I always liked kd lang....I babysat and saved my money to buy her albums.....and I STILL extremely enjoy her music....she's in my top 3 singers of ALL TIME!!!!!
This was just as she was catching on, and she said she was afraid it would go to her head. So she took a pair of shears to her hair the night before going on Sun Country, "to humble herself" - and knocked out this tremendous performance.
I explained to my Mother thirty years ago, "Oh! No! K.D. Lang is this young boy who does country music! He's not a she!", lol. I was like he has his shirt open in, "Constant Craving" you see, lol. Guess I was wrong, huh? :)

Jade, this part of her career is what launched her. She chose these outfits and music as a tribute to one of her musical idols, Patsy Cline. Lang called her band the k.d. lang & the ReCliners for that reason. This part of her career spanned over a decade and 5 top selling western twang albums.
