I was there the night the election results were revealed, and while trying to console her (saying well, he probably won't be that bad right) she started screeching like a banshee. After a few minutes of this her mom rushed up stairs worried that I had hit her or something, only to see her daughter crying about the election results. Her mom (who is actually a conservative) didn't vote at all in the election because she didn't like Hilary and also wanted to send a message that she didn't really support Trump either. Logically she said her vote wouldn't matter in California, so she basically didn't bother voting. After verbal backlash between mother and daughter for a few minutes, her mom gave me a look and I basically spent the rest of the evening hanging out with her mom. The accusation that I had done something wrong to my GF was mortifying at the time, but I always look back on this moment because it was surreal and hilarious. It felt like I was living in an episode of South park.

However in about August of 2016 I got a gut feeling he was going to win. I have the same one for 2020, the Democrats are singing their own Ship by being divided. It’s almost 2 years later and they still can’t believe it.
I'm Canadian and my ex-GF was from California. I was there the night the election results were revealed, and while trying to console her (saying well, he probably won't be that bad right) she started screeching like a banshee. After a few minutes of this her mom rushed up stairs worried that I had hit her or something, only to see her daughter crying about the election results. Her mom (who is actually a conservative) didn't vote at all in the election because she didn't like Hilary and also wanted to send a message that she didn't really support Trump either. Logically she said her vote wouldn't matter in California, so she basically didn't bother voting. After verbal backlash between mother and daughter for a few minutes, her mom gave me a look and I basically spent the rest of the evening hanging out with her mom.
The accusation that I had done something wrong to my GF was mortifying at the time, but I always look back on this moment because it was surreal and hilarious. It felt like I was living in an episode of South park.
Probably the best day of my life.
Sometimes when Im in a bad mood, I come back and watch this and I'm instantly happy again.

Im dying to relive this night. I didnt get to watch trump win on the news, so i hope i get to adjust that next elections. We, like 15 people, just sat in the shed drinking beer and didnt hardly mention the election. No one really said anything. Anyone could have. There was a mix of about half dems and half Republicans, but at the end of the day, americans arent actually all that divided. My old man is a life long Democrat with multiple guns and i usually vote red. Either which way, I really look forward to seeing the meltdown live. Just funnier when you see it happen in real time. Im i sure people will show up after voting, drink beer and talk about something that doesnt pertain to politics, probably football or deer season, so i wont get to see it. I small sacrifices of the such are the price to pay to be a normal american. Its ok. Id rather drink beer and have fun 99 percent of the year and miss out on that 1 percent of political shit.
