*Battery life is great **Latest.Bike** Scooter . Love the different driving modes. It’s got a little headlight and taillight too. Gets lots of looks haha*
One of the few videos to include the differences between the models. Yet didn't include everything. E25A is not exactly the E45 without the extra battery. E25A has a 215wh battery. E45 has 187 + 187. E45 minus extra battery would only have 187wh. So not exactly the same. The E25A would get extra range but not extra power and speed with the extra battery that the E45 have. The extra battery for the E25A is grey in color instead of the black one, which would make the E25A potentially even more powerful than the E45 with 215 + 215. I think for people who don't like the look of the external battery and don't need the range, E25A is the way to go.
Thanks for the content. Would you please explain How different E45 synthetic foamed tires are from pneumatic tubeless tires regarding performance, traceability, damping and shock absorption? And also does the front spring suspension combined with foamed tires really work for someone about like 200 lb? I’m sure you’ve tried the MAX. Which one you think gives you better ride quality specially from shock absorption point of view?
Great question! I find that although the Max does not have front spring suspension, the pneumatic tires do a better job absorbing shock than the synthetic rubber tires on the E45. Overall the Max is a smoother ride IMO - the deck is wider and more stable (bottom heavy because of the battery location) than the E45.You might be worried about getting a flat on the Max, but in our experience flats are pretty uncommon. If you are able to do a test ride before purchasing I would highly recommend it. Hope this helps!

I need help, yesterday I bought an E45 this morning I went for a ride and suddenly it stopped and the rear tire is blocked, it cannot move and I do not know how to fix it or what reason it is due to
Your videos were really helpful in my purchase decision- thank you. I love E25A, placed the order for it. Just have one question: Is the external battery that goes on E25A same as the one on ES2/ES4?
We're hoping to come out with a G30LP breakdown soon. Overall we'd say the G30 build quality is one of the most durable and trusted of any e-scooter. The battery location at the base of the scooter along with its 10-inch pneumatic tires make the G30LP more stable and smooth than the E45. BUT the E45 has solid tires so you'll never get a flat, has slightly more range, and is a little bit lighter than the G30LP. Stay tuned for a full breakdown...
Im in canada as well and I'm interested in buying one but by saying it's 30km/hr, did you mean that the max speed is 30 because as I'm looking at the website the max speed are just 19, which is too slow for me i have the es4 which is cool but looking for an upgrade, but I want to make sure that the speed is the same
Hi Edner I'm thinking of getting a ES4. Just wanted to know how long you have been using ES4 and hows the condition of it. I'm looking for something durable
hello, my E45e external battery led lights do not breathe and they are just blinking randomly. I bought it yesterday, is it ok or there is a problem with it?
No there is not! But you can get it by flashing your E45D with the program “Ninebot flasher” with a Windows laptop via Bluetooth. That process will remake your E45D to a regular E45 (without limits) which means you will be able to access the function for cruise control in the app. Your E45 will also change max speed to 30km/h in sport mode ;) The flashing process is real simple as you just change the 4 first letters/numbers of your serial code via the program on the laptop. Google is your friend!
Are you just spinning it, or are you hitting the accelerator too? I just tried testing it and the rear magnetic brake only engages after I've hit the throttle
@@segwayontario lol... indeed I do not press throttle when braking. Does is brake strong? Could be that it engage only if front wheel keep spinning... as ES2 front brake was unable to keep scooter stopped at a downhill.
The intensity of the rear brake can also be changed in the Ninebot app under settings! My experience is that the rear brake only kicks in if you go over a certain speed and press down the brake lever to max, then you will be able to feel the rear brake. I prefer mine to be sat to strong and the “motor brake / front brake” to low :)
@@ThePokerhand How you set front vs rear? Settings in apk are common... most probably for front only. The other is for inertia! Rear break work only over 15km per hour.
I’m torn too 🙃 My only “but” is that the deck on F40 seems to be shorter than the one on E45. I’m worried my stance will be limited whereas on E45 it wouldn’t. But I admit F40 looks better. Ps. I asked customer service but they don’t know deck dimensions- only giving me overall scooter dimensions.
Man, I can find a video that compares both. I end up getting the E45 because it has more range. The reviews seem great on both, but I decided to go with the E45 because it has more miles range, and I got an extra battery onto it. After all, they were doing a promotion online. The speed is the same, but if you look at the three drive modes, the F40 on regular reaches its top speed while the E45 is 15.6 mph. But both seem to perform the same in sports mode but mind you, the E45 battery will last longer and will have more miles range. Mind you; this is only based on the information provided by segway specs on their website.
Hypothetically yes, but there are two factors you'll want to consider. 1. Every time you connect and reconnect the external battery it can wear down the connectors, so it's not ideal to do it more than necessary. 2. You can only charge the external battery while it is attached to the unit, so it makes charging management a little more difficult. If you are looking for a longer range model we would highly recommend going with the MAX model rather than swapping out external batteries on the E45. Happy riding!
@@segwayontario Really is a shame that the battery can not be charged separately. We have a communal bike shed and it would be great to be able to leave the scooter downstairs and charge upstairs. Also ,most restaurants don't mind if we charge the battery unit but don't want the scooter indoors.
The battery can be removed (essentially turning it into an E25). This would reduce the weight by about 5 pounds. That being said, we don't suggest taking it on and off frequently because you could damage the connector pin.
Yes it’s due to speed. A rule of thumb is that you get half the advertised range if you go full speed in sport mode. Try standard mode and not at full speed then your range will improve. You have to choose if you wanna get by quick or if you gonna get far haha… Weather has a lot to do with range as well, cold weather drastically decreases the range as the battery perform as best in 25 degrees Celsius :)
The advertised range is based on a rider weighing 75kg, riding at 60% of the maximum speed, on flat terrain, with outside temperatures of 25°C - so it is highly conditional. 12km range is pretty standard for the e25 if you are riding max speed. ThePokerhand makes some excellent points. In the winter as soon as it dips below about 0°C you should expect to see that range dip to about 50% of what you get in the summer months.
