  • This might be the worst time to start a business. The only reason I made any money today is because of previous repeat clients. If you plan on stating any business in today's market, try to use very little to no debt if you want to survive. There are people out there killing the market working for pennies on the dollar.
    Thank you for watching & hitting the 👍 button 💙

    Starting a business is tough, I opened my restaurant in 2020 and although we are doing good I’ve had lots of friends not make it with their businesses because the time we are in is not the best especially here in California. I started my junk removal business to make some extra money and I’m able to give all my restaurant customers my business card and have stayed busy every weekend for the past 1.5 years so I’m blessed but I know how it feels when you have lots of bills to pay.

    I just want to say, Thanks for being so honest and transparent with us. It helps a lot. I've just started getting my junk removal business going. I saved up to get going. But had no idea on how much things add up. From getting yard signs $800, shirts $200 , graphics for truck and trailer $4,000, trailer (non dump 16ft used) $3,000, truck to pull said trailer $18,000, I live in HOA neighborhood so commercial space for trailer and all other supplies $1200 a month+ deposit. You can do alot with it (hauling, moving, junk removal, light demolition, etc.)
    Adding that extra foot will definitely make a difference. I love having 16' trailer two, when doing clean outs and big jobs.

    You need a CDL to haul that trailer?

    • @JackofHaulTrades
      @JackofHaulTrades  2 месяца назад +2

      Not with the kind of truck I'm using. If I were to use a 3500 dually, I would need one. As long as you're under 26,000 pounds you should be all good without a CDL

      Your plan is perfect! Have you ever used yard sings? If not look into them, they work great sometimes. I've had very good results from them since I've started! I have a link in my description. Those are the cheapest ones I've found, and they have free shipping!!

    You should be doing pictures estimating! By Time you drive, miles on the truck, gas, your personal time etc. it kills profits

    • @JackofHaulTrades
      @JackofHaulTrades  3 месяца назад

      Thank you for the tip sir. I tried picture estimates. Customers just shop around for the cheapest bid, not worth it for me. I make much more money bidding them in person, because it always you to connect on a personal level with the customer! I only do picture estimates on small small jobs
