outer sill repair section was cheap and fit like a glove. I have a couple of older cars that need resto and they had sills made up from 3mm thick angle iron sections.
For my money it's got to be worth doing the inner sill completely while you are in there, then it will all be new and rustproofed and generally very lovely for years to come.
To replace the entire inner sill would need a fairly comprehensive strip down of the interior, electrics and also removal of outer parts of the seat box structure. As the majority of the inner sill were strong and rot free, this was by far the most cost effective method for repair
Check that you dont need a spacer for that 4 flange conversion. If you compare the 2 flanges you can see the difference. Some had spacers some didnt. Another way to remove that 3 flange pilot is a deeo socket and a a stack of washers and a 10.9m8 bolt. Great job otherwise
Love your videos. You're adding years and years to the life of these vehicles. Must be quite satisfying.
Thank you very much and yes I love my job
Well you’re certainly earning your beer and coffee with those 2 jobs… there’s a lot of metal in that diff for your little burner to heat up !
Thank you, it is nice to see the car going back together again
Looks like a job for a length of 60x100box

@@churchhouseclassics that's very true and a fair point.
You really need to tidy your garage.
and as soon as I do that, the pixies turn up and trash it again. You are right though and I did have another massive clear up
