    Also, I really love how you actually post your prices on your website. That's one of the things that really grinds my gears, companies not posting prices and always making you call for the "price gouge of the day". That totally makes me NOT call and keep on looking for a more reputable company, one that's not afraid to post it's prices. Be real, be upfront. kodos to you.

      Yep! The idea was to flip the traditional business model that has been around for years with all these big companies! We are in a time of instant gratification, instant info, and tech. If you make it hard for people, you loose business like crazy

    Keep it up man! I've been watching your videos for a little while now, it's good inspiration to start me some side hustles. I really like the way you're branching out too. I have similar ambitions. For me, I live in a dense city and storage options are limited or at a premium, I found this out when we purchased an RV. Even finding a place to park my cans/trailer if I get into this business will be a challenge. I just have to keep looking for that spot.

    if you get a snow pusher, you can get some parking lots for snow removal, so many options for work with one. Kubota has a bad design where dirt falls behind the arm and packs in, dont know if its that way on the newer ones but the older one I had was brutal.

    • @rollingops
      @rollingops  Год назад +1

      I have noticed that in the old ones, I think they mitigated it a bit in the newer ones!

    The brush cutter is definitely a much sought after attachment to have for the skid. I could see it being great for your personal use. For renting I think it might get destroyed pretty quick? Keep us updated

    get a good rental agreement, don't use rubber tracks for demo work, get on forums and find out how to bullet proof them the best as possible, get window protectors for when it is parked overnight along the street because kids are stupid and love to throw rocks, get some chains on the front of the cutter so anything getting shot out the front gets knocked down to the ground, get your self a hot power washer to help with maintenance, your cab gets dirty because you run it with the door open instead of closing the cab and using the a/c and heat. its designed to be a conditioned space and will help you cut down on the time to get it ready ,hope this helps

    I love your videos they are entertaining and fun to watch hope you keep making more! I was wondering do you charge people a flat rate like $350 a day with no hidden fees or are there other fees? What do you recommend your viewers to use to keep their clients card on file and be able to charge them? I remember seeing in one of your videos you use something like google drive and make folders with your clients name then put all their documents like credit card info, driver license. and contract. How do you go about charging them if your not allowed to store their CVV though you have an authorization form signed by them?

    • @rollingops

      I use Square to take credit cards, and it stores any information appropriately if you need to charge again! Take a look at my site for pricing rollingops.com. I use Google drive to signed rental equipment contracts, but not dumpsters.

    Clayton are you charging people additional for the Fuel usage or are you just including that in the equipment rental ? For brush clearance work I usually charge by the job. I try not to charge by the hour because It is a set rate and the customer agrees to the final price and it's on a signed contract. The problem I had if I charged by the hour people would complain if if I Took longer than they thought it would And think that I was trying to stretch out the job to make more money And the other problem if I got it done quicker than II thought I would I didn't make enough money to justify going out there for 1 or 2 hours. On government work Most of that was bid by the acre With a minimum charge per site Location or straight bid per location site.
