- In today's video, we're running a small experiment on the commenters of ChippysCouch by giving them a completely unmoderated vanilla Terraria server with no rules! Will the world flourish or end up destroyed? let's find out!
I was inspired to make this after watching RTGame's recent video 'I gave 100 Minecraft players one chunk each to build anything' which I thoroughly enjoyed. UPDATE: so I've actually never heard of anarchy servers before, and after doing some research they sound mental! This was more an experiment to see what people would do without any form of guidance or plugins stopping them. Anarchy was never encouraged or discouraged so hopefully this is still a unique spin on the concept

The fact that everyone helped each other out and just created builds is the most wholesome thing I've seen in Terraria
Terraria is a bit more fortunate than Minecraft in that its playerbase is smaller, so there are fewer people going around ruining servers for no reason.

@@irongolem1476 because killing the npc was quicker and less time consuming and skeletron loot was trash at that point because lots of people raided with endgame lootbags etc.

The underground base was actually my build (Bang McPow), but I appreciate someone finishing it due to my early disconnect. Had a blast, let’s do this more!

Chippy's viewerbase, I assume, is quite mature, because Chippy himself is, as a creator. If this was done in another community, or a more popular one, then maybe there would be more anarchy.

That moment in quarentine when you sleep to fast forward time.
When I saw the title and thumbnail I immediately thought RT uploaded another video so it's actually cool that Chippy is acknowledging and appreciating the inspiration just to have fun instead of trying to claim it. It's *VERY* refreshing. Other than that, I'm currently 1:47 into the video and I think it'll be surprising with a few collaborative massive projects that probably destroy my conception of what can be possibly built in 2d much the same way the terraria subreddit does...so let's see what there is to see.

Dude the terraria community is legit probably the most dedicated and mature fanbase of any game, I've been playing this game for almost a decade, that's crazy, over half my life, terraria till I die

@@yaboiavery5986 I think part of the reason is the niche that terraria carved out for itself. When I first saw it I wrote it off as a 2d minecraft thing. When I played it I realized how in depth the mechanics are and how much content there is. I think that with all the possibilities that you have with terraria, it fosters a much different community compared to minecraft.
lmao it's actually almost fully depends of a fanbase and Chippy got a nice one (great job lads ;) ) but really terraria as much as other sandbox games have their good anb bad sides so, no, i don't think so. There is always greifers and always some nice people everywhere.

a return to this no-rules server every once and a while to see the underground slowly taken over, or more complex builds added.
Just like, keep it open for a week or so and see what happens.
Try making a server and giving each player a chunk of land to build.
