Another Hasbro Marvel Legends X-Men wave? Yes please! Let's take a look at Logan in his training duds, Avalanche to add to the Brotherhood of Mutants, another Longshot with some teaks, another Jamie Madrox to add to....all the Multiple Mans we need, Jean Grey as Dark Phoenix, and then the star of the wave (at least to me)...Spiral to help out Mojo.

The Longshot head sculpts come down to whether you prefer Sting or Bowie.
If they can make Spiral like this, then they should easily be able to make a proper 6 armed Spider-man.
They could probably do waaaaay better now than they could then but Spiral also has the luxury of hair and even those shoulder pads covering up all the weird parts caused by shoving six shoulders into one torso.

@@somarriba333 pssshht...that's how Marvel legends operates...i can't take any longer to tell how much i hate this shite....sry....but how in the world is marvel legends or hasbro in general are the nr.1...don't get me wrong i am Collecting since 2016 but i never saw such lazy boring work to begin with...almost every char is on the same mold no Accessoires(mean for collectors) and they f..k almost every figure up so how the f....these mf making money...so how tf are they nr.1 in this game....because everytime i see some Reviews they got bashed badly and they are bad...so why collectors still pay money to hasbro for a shite product? I myself collect so much but hasbro...no way... i got only 8 figures of them(300+figures) but damn i only see shite in them and i myself ask me why....they are terrible in every regards Collecting action-figures...so why people so addicted to them...because i can tell you one after another figure that bettèr than any marvel-legends figure ever...so i don't get this...are the maturity of collectors stupid? Damn almost 30dollars for a pile of crap...so please why is everyone after this shite figures?

That editing skills on the Multiple Man when you dropped him is very creative, good stuff!
The split-second it happened, I thought there were actually multiple... Multiple Man figures piled on top of each other. I had to re-watch that section a few times to see it. I guess he combined multiple shots together, like how they do in movies where one actor is portraying multiple characters in one scene.

My favorite thing about Avalanche in modern comics is him telling people his name is Rictor when things mess up.
I hope we get a modern Rictor and Shatterstar soon! Rictor, Quake, and Avalanche in the same room would be scary though

I'm pulling away from Legends more and more these days but this wave is a big HIT imo. All the characters are welcome and wanted in the collection and will easily resale if you're not interested but pickup the wave as a whole. What's an even BIGGER hit though: your skills with your editing software! You got me Vince McMahon'ing at your special effects smoothly added into the video - most impressive! Your NY resolution of getting better with the editing is definitely paying dividends!
I appreciate that! I dove head first into tutorials over the holidays and was afraid I'd go overboard with all the ideas, tried to keep them as itty bitty snippets for each.

I like some of the new edits thrown in like the missing team member and even the multiple man multiplying. Nice touches. As long as it isn't a nightmare for you, I'm all in!
A man with a mullet like that doesn't have to look behind him, he only sees what's ahead of him while explosions go off behind him blowing his golden locks with the high pressure shock front. Avalanche reapplies his lipstick and blows Longshot a kiss.

For Dark Phoenix, the new one is nice, but the old one feels more special. We need a slimmer Cyclops; he is too muscular for John Byrne era X-Men.
Spiral is definitely a winner as a figure - so different and all the weapons!😊

Big Bang Comics are amazing! I'm a bit away from Dublin but they always are great at delivering in 3 days or so. What a surprise hearing you shout them out, but they honestly do deserve it, never a single problem with them in 2 years of collecting.
I'm hoping to someday soon check them out in person!

Robo, a full wave review that went super quick. Mad credit to you for editing and fun. All your observations were dead on and your comparisons were appreciated. Spiral was always a favorite character visually and her jilted lover (deadly intentions) made her interesting. I hope to find her in-store, maybe order her. The retail mojo I have so some of this wave has real appeal. I have the old Toybiz Phoenix maybe an update is warranted 😌. A solid wave. A memorable review 👍✌️
The eyes for Longshot on the deluxe version are way more pretty boy than the retail version. Also, now I'm hyped for spiral.

Glad to see you got this wave! I've seen most of these here in the UK for about a month, shocked the heck out of me when I saw them. For me I think I'm skipping it, I'm happy with the X-Men team roster I currently have and I try to be one and done with characters in this line and don't go too deep into other X-related teams, so really it comes down to X-villains for me and even there I'm limited for space.
I skipped Mojo because of that, so the same goes for Spiral, Multiple Man is pretty classic but also falls into that category of X-villains that aren't must haves for me, and even then I'd need multiple but again, space. Avalanche just never interested me in the comics and for me the figure doesn't do much either. I've got nothing against Dark Phoenix, I just don't feel that I need it, not to mention both her and Spiral are the only two I haven't seen in person.
Still, glad you're happy with these figures!

