Oooops! I made a mistake! The graveyard at the end wasn't appearing not because I was at the center of the world, but because there were sunflowers nearby. Sunflowers negate the affect of gravestones! So if you remove the sunflowers in the world when you download it, you'll get a full graveyard. Thank you, Xman101 for pointing that out!

Oh thats great, i was actually worried that graveyard biomes would appear even if you would not want it.
My 6 friends and I started playing on mastermode world. We all got slaughtered by slimes, so a graveyard spawned. For the next hour we were caught in the continuous cycle of trying break gravestones but dying to ghosts. Probably one of the best moments I’ve had in the game.
At least you, unlike me, figured out that was due to the gravestones, and not a new mechanic in Master Mode. I honestly thought it was meant to be that brutally hard for around 2 hours, until I noticed said graveyard was spreading as I died further from it... At that point, I could already handle all the ghosts that appeared from braking the tombstones
this is the exact thing that happened to my friends and I lol, we didnt know about the graveyards and just assumed there was some even hha

My favorite part of Journey's End is Muramasa damage being buffed by 2. Really changes the weapon.
In light of the many replies that have missed the point of this comment, it is sarcasm. The Muramasa damage buff does practically nothing and is one of the least consequential changes in the update, and I know that.
Its so op now, what were they thinking

The potential for ecto blocks is amazing! I'm imagining a world that looks pretty normal but when you equip some Spectre gogles it becomes a ghost utopia sprawling with color and intricate designs.
Me: Joins master mode
Slimes 2 seconds after I join: Looks like we're going to build a graveyard!
In Classic and Journey Mode: you kill the slimes.
In Expert and Master Mode: The slimes kill you.
My favourite thing right now are the new music tracks.

Expert mode is easy. Classic mode, only pussies who are even more cowardly than the expert mode play that. Journey mode... nobody plays journey mode unless they are a literal chicken. Master mode is normal mode. I need a harder mode...

The ghosts pre-hotfix did a great job of populating my world with graveyard biomes.

There's also the Morning Star in the dungeon.
Yeah, there's already plenty of Castlevania references in the game. The leather whip, morning star, graveyard and more undead enemies is perfect for this purpose.

Me and my friend just started a play through for 1.4. We are planning on keeping all of our grave yards to make a zombie farm for coins and other items

@@willmungas8964 lowkey that flail is stonks. deals with groups of zombies without issue, and many early game mobs become easy prey for it.

But it almost never does the fire and IT GOES OUT IN FLOWING WATER
They made flails better by not instantly throwing first. I mean, that doesn’t go for the Flarion though. You can get the Sunfury in hell, and it deals 81 damage. You don’t even have to throw it, just keep it around you.
I made a graveyard hill with an undertaker's hut with a crafting subbasement... with a flesh cloning vat... make of that what you want.

Yung King it’s another rare drop from the crimson but when I was farming for the crimson key I got over about 10

My favourite new feature in Journey's End is the wind physics.
It got me hyped up when this update was supposed to be 1.3.6, completly changed the game's atmosphere in a very good way.

Ok but mobile is low priority for a reason. Mobile really isn’t a platform that games like Terraria were meant for, so mobile-onlys should be glad that they even have it.
Mobile was announced to get 1.4 earlier than console. Be thankful.

Graveyards are an awesome addition, and I can’t wait to exploit the craftable versions of the previously unobtainable walls. Probably my favourite part of the graveyard Biome, just inching out ahead of Echo Blocks.

