Edit: people in VRChat tell me the audio is balanced but the music is lagging and not staying on its like when someone's mic stops picking up for a second. I've turned mic threshold down in vrchat and increased gain of Spotify
turn off noise suppression and put y0ur mic activation to 0

@@mosthxtedlzzz9904 yea i fixed it, just needed to switch from voice meter input to aux input and it worked phenomenally
Hey I found a fix I had the same problem. In your stream vr settings in the audio tab, make sure the audio output device is on “headset”. Keep the audio input device on “voicemeeter output.”
no idea what i did wrong but people hear themselves on vrc

it worked for a bit but what annjoys me is i had so maby b1 and a1 and outputs that the one i needed never showed up so i had to tweak with settings everytime i got on which is annoying.
It works completely fine how it needs to work but.... The only problem I am having is that whenever I play music in vrchat it is loud and people can hear it clearly but I can barely hear it at all because I want to hear the music clearly too but it is SOOOOOO quiet on my end, I tried to figure this out but just cant... is there a solution for this because.... this sucks....

ive followed every video and every step, re installed and everything. i use voicemeeter banana and my friends can hear themselves through my output? ive tried changing settings unclicking A's & B's, spotify works fine and plays but they can hear them selves and the world sounds. VRChat is at default in Sound Settings.. im at a loss and about to loose my mind. lol
on vrchat for me its asking output a1 a2 a3 a4 b1 b2 b3 b4 and i dont know whick it is. i dont see an output

I have never felt so luck as to find a video like this one, I've been searching for a video like this for two hours that wouldn't result in tears of literal frustration because they were too overcomplicated, too many steps and work around, it's short, simplified, and works perfectly, I had no issues with the set up at all, thank you so much for this!!

My only problem is that, when I change it to voice meter input I cant hear anything from google or other sites :/
So when i hop on desktop vrc it works perfect but when i hop on my vr other people can hear my music but i cant and i did everything the video told me to do

I did everything exactly as shown but I can’t hear shit from in-game. I’m using a wireless headset.
Edit: it works if I set my desktop audio to my wireless headphones but I can’t use the headphone mic anymore. I don’t talk in the game anyways so I don’t mind too much but there were too many things that didn’t make sense to me so the whole process was somewhat confusing.
This was still the best tutorial out there, considering the others are at least a year old.

turn of B2 on voice meetrt aux and voicemeeter input
didnt work for me sadly. when i got to 4:35 i couldnt hear anything anymore after changing the default to the voicemeeter input.

When i try this i get like 6 different channels like "Voicemeeter A1, A2, A3, B1, B2" is that normal? i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a few times and i get like voice options

I did everything to a T but it lags like crazy. Skipping non stop but when i close vr chat it stops skipping

In vrchat it won’t show voicemeeter output but it shows all the a 1-4 and b 1-4 channels
Do you know how to lower the output audio in vrchat? People are telling me it's too loud when I play music.
People voices in vrc play through my mic aswell
I followed like 10 of these damn tutorials and every single last one of are completely different steps 😭😂.

Okay, but what do you do for virtual desktop by GGCodin? This doesn't work for VD.
I've tried it on other games where there isn't an option to change the mic specifically for the game and I'm stuck, I don't know how I would change my mic input/output. I've tried changing my steam input/output, but I can't find a way for it to get the music into mic column. But thanks for getting me some progress!

I have the other voicemeeter banana and I got it working but it won't work at all I looked up videos I try all my audio and it doesn't work or it makes a horrible sound and it hurts your ears very badly, I can't hear a sound when it's on I can't hear people in vrc when it's on. It just sucks it was playing fine like I said but I can't get it to work you can'y here anying you may see the volume move up and down but you can't hear it at all.

I did everything step by step, and I’m still getting game volume through my mic. People can hear themselves and the menu sounds. What the hell do I do. I’ve watched a thousand vids and none of the know how to fix it
what if you dont have 2 channel 16 bit 48000 hz dvd quality but you do have 2 channel 16 bit 44100 hz cd quality with it be the same?

You might've not followed one of the steps correctly. If you go in voice meeter and unselect your VR speakers/mic and restart your VR it should be back to normal.(without voicemeeter)

So I came across an issue, i was using voicemeeter banana for about a day or 2 and yesterday it just stopped allowing vrchat access to my microphones, when i launch vrchat and voicemeeter is open it shows no microphones however when i launch vrchat with voicemeeter closed it shows microphones and then when i open voicemeeter it immediately cancels all microphone access to vrchat and then vrchat crashes

Welp voice meter completely messed up my mic in vrc don’t prefer getting this on ur quest 2 will most likely never be able to use ur mic again if u just wannna “ play music”.

It shouldn’t since game audio isn’t being routed into voice meter. Are you following my exact steps ?
I am also getting echoing, I followed your steps exactly and can get music and my voice over the mic but it produces and echoes with sound from VRC. I havnt been able to figure this out yet.
