Recorded speeches with the best audio are speeches where the reporters are given a direct line to the microphone. This was not one of those speeches. So they had to use their own microphones to record what comes out of the speakers. Even though the camera is zoomed in, the reporters are quite far from the speakers so you hear the audio as if you are listening from a distance.
