    Your local dealer sounds like my local dealer. I ended up purchasing a 75-3 out of state and saved around 12k including having it shipped. It pays to shop around. Very low hours for being a 2020.

    4/17/24..yo Brandon! Howdy from New Orleans area..enjoyed watching you 2day, appreciate your 'straight talk' style, no-nonsense. Believe it wont be long before you will need another skid steer to rent. I am 78 yrs, retired, do bunch of handy man stuff. I watch Andrew Camarata, Jesse Muller, Diesel Creek, C&C equip, Scrappy, DirtBoss & several others...i have the time to do this & relate the various projects to my beer buddies. Have added/subscribed you as well. Look forward to you working on your equipment, like 'ole Warren at Western Truck & tractor repair...all these guys have HD equip, tools & do their own repairs, so imagine you will too. Stay safe & carry on!🔧🪝⛓️⚙️🔩👍🍺

    Harley Rake. Good low impact implement that wont stress your machine. Also an earth auger.

    Looking at compact tractor to start. Would you recommend starting with that or spring for the larger piece of equipment like a skid steer first?

    I’m really surprised kubota didn’t approve you. I heard they’re very easy to buy equipment from.

    What insurance do you use for the equipment

    Much safer to chain to trailer with 4 points of connection, that way if one's loose machine can't move around.

    Did you find a general rental contract or write the entire thing up yourself?
    Can't seem to find a template myself.
    Tried to find easy to use rental software but couldn't find that either lol
    Do you take pictures, sign a physical agreement and take a picture of licencse and credit card with your phone?
    Just seeing this video and going to pick up my first piece of equipment this week to start out!

    Hey brandon. Man Ive been wanting to start my own rental business but cant seem to pull the trigger. Talk about expensive stuff!! But I got 2 questions for you tho. Do you use a software to help manage your rentals? And is it profitable?

    • @brandonsdiyprojects
      @brandonsdiyprojects  3 месяца назад

      I don’t use rental software. I’m too small right now and trying invest more money in other things! I make a small profit usally but I just dump it right back in the business!

    id reccomend a 2000$ chinese bush hog, 2500$ chinese hammer, 1200-1500$ tooth bucket, 3500$-4000 auger with 9" rock bit, 2000$ root grapple, 700$ stump bucket

      As much as I’d like to save a buck I’ve seen to much of that Chinese junk get bent and broke! Lol

      @@brandonsdiyprojects i agree. it depends on which brush cutter you get. get the one with the big blade carrier and short big blades. not the long thing curved blades... and for chinese hammers, apparently 90% of all hammers are from china. i have not had too many issues with the hammers
