There was an error in your math for the expected income for the year... First month you generated $2k and then you secured a future one month rental for an additional $1k. That would make it $3k for TWO full months, not just one month like you indicated. Based on these numbers alone, your real projected yearly revenue would come out to be between $18k - $24k .... not the $36k like you mentioned Still not bad overall considering the small investment and little work needed.
Try calling the guys at trailer parts superstore. Tell them what you are doing, your weather, etc. They will help you. MAKE SURE they know it is a rental! That way they know it will be abused. Prepurchase some common parts and be sure you have all the same hubs, bearings, tires, etc. if possible. Best of luck to you!
You got me wanting to rent a trailer. I’m surprised that you don’t hang out with your dad more and learn how to work on stuff the same level he knows. I’d do it before it’s too late. I just lost my dad and it sucks bad.
We both have great side hustles! I resell on Ebay and make $3000 a month with only 8 hours of work every week. if you teach me trailer rentals I can show you how to resell! I would love to work with you!
Super glad your business is booming Bobby! The kind of luck I have is the trailer would get stolen by my first renter and boom I'm out a trailer. I don't have any luck what so ever. I'm the black sheep of the luck family.
Just keep in mind don’t just keep pumping grease into each wheel bearing without disassembling and cleaning out the hubs once in a while. Otherwise eventually you’ll blow out the hub seal and start lubricating the brake shoes.
if you over grease your wheel bearings like this can result in seal failure and then the bearing will heat up. On small bearings like this a couple a pumps with the grease gun will be plenty
Be careful greasing the hubs from the grease points. I work in a trailer shop and we try to tell everyone not to use those because there’s a big chance for you to push the seal out of the rear of the hub/drum. The best thing to do is get your hubs repacked at a trailer shop once or twice a year. It’ll increase the longevity of your trailer and possibly prevent a bearing going out and you having to spend a lot more money. A lot of people probably won’t agree, just giving my two sense. Good luck with future business!!
You don’t have to pump all that grease out, you just pump grease into those wheel bearings until some grease starts to purge out of the crevice and then your good to go
you need to goto a trailer shop or even Walmart carries greasable caps with ther own zerk fitting on them so not only does it make sure ur frailer axles stayed greased up it also adds to the amount of capacity of grease it holds so it has more on reserve in ther which helps keep the bearings cooler adding to the lifespan of trailer bearings and from other damage that happens when bearings give out under load
Just cause the grease is black doesn’t mean it dirty😂 and giving barings 1 tube EACH is insane! If u don’t want to have to change barings soon then give ur barings each like 5-6 pumps! Ur welcome
Did you ever end up getting insurance for this? What route did you take? Also, could you share what is covered in your rental agreement. Thanks man, love the rental videos
Does your trailer have a spare tire? If not, a spare or two, should bring you peace of mind. A renter would likely use a spare or two, but w/o having one, it may end poorly.
@@imbrandon16 give it time. Put money aside and NEVER spend it. That money was earned by the trailer and belongs to the trailer. Once your trailer has been paid off twice over. You can draw some from the bank.
This is the first time I’ve seen one of your videos. Where do you live? $100 a day for a trailer seems really expensive. I don’t imagine being able to get that in my area. Trailers are bountiful. Great idea though. Good hustle.
Hell yeah! Way to go man! 🤑 If I get a minute, I may try renting my trailers, too! Definitely got me in the mood to fire up the grill, but brussel sprouts? Bobster, not my fave bro! 🤮 Can't wait for the big announcement!
My biggest concern would be insurance. Vehicle insurance of the person renting will not cover a trailer in most states especially one that is rented out as a business. You would be liable as the trailer owner if the person towing the trailer was at fault for an accident and the trailer caused damage. That insurance is going to eat your profits. No way your making enough to live on after that.
Lubing is not repacking. Lubing the hub is maintenance. REPACKING the wheel bearings is longevity. Every quarter, grab the top of the trailer tire and pull/push it. If it gives, the bearings need to be repacked (w/grease). This means disassembling, packing bearings with grease, replacing the seals and reassembling.
I have thought about renting my trailer just not sure how to get started. Are you making Facebook posts on marketplace or how are you advertising your trailer?
Do you have any special rental insurance? Or how does that work?.. What if one of your renters is driving at and totals? It will insurance still cover them driving it... I'm wanting to start doing this.Just trying to figure out the logistics
Make a video on you getting the trailer? Like did you get it new used? And how was the search for that particular trailer or a trailer? Trust me stupid videos are the ones that are most interesting at least to me it is
Do you sell a course? I have so many questions. Do you have an llc for this business? How do you find this trailer? What are the best dimensions? How do you go about having the plates ?
Monthly rental cost is way too low. You could make $3k off that month. I’d only discount like a week or so at $2500. Especially if you only have one trailer. Great deal for that guy though!
I'm not kidding you when I say 3 people hit me up a day. I turn away 80% of my customers because I simply cant keep up. Prices are about to increase at this point to help take some pressure off.
if one tea shirt gets you that many entries ,that means the odds of winning are worse then the lottery.you sure talk about money a lot lately, so lets talk money,I make more money off of interest a day then you are making in a month .a skid of quick crete concrete weighs 3500 lbs so I think your calculations on sod are a bit off. most likely 1800 lbs per skid .