Got half of this Wave late last year. Spiral's been my #1 want for years & she doesn't disappoint. Each one seems to have different types of gumminess, luckily mine wasn't too bad. Dark Phoenix just needed some shading on the figure, so I did that.
Avalanche's head was swapped for a modified Rock Python. I did have to fix the bicep swivel, as it sheared off, this buck seems to have that problem for me.

The colors really POP on Dark Phoenix she looks spectacular! Unfortunately I missed the pre-order. When it comes to the lips on the guys, I honestly prefer them having color. It looks way more natural than the old route of giving the male figures no lips at all. Seeing Wolverine and the blue and gold team suit packs gives me hope they’ll do a team suit collection for the New Mutants’ black and yellow costumes! Those looks to me were so iconic and I’d love an excuse for another Sunspot in my collection and a new Magik figure. I know they started on the black and yellow X costumes for the new mutants with Dani, Wolfsbane, and Karma, but I really want the classic trunks and belt looks. Great review as always Robo!

That Wolverine head may be the only reason I get that figure. Even if the hair is a bit big for some eras, it's still a great sculpt.
Spiral is easily the best of the wave, and I don't even care about the Mojoworld stuff. Also super glad the hands are soft on her. But... no Flo Rida for the boots with the fur? HOW DARE YOU! She even has dancing as part of her powers! The absolute disrespect...

I'm not a fan of hot claws, but gawdam with that head it makes a great astonishing Logan. I really want a happy middle grown on the claws. I prefer the back of the hand pips and claws, the between knuckle wide blades are clearly inspired from the Singer movies. If they could make a half wide with the pips so their sturdier while giving the right back of the hand look, that'd be perfect. Then give me some bare hands with pips for weapon X that'd be swell.

I do not even have any of these X-MEN figures in my hand, But to be honest, I will just get Dark Phoenix and the single release cool Longshot because I don't have the TRU exclusive Dark Phoenix figure, Wolverine looks great and Spiral is beautiful but kicks ass, Amazing review on all of these X-MEN retro carded figures Robo.

I definitely want that Spiral. I've been hunting this character's figure for longer than a decade, couldn't get her 1st action figure for the life of me. I'll get Wolverine and Long Shot because those Logan heads and David Bowie references. Everything else is skippable to me.

I really would have preferred if they did the Cable or X-Man eye flare. Already grabbed the Wolverine, to set up the 275 team, and a few Multiple Mans (green suit, best suit). Can't wait for my Avalanche and Spiral. Definitely need Destiny, and maybe Super Saber and Crimson Commando, to finish off the Freedom Force

If you look at the Art Adams Limited Series and throughout 80s early 90s, Longshot had a yellow star. That was the dealbreaker for me getting the Mojoworld 4 pack as I preferred Mojo and Dazzler from that pack.

Still waiting on Hasbro to ship out my Dark Phoenix....but my Spiral is in doubt. Thanks to technical issues, I wasn't able to get a pre-order of Spiral from Hasbro Pulse...I then placed it with the now defunct DorkSide Toys....and then had to move that over to Big Bad Toy Store who typically ships things 3 or 4 months after the fact :(.
Seeing these kind of pulled me back into picking up marvel legends especially the Jim Lee designs!

I love the Spiral figure, my only knitpick with it is that she should have one full cybernetic arm and one half cybernetic arm from the elbow down. They did it with the original figure but for some reason left it off with this newer one. But thats a minor issue, she's still one of my all time favorite X-men villains. XD
Perfect Wolverine Headsculpt finally… and there’s 2 of them!
The dark phoenix seem to be the animated series version. Similar to what Hasbro did with the Retro Carded Apocalypse. Minus the cel-shading, it is animated series....Not sure if I'd like to unbox the dark phoenix, looks good in retro card..Happy with the toys r us version for toy photography.

Longshot- you want the Nate Grey effect? That’s what you’re describing.
I’d settle for regular eye coloring surrounded by the eye glow tampo.
Phoenix- I’m putting the ScarJo EndGame head on her for Rachel.
Jean also briefly wore this outfit, and a modified version of it (larger Phoenix, no sleeves, headband), but in this coloring, it’s definitely Rachel for me.
Madrox- all I gotta say is Target BETTER get full cases of this guy! I expect to see the trenchcoat+arm swap as soon as he hits wider, to get close to the X-Factor v3 look.
Logan- I’m sure he’ll sell, but I’m trying to think of similar shorter, stockier X-Men for training tog costumes. I expect I’ll be ordering multiples of the 3pks, too.
Avalanche- several people have used the Cap Britain helmet head for customs of Lance. It looks better than this one. I imagine we’ll see a number of A’s drawn on his chest, too.
And Destiny is LONG OVERDUE! I saw several people hoping she was packed in with the upcoming Blob.
Spiral- definitely the standout, just due to engineering alone. I never opened my Rulk Spiral (or Warlock), so she can finally join my shelf with my Mojos. Now I need a Ricochet Rita!