I just love all of journeys end! Except that its the last update...
We still have the modding community to keep us entertatined. I've been waiting to try mods like calamity until after 1.4 dropped

Hold up you got my costume
You forgot the gravediggers shovel. It’s made with 12 lead/iron bars and 3 wood. It can only mine soft blocks like dirt and sand and mud but it mines in 3 by 3. This makes it perfect for excavating dirt on top for a house, or for mining soft blocks to stop the crimson, corruption, or hallow from spreading, because block spreading can’t jump 3 blocks.
Let me just say; I literally love every new feature so far. Not a single one I dislike.
The only ones I don't like are the changes they made to meteors. You now have to kill EoW before a meteor can land, and meteors can't be mined using explosives now. Overall the devs did such a fantastic job with this update despite the minor nuisance they added.
@@NightmareBlade10 four meteors have fallen in my world now. I hate getting meteors since I don’t need them anymore. I’m past meteor armour and weapons now and don’t want anymore. Does anyone know a way to stop meteor spawns?

so yesterday i was playing terraria with my 2 best friends right when the update came out, we started our world at exactly 12:03 (we live in central US) and played literally non stop, at about 1 am, we desided to close and reopen the world real quick because one of my friends kept saying it would fix the lag, when we opened the world again, it was completely empty, just spawn in and fall all the way to hell, there was no backup because the world was saved to the cloud, does anyone know what we can do, because now my two friends dont want to play after 13 hours of work just up and got deleted.

There was a second update released real quick after 1.4... probs bugfix or something, but I had multiplayer issues when my brothers computer updated and mine didn’t... maybe that has something to do with it?

I was actually over the moon that slabs finally blend. It's obviously down to your own builds but it's such a huge benefit to me and my past builds.
My favorite part of the update is the master mode pets. Pets have always been one of my favorite things to get and collect and all of the master mode pets are amazing!
They do look amazing!
It’s nice that people aren’t complaining that the master mode item isn’t an accessory. I think the pets and trophies were great ideas.
Here’s an idea. Not sure if you already did it, but what about an ocean temple with traps, as well as a shrine to duke fishron. Maybe put the temple in the new underwater caves?
I love building so of course I LOOOOOVE Journey Mode! Also I love that now putting different NPCs in their own biomes is encouraged. It's a good excuse to build multiple small towns instead of one big NPC hotel like I usually do.
The gravediggers shovel is also craft able in ecto mist, which I find extremely useful when making a plantera arena, digging sand, dirt, etc
Goblin army spawned whenI really wasn't ready and accidentally created two of theze either side of my starter base.
Luckily, i always put sunflowers around for the happy effect, which unknowingly prevented the graveyard biome
The ghosts were still a nuisance
I was gone for abit and came back to me being slaughtered by goblin army too! XD
I actually love the idea that was accidentally discovered of building a ghostly-esque building like a mausoleum with a few designs made with blocks you can't even see without the goggles.

I would love a video about common buildin tricks/combinations or on how to achieve different looks! I always find myself using boring wall designs in my houses for instance and i would love to spice that up :)
When I got onto one of my friend’s 1.3.5 world yesterday we were quite confused why everything was gray, I genuinely though it had to do with NPC happiness or something. Then I remembered the one scene from the reveal trailer and removed all the gravestones we had

The graveyard biome is a fantastic addition and it’s one of my favorites although I’m a huge fan of the oasis and desert. I’d love to see a build themed around the oasis or desert and see how I could use some of the building tricks in my own world.

This is awesome! Also conveniently, you will now play with a hardcore character when you want gravestones😉. I'm glad Re-Logic added the accent slab. It also means we can accent stone slabs with stone slabs lol. The echo blocks are really handy as well. The graveyard looks really good! Good luck to release two videos in one day!

Bru I came back to terraria after about 6 months of stopping so I could play the last update and I found fog in my house. Thanks to your video I now understand that the fog was from the catacombs I have under my home of every single death I had had in the world. Thanks soo much for this video as I now understand 👍
My friend and I had enough gravestones to build a massive graveyard by the end of our first night on master mode
Ebonstone brick painted grey must be a Khaois favorite. Uses this combo in alot of builds & it looks fantastic!

