That magneto reminds me of buffalo bill from silence of the lambs. Maybe it's the hair, face and the long fancy lady gloves. Something says i need moisturizer when I look at it.
17:35 - After this week's episode, we know this is ALMOST how she looks in the new animated series. They did do the exposed upper legs, which this figure skipped because it's still a kids' toy.
I got Madelyne a few days ago and I love her! The face sculpt is so good and they put some work into the rest of the figure. Though the ankles annoy me. A lot. The angle that the peg goes in makes them borderline unusable. Still, I'm gonna have her flying and throwing green energy, so whatever, I'm just glad the _look_ is so good!
Yeah, that's the big factor, the ankles and feet. Prod swapped out some flat shoes and now the cape pushes against the floor and topples her. Needs a cloth cape!

Was kind of dozing off while watching this, not due to boredom But just off a long shift. And while going over Jean every time you did the deep mmm, hmm I kept thinking my phone was vibrating 😅
When you said you weren't going to get M costume Magneto, I thought to myself, "we shall see, Robo. We shall see" 😏. The Jean was the biggest surprise to me in this wave. Everything I had thought when I initially saw them was confirmed when I had them in hand, but she turned out really nice. Especially compared to some of her other gangly, large-headed releases. The star of the wave for me (and the show now tbh) is Maddie. It's not the comic, but she is 😚👌
Yeah I swear man it like how do you miss that? They do get sample figures back from the factory before they go into production. Were the thigh high boot too Danger zone for them?
Not surprised you picked up those figs you said you'd pass on because I said the same. I already had them in prior iterations and the Magneto was not my style. But then it was hard to deny some of the beautiful design aesthetics, so I ended up getting Jean, Cyclops (for that optic blast head sculpt) and Magneto I'll try and get on clearance.
I told myself I don’t need these figures, since my ML collection is more focused on MCU/Movie figures. However, after watching the show, I’m kinda itching for them.
I am sad that Jean went out of stock on Amazon, But ti me, I still will try to get her along with Cyclops because I need them which both my Love Triangle 3 pack Jean Grey and Cyclops figures broke on me and maybe I might try to get Nightcrawler along with Magneto too, Also, Goblin Queen is a hot baddie to hot too handle and very great review Robo.
Can't believe how well they've done with X-Men '97. I was fully expecting it to be "alright." So, I didn't really hunt for these other than Cyclops. But after watching it and loving it? I may need that Magneto and Jean haha.

I’ve been having an issue with the 97 figures where I buy one to keep as the animated version and for some o get a second to swap older figures parts on to make comic versions, really need a vhs cyclops head though, can’t find one anywhere and I don’t want to buy a whole figure

If you look at it from just neck up, the cape wraparound looks kind of scarf like, then the white hair….I am kind of getting Bea Arthur from the Golden Girls vibes when looking from a distance! 😂
As much as I had been hoping for years they'd release Magneto in this costume...his second hero costume (with the big black collar and white gloves, boots and belt) was better and I can definitely see that now.
Bested out the new Nightcrawlrr just the other day! Love it but I can't seem to get him in as good a crouch pose as the one from the... Wendigo or Caliban wave. But maybe I'm doing it wrong and Robo will teach me the ways.
I really hope that wave three has both Jubilee & Beast in it. They're all I need now. & I was sure they'd finish out the core team in wave two. But knowing my luck they'll put one in wave three & one in wave four.

Goblin Queen needed a lil more sluttin up to win my money. I have the purple Magneto posed with the X-men from the 80's Outback/inferno era. Punk Storm, Havok, Polaris, Outback Rogue, Dazzler , Longshot , Colossus, Brown suit Wolverine and Iceman. He fits right in if anyone doesn't know where to use him but wants the figure.
Robo two things about goblin queen in X men 97, She never uses magic, she never goes to limbo and leads an army of demons. She does however make a psychic illusion that looks like Hell and the x men are attacked by psychic illusions that look like demons. Also the green effects are there because her telepathic and telekinetic powers are visialized as green flames.
Nightcrawler bother me a bit, only because when we got a new one I expected a retooled amazing fantasy body. Luckily I had already had a custom going with that body and I just took the new boots and gloves and redid the poofy hair.
The first magneto from 97 wave one. looks better and has better articulations then the second new one but i like them both .i disagree wave one magneto has okey proportions just a little short. These Magneto's are great improvement .

Mostly head comments from me. Magneto - tell me that head is NOT Christopher Lambert as Raiden in Mortal Kombat! I can't unsee it! Kurt - too much mousse. Kurt never had that much length or wave even under Alan Davis Jean - I expect to see more Imperial Guard customs using her ponytail head. (Dreamer? Empath? Whoever the pale skinned, pink clad alien is.) Maddie - her pinkish skin tone bothers me more than it should. Had they gone pale, it would be fine. I grabbed an extra to custom a Selene, as that's similar to her look, too. also, the second baby is gonna be Baby Rachel once I recolor her hair. ALSO, try swapping the Dark Phoenix head onto Maddie. I finally got one right after these hit thru Target online sale. Aside from the skin tone, she looks EVILER!
The Night Crawler is the best. Few gripes with the rest: worst Magneto outfit, looks like he should be on the cover of "Breakfast at Tiffany's" or "Pretty Woman" with those gloves. The size difference between Jean Grey and Goblin Queen are ridiculous considering one is a clone of the other.
Odd Hasbro changed the leg color of Goblin Queen, looks to be last minute as well because she's sculpted to reflect the cartoon series where she's wearing those thigh high boots and bare upper legs. Here they filled it in with that different black color. Too Risque?
After seeing episode 3 of X-Men 97, I'm mildly disappointed in Goblin Queen. I knew they couldn't go full on sexy, but they could have shown a little more leg like they did in the episode 😂

I had to get the Goblin Queen to make a custom GI Joe Baroness. It's a great looking figure and the face sculpt is awesome.

I wish hasbro decided to make proper neck articulation for their dumbbell setup, it keeps making people think neck hinges are better when they are not
Yeah, it needs to be more shallow to allow for more range. That and a bottom of the neck is usually helpful.

I modded my Jean and the forward crunch is a lot better. You don't need to cut much, but it's definitely worth it.
