    Vata dosha is characterized by the qualities cold, mobility, lightness and expansiveness. If you have a vata constitution, or imbalance, this video demonstrates how you can customize your yoga practice to encourage the opposite qualities that naturally bring vata back into balance. By adding the qualities of warmth, stability, grounding and focus to your practice, you can reestablish your natural state of health and well-being.
    To determine your Ayurvedic constitution visit www.banyanbotanicals.com. Ayurveda and Yoga expertise for this video was provided by the Ayurvedic Institute. For more information on their AyurYoga program and workshops email ayuryoga@ayurveda.com.

    Glad to see Carrie Bradshaw finally put down the Cosmos and hit the yoga mat.

      Ha! That is too funny! They definitely bear a striking resemblance, and it is very possible that Carrie Bradshaw would be a vata given her curly hair and aspirations for writing.

    Very well done. Clear and easy to understand.
    At a time when so much yoga practice is rushed and forced, it is inspiring to find a calm, focused, and harmonious presentation. Taught and practiced in this way gives the student greater understanding and optimum benefits.
    I wish you continued success,
    Namasté,

      Thanks for asking! At this time, this is our only video on the topic of yoga for vata dosha, but creating more yoga videos is definitely something that has been on our radar for a while, so stay tuned!

    wataching your video regularly. my questions is, you have shown jumping forward and backward. Should a vata person do it or not

      Glad you’re enjoying the video! Forward and backward movements are fine as long as you maintain an even pace and flow. We have a page on our website with written-out instructions that you might find useful as well: www.banyanbotanicals.com/info/ayurvedic-living/living-ayurveda/yoga/vata-pacifying-yoga/

    How much days require for balance vaata dosh..???

    • @banyanbotanicals
      @banyanbotanicals  Год назад

      We appreciate you tuning in! Each individual will be different depending on circumstances and the level of imbalance. According to Ayurveda, the entire process of digestion takes about 36 days, ending with the creation of ojas-the most refined by-product of digestion. Since each person is unique and each situation is different it could take about a month, but for some, it could be quicker and for some, it might take longer to balance an imbalanced dosha.