1: Well we could simply remove the need to die and make them using materials.
2: We could implement an overly complex method and force people to kill themselves or their NPCs to make this biome punishing people who do well.
Terraria design logic at its finest. Take the most indirect possible approach to solve the problem... and if you've ever seen how this works... 9/10 times there is bugs or some issue associated with this. Really hope they got this working as from the sounds of it... someone will find an "Infinite Tombstone" exploit to crash/destroy worlds.
There already is one? Since 1.2 or something like that.
My favorite part if Journey’s End is the music! All of the new tracks are incredible and go a long way toward keeping me engaged with the new content.
Dont worry, nobody wish to play hardcore mode, its all about building and collecting in journey mode

My main world has it's boss arena right at spawn, with all my main buildings surrounding the area. I've never cleaned up the tombstones from all my deaths, as a sort of "learn from my lessons" badge of pride. So when I logged on yesterday (I've avoided all trailers and anything that might have spoilers for 1.4) I was so confused and annoyed that my home and safe haven was black and white and dingy and there were enemies spawning. So this video is legitimately needed lol. I think the graveyard biome is actually neat and has potential, just not in my home, so now I know to either move the tombstones or add sunflowers, thanks!

hey Khaios suggestion for graveyard builds that doesnt add alot, but maybe youd like? when i was building my own i went down 2 or 3 blocks below each grave and placed a 2 by 2 square of palm wood, looks a little like a coffin is actually buried there!

My favorite partof 1.4 is tied between the terraprisma, moonlord's legs, and moonlord's master mode wings
The painter also sells illuminant paint, which is basically just glow in the dark paint, when in the graveyard. Glow in the dark blocks can be used to make some pretty interesting builds, and they too can make hidden messages. But I think the most interesting thing is how it can be used for adventure maps.
My favourite part is the addition of Moonlords Legs
My favorite part of journeys end is journey mode because i dont want to stumble upon a spider cave while making hellevator, i just need to find teleport pots and duplicate them
My favourite thing about terraria 1.4 is that all my friends and I are excited to play terraria again. We currently have a big party of people playing through on master mode, and apart from the unintentional graveyards it's awesome!
My favorite part of the New update is the New summoner items
My favourite new feature of 1.4? Auto opening doors. Causes some new headaches with accidentally letting in some zombies, but the trade-off for not having to stop every second in a packed town, or perfectly timing your open so you dont run into the door at high speed, is well worth any new problem.
It is a very small and simple addition, but I love it.
This is my favorite biome by far aside from a close followup by Crimson and Underground Crimson. I've already started making enemy sprites in anticipation of tmodloader being updated to 1.4, and have been messing around with builds focusing upon it as well.

There is so much potential to echo blocks. People will use them to make custom maps and paint them in many different colours to like builds traps on them, make like labyrinths and like idk, there is just a lot of potential to it, people who make those maps (myself included, not as much nowadays, if at all), but people who still make those maps, oh boy, it just opened a whole new level of map making.
So this is how you made the entrance to the unrevealed hole in Putt-eraria! I almost thought the world was broken when I had my first experience with those echo blocks.
My favourite thing is new interactions with furniture. Being able to sit in chairs with NPC's and have doors just open and close without having to fumble around with the mouse is super convenient.
My favorite part of 1.4? The Terraprisma. Prismatic color is my jam, and I have a PROFOUND love of enchanted sword minions in gaming... Wish me luck in actually getting it.
I am super happy the summoner class got some love with the whips, before, summoner only was "Hey, look at my summons" then legging away from the boss so it made playing it a little tedious, but with the whips, you can take part in the battle and tell your minions who to attack, which makes it feel you have more control over what will happen in a boss fight. Also, you can now cosplay Simon from Castlevania, which is cool. Or, you know, Richter.
I discovered the biome by accident when I loaded my old world where I just left the graves around my base when me and my old friends were playing. I thought it was something else but then I looked up online and found some guides and this video, it was kinda sad when I removed the graves since they been there since 2015 when I used to play terraria nearly everyday reminded me of the good old days :D

Honestly it was so fun creating the graveyard biome. I even set up a safehouse/grave keeper hut for an npc to live in. The painter moved in.
I had to fight a goblin army and died so many times i was very confused why fof was everywere when i was mining the graves up. This clears it up.
I think one thing they could’ve done in terraria to make it so old builds and such weren’t ruined because of texture is using the hammer to reshape the block would have another option to change it so it blends the way it did previously or maybe a separate item to switch it