HOW TO ADVERTISE YOUR RENTAL - ruclips.net/video/RQoMKxBwlII/видео.htmlsi=HZQVi5-OFBjMiqW4
How are you advertising the trailers?
When you pay off the trailer you can buy another one, and rent out two trailers. Down the road you could have a full blown rental business.
There was an error in your math for the expected income for the year...

Why would they cut him a deal?
@Willyfree777 I don't see where I said that. I just said they would help you, meaning getting you the correct parts that you need.
That's a pretty smart idea. Good luck.
You got me wanting to rent a trailer. I’m surprised that you don’t hang out with your dad more and learn how to work on stuff the same level he knows. I’d do it before it’s too late. I just lost my dad and it sucks bad.
I agree with that. I wished I learned more from my dad before he passed
That grease wasn’t burned, it was moly, which is grey in color. It’s the proper grease for those bearings.
Jack up each wheel and rotate them while pumping in the grease, it pumps clean grease across all the bearings.
We both have great side hustles! I resell on Ebay and make $3000 a month with only 8 hours of work every week. if you teach me trailer rentals I can show you how to resell! I would love to work with you!

Just imagine if it doesn’t. Have an optimistic mindset not a pessimistic mindset 😉

if you over grease your wheel bearings like this can result in seal failure and then the bearing will heat up. On small bearings like this a couple a pumps with the grease gun will be plenty
This is Correct! Back side seals in the hubs are for sure messed up. And grease into the drum area on axles with brakes.
Awesome man! Look into dump trailer for rent. Little more overhead to keep it going down road, however high demand for them.
That's what I was just thinking. Get a car hauler, dump, and enclosed trailer. Get a second of whatever rents the most. Then just grow from there.

jack up the wheel, spin the tire and get at least 5 pumps in until the old grease is pushed out to the front. wipe off and done!
You don’t have to pump all that grease out, you just pump grease into those wheel bearings until some grease starts to purge out of the crevice and then your good to go

Hysong trailers. Love it. 0:16 that ohhh set the tone for the entire video for me incredible . 1:03 love you too champ
Why would he name the trailer co. after Mike? That would be a little bit odd. I guess if he married him maybe??? 🤣😂
take the wheel of pull the bearings out remove old grease and hand pack them save ya a ton of grease
Man, you’re putting a lot out there !! Be careful about spreading where you put your money. People are crazy out here

Those barrens are easy to change get a slide hammer and a couple extra barrens it only takes 15 minutes to change them
Are you trying to say "bearings"?
You can totally customize your dash. I recently customized my Bronco Raptor dash. Whenever I start the engine it plays a random Rick and Morty clip.
A tip so you don’t blow a bearing. Jack the trailer up and grease the wheels while you spin them.

Call it RFR Trailer. Revenue for Robert or Rental for Revenue
How are you insured? I have not found a way to be leagle. With letting them take it
