I just did this to my 392 and headed up to Moab. Made a pretty big difference on how much snow and mud was flinging up on the side. I paid @$100 for fenders, plastic rivets and tool.

2021 Mojave Canada… bought the fronts for all 4 wheels and did not need to cut them at all they fit perfectly took me and my husband working together but no gaps fits like a glove Thank you for the video!!! I had the Rokblokz already on my trk didn’t even have to remove them or my tires to install ( I run 35’s on 18’s)

I was thinking about doing this when I seen the Recon package. A lot of people don't know the pain we go through with the mud and rock splatter on the rear fenders from the front tires. Mud flaps are a must at least on the front, I bought the WeatherTech version and loved them(Nice molded fit). Looking forward to seeing the updated look with 40's. Cheers!

I hated to do mudflaps, but love the Rokblokz when I added them. Even just the front makes a big difference for mud encrusted door handles and adding the rear was great for my bikes sitting on a rack (and for other drivers). Rokblokz are spendy, but the combination of being flexible + easily removable has been great for my JT. Mudflaps need to be flexible off the highway or easy to remove, but ideally both.

we had the rock blox on our jl and then went to wide tires and offsets, the trick is to use the hardware and make long jon flaps to fit, gave us 12 inches in rear, still allows to adjust, and can still remove easily, also paired with the recon exstenstions, we have cops cracking down on wheel poke and mud flaps in sask

I love my RokBlokz but I want to also add flare extensions. I've been patiently waiting for Mopar or someone else to make some that were specifically engineered for the Gladiator rear fenders.

I think in order to have a higher success rate with that rivet tool, you have to push on the rivet to make sure it's all the way in before locking it.

You need to squeeze the rivet tool, then release, then push it back in flush and then squeeze it again. It’ll break the tips off on the second squeeze.

I did all of that to my JT. The front flaps are only held on by the pastic waffle at the bottom. There are only two plastic tabs. I lost an inner fender liner and the flap one evening. That plastic waffle needs metal reinforcing.

  • @rattles3044
    @rattles3044 Год назад

I would trim the top of the mud flaps to over lap with the flairs and get rid of the v gap.
Then drill new holes in the mud flap. The flaps will be a little shorter but that will be good so there will be less chance of them ripping off !
    🤔

  • @darkforcefighter

At the start of your video when you were drilling new holes and with difficulty....holding the piece and drilling. I was thinking for anyone doing this in the future that one could use 3M double sided tape to hold the piece in place and then drill all the holes at the same time. It would also help when installing the rivets. Just an after thought. Thank you for the video.

Surely the flaps will get torn off first time truly off road…..but if they were engineered with a slide in/slide off mounting system, like a dovetail or T slot idea, then I could see em being a solid investment. Love the growl. 🤙

Cannot believe you made this video, I was just thinking about the combo of the extreme recon + rokblokz mud flaps on my Mojave. Have a bit of a poke with my fuel rims but I live in Colorado where it's basically lawless, however during the winter you can't go down the road without having your car caked up in dirt and it just gets annoying when I am headed to the mall and crawl and get dirty in 2 seconds--kidding but its also annoying to go to the car wash every 2 hours.

Tyre poke is illegal here in Australia. There's a business here in Australia that designed and made fender flare extensions for the JT and JL. I only like them for on-road driving. Off road, I hate them. They get ripped off, damaged etc. I wish there was a way for them to be easily removed for Off road driving. Here in Australia they're expensive to, over AU$900

We dont have a massive issue with tire poke down here in the US unless you live in certain (ahem) areas, like California where they will impound a vehicle for ANYTHING non-factory installed. In Texas, we dont care what people do to their vehicles. Most pickup trucks and Jeep down here are heavily modded and there are some CRAZY ones. The cops here couldnt care less. They barely enforce the traffic laws unless they catch someone doing something incredibly stupid, like blackout street racing at night.

The extend fender flares, are counterproductive to the look that you were going for. However,
I do understand the point with law-enforcement. When you’re going for barely legal options. And, when you’re dealing with tires, just let the police know. It is a factory build, who is measuring the inches (POLK) but us????
Here’s an example the F150 blackout package. Nobody’s getting tickets for the limo tinted windows.
    Bust of Luck!!!!!

What is it about the Mopar rear extensions that don’t fit on a Gladiator. I did see another channel where a guy installed them and all he had to do was drill a few different holes on the rear. I’ve watched yours and another channel where you both installed front extensions on the rear with a slight trimming modification. What is it that make the original rear extension not fit.