My avalanche has lines on the inside of his boots(it's one off the reasons galactus is still in its box as nova had line's and they're really distracting) also I dremelled out dark phoenix head to lower the head on the peg as I felt personally it was to high and was really wobbly on the peg

My Spiral came with two right arms lmao, but it isn't even noticeable unless you focus on that
A close friend of mine has just passed away and, among other things, he left behind a great Marvel toys collection, like, a huge collection of about 600+ action figures (exact number unknown, I'm still exploring the whole bunch). Since his family is not interested in keeping it and now I'm the only one around who knows a bit about this stuff, we're looking to sell everything. How much would you say it's the value for opened Hasbro Marvel Legends figures (mostly from the Avengers and X-Men franchises, including some complete sets from the Build-a-Figure line), or in any case the brand-new-to-used cost ratio. BTW, most figures are in great condition, the packaging is gone, all the accessories are complete (as far as I can tell) and it never ever had kids around, it was an adult's collection meant to be on display in a cool mancave/showroom that, sadly, never came to be.
There're also toys from other Hasbro lines and several from Toy Biz but having this info may give me a good hint of how to handle the rest. Thanks in advance.
We had the eye effect for Cable which they could have used for Longshot instead of this Tattoo they gave him. Guess they didn't want to go through the trouble of a hole in the eye to plug it into

I was hoping Hasbro would do a green suit Phoenix on the retro cardback as an exclusive release. Similar to what they did with the black suit storm and visible invisible woman and Johnny Storm. Fingers are still crossed.
The original Dark Phoenix is a take on the Greg Land cover he did for Phoenix Endsong.
i want those logan heads just don't care about the blue/yellow costume. Spiral and Phoenix are great, avalanche was simply essential. Good wave
I actually like some size variance between the figs, because the characters are of differing heights. Dark Phoenix is supposed to be shorter than Storm, cuz Jean's shorter. It was even said that Storm used to be the tallest female X-Man, until Lifeguard joined the team, for a while.
I just hope Hasbro gets back to completing teams, because a crossbow-wielding Destiny would be great to complete "Freedom Force".

Hasbro marvel legends somehow managed to give both Mormano and Red Skull (non what if) the same body sculpt. I don't know how you pull that off but they did it and it looks weird if you own both of them. Same wave, same body sculpt, I guess. So, I'm not the lease bit surprised Avalanche is missing his A on his chest and 8s wearing lipstick.
Looks like the new Dark Phoenix overcame her greatest adversary... Gravity! The previous dark Phoenix just couldn't stand up to gravity, always falling over in defeat 🙄
Hmm, that may be why I've had her in a hanging flying pose for years, I can't even remember at this point....

Hey Robo ! Nice review, thank you ! You think it's worth selling my 2-pack with Cyclops ? Except for Spidey, I'm not much of a multiple versions of characters kind of guy. I like having a definitive one and that's it. If I purchased that Phoenix, I would definitely get rid of the 2-pack. But would it be worth it ? (I don't care much for Cyclops)
I thought kinda the same thing as I was putting these back on the shelf after the review, although my thought was "Can I take these Cyclops parts and put them on another body? No, surely Hasbro will swing back around to this version." It's up to you if it's worth it, but that pack was pretty hard to find.
That set is already falling on price, since they already showed Astonishing Cyclops, of course they gonna do the Byrne era again with that head. That means the set is big on price now for Phoenix, and mostly the alt heads.
They could have gave Longshot a different head to switch out, one no eye power other with eye power. I think I would try to switch Jean's face. I like the DARK eyes over the Dark eyes. Love Wolverine's heads.
They should have used the effect eye from X-Man from the AoA waves for Longshot.
Multiple Man should have been an army builder.
I've been noticing a lot more gumminess in ML lately (I'm still getting Spiral though). It's made me a lot more selective because I have to wonder how viable some of these things will be after a couple years.
5:06 Avalanche's shoulders should have mirrored sculpts, but instead they're the same shoulder molds with one being reversed. Front sculpt of one side is the same as the back sculpt of the other. 4:42 His back left sculpt is the same as his front right sculpt 4:52. And his back right and front left are the same.
