One of the better instructional videos done. I know that when I see the purpose stated imediately and then a tool list which is almost never done. So withing a minute I know exactly what I need to get.
That is a Pioneer unit, I worked for Pioneer for 21 years. I was known as Mr. CD at work. I hand aliened the laser on BMW and Rang Rover. Now there are managed electronically.I also worked on GM 12 disk changers. I closed out my time with Pioneer doing failure analysis on Honda.
Thank-you this video was very helpful and detailed, i do wish you completed the end by detailing all of the assembly, but I think it will be enough for me.
Great. Mine is different. 2008 Ford Edge. I have the changer mechanism out of the radio, but its 6 CD changer is different & not as accessible to the internals. Wedged #3 CD. Any experience with this model?
How do you remove the small phillips screws when the screws are resisting to turning and the + is beginning to be damaged? Any tips to make it easier? I'm trying to remove the clips on the side that hold radio into the dash. Thanks
Sometimes i will put a little wd40 on my finger and "rub it into" the bolt. Just enough to get "in there" . Then as i use the screwdriver i try to push it "into" the bolt head so it hopefully grabs enough to get it turning. Of course i have the trusty backups of a. using my pliers to grab the edge...or b. using my dremel...if i can get it to the bolt head... to cut a channel to use a flat head

Great video! Thank you for breaking everything down so well and the tips in the end! I’m confident in doing mine now
Thank you for doing the video. I just pulled one of these from a wreck. Hoping it works well.

00:30 Torx is not measured in MM but use a Tx identification. For example T15, T20 and more.

BTW we used 20 gauge wire or fishing line to remove and reinstall the springs
