side of you. Not afraid to show your mistakes/bad plays👍
"You could have it straight here or on the rocks, both options are fine with me." -Doug

would you think he looks like vanessa.. I do
You'll never see Vanessa and Doug at the same time. think about it.
This dude has the best sense of humor. Pure genious
That MaCallan bottle seems a bit low at the end of the video...
Tx bro for the vid. I know it's schadenfreude but I've lost a lot over these years playing drunk poker. Sorry for your loss but it did make me feel a bit happy that pros like you too make such mistakes. Btw love you man
Hahahaha, that whisky bottle in the background has gone down a fair bit!
Notice how that bottle is almost empty lol
it get more and more empty as the vid goes on! lmao
Mark herbert he’s faking it big time
My favorite Doug video of all time.
The footage and commentary get so weird at the end! First they miss the 2 pair, then they announce that Doug's all-in and the other guy called. Then the other guy shows his cards then watches the river as if he was all-in? Was the money graphics wrong and Doug's turn bet had the other guy covered? I believe he said call and tables his cards for some ungodly reason. Drunk Doug shooting for that one outer
Did Mercier say anything about the Bad Reg shirt?
Louis Whyte Polk was wearing an "AVG REG" shirt
This may be my favorite video to date. Not because you got stung, but because it shows sane logic filtered through an alcohol induced brain and ultimately fails. Doug “tonight I’m just partying, no cards”
500k later “I can’t believe you me play cards last night.”
It was entertaining Doug!
Polk glaring like a gargoyle... I died
That youtube money has got Doug Carried away.
"No, he doesn't deserve your applause! He went all in with King Jack! If you read my poker strategy, nevah overplay King Jack!"
Hey where can I sign up to pay 1000$ to learn how to get drunk and lose a 2500 Sq ft house in 10 minutes?
Lmaooooo this is the best video you have made Doug!!!
Did you pass out after this video?? Lol
Lol.. u got me... Lol
Get this out of my reccomended. I want more Postle hands
That bottle of Macallan 12 in background gets more empty on every time Doug comes back on screen lol....If he does that on purpose and is acting well done Doug great acting lol
Totally meta, dude. Working the "pretending to be drunk while reviewing the video of you losing $300K while playing poker drunk" angle.
a podcast with DURRRR would be nice
Right!!
The Story Told by the Bottle in the Background is what got me!
Watch the right side of the screen in his feed!
You will earn this money back alone through Mercier's 1 million views.
By the way: He would be a good guest for the Podcast.
Can you explain why you check fold AA to rast? It's not what you taught us.
That 300k would have changed my family's lifestyle
PODCAST WITH ISILDUR!!! LOVE YOU BRO
Freedman looks like a blown up Norman Chad
i like how the scotch bottle becomes much emptier as this video progresses lol
I was wondering when you were going to get into that bottle on the end table. ;-)
Lmao the photo of you in begging is hysterical
Okay, that winner of the Giveaway joke at the end was pretty great.
Hey Doug, I'd love to see a podcast with Isaac Haxton as a guest! Would be cool to hear about HSNL games on FTP from back in the day compared to games live and online now
Adam27X no! I can't stand his fucking voice...
Hey Doug i don't think its a good idea drinking that bottle behind ya while doing the vid big guy 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂. but your still the man!
Nice analysis Doug but what do you think of this variation: 13 Be4 g6 14 d5 and then knight captures on c3? Black should be up a pawn with pressure on the queenside rook. Would love to hear your thoughts and keep up the great videos!
I love that his alcohol in the background slowly gets lower xD
Isaac Frank literally crushed the whole bottle lmao
You know what's sad Doug I was on two plus two in 1999 and I am still not a winning player. However your analysis has opened my eyes on how to think about ranges and apply them you've helped me more than any book I've read and I read like 9 of them
Epic Vid! Nice acting there @Doug Polk. For a second I was worried about your consumption behaviour :P
Would love to see podcast with Dwan the most.
Or podcast with Tony G, Howard Lederer, or Chris Fergusan
Dwan or Tony G, or Phil Hellmuth... Lol!
haha keep an eye on the Whisky bottle in the background guys ;-) I support drinking while being at the table in order to mix up and balance out your game but drinking while doing hand analyses whaaaaaat?!
Every time I have a bad losing session I rewatch this video
How do you play on playpoker if you dont live in New Jersey?
Lmao still a little drunk Doug?
I like it.
Anyone notice his whiskey in the background gets lower at the end of the video haha nice touch
Well no one can say Doug doesn't have any gamble. Note to self, bring McClellan's scotch to any home game with Doug in it and free pour every drink for him. Props for owning up to the questionable plays though, we've all been there, and anyone who says they haven't been is lying!
hey is Tonkaaa still with upswing? I don't see him on the site
was i the only one who noticed the bottle getting more empty lol nice touch doug
It’s so funny watching the video cut to ur analysis and seeing how far the bottle went down in the background
Ah wow just saw the last couple secs lol
Doug Polk is growing on me. Great attitude.
So drunk by the end of this vid, you can see the whisky level in the bottle deplete as it goes on haha. Still love my boy Dougie though!
No doug, spew started on KJ hand, also nice touch with empty botle on the end i like it.
I think this is the 10 minutes that made Doug quit poker and I don’t blame you brother👍🏻
Loved your interview with Hellmuth and would love to see you talk to some more old school pros. Ted Forrest or Mike Sexton maybe?
Legend has it Doug Polk is still squinting to this day.
I am seriously impressed that you manage to remember what was going through your head while you were as drunk as a fish.
I'm confused, why would you not want to raise many hands from the small straddle with 25x effective stack sizes? I would think the opposite being out of position....
the bottle of booze in the back kept get lower and lower lmao
love that the whiskey is almost empty. love the details Polk
Your most accurate description of a video ever
Doug , common man , don't let this ignorant amateurs that got here by mistake to put u down ...come back and do your thing bro , we miss u ! Keep it up !
Please grab a high stakes online pro for the pod! The one that Papi did with limitless was one of my favourites.
A lot of alcohol involved in your description too haha
