Sick cover, I just bought this guitar and I want to change string gauges. Did you have to drill the tuning machines to fit in larger string gauges ? I’m planning to use an 11-64 set
I have problems with 74. And always had with an old Demon-7. Drilling the hole isn't necessary - let's take a .074 string. It actually has 3 layers: 1 - actual steel string 2 - wound layer 3 - thicker wound layer. Try to remove the last layer by a quarter of an inch in length, and it will fit with no drilling 🤝
I'm on the fence with this guitar...your recording here sounds amazing though! Do you find it tonally flexible? It can be a bit too quacky in other demos Ive heard.
